Apparently the CW section of the CS is now being switched over to a new system. However, the only place you can see any information about this is if you're a CW creator. I didn't know that this thread in regards to this new system even existed until alerted me to it through my question thread. I'm a creator but that doesn't mean I check that forum. I haven't had the need to as I don't use the CS' CW selling system and I'm not on the lookout for a commission right now and needing to check as to who's available.

I've been watching news like a hawk and not once has there been a new report about the CS no longer housing CWs. There hasn't been one news report about when they're planning on making the switch-over. There hasn't been one news report about the reasons why this is happening or anything. It's been hidden from a lot of players' view as you can only see the thread if you're a CW creator. This is not a really great way to keep the players informed of what's going on especially when CWs are such a huge thing on this site. Not everyone's a creator. It'd be nice if the whole site was kept up-to-date through the news as to what's going on in the CS's CW section.

It's great that there's some information but it doesn't help the general population as it's in an exclusive forum. Something like this should've had updates every step of the way on site. Not on FB, not on Twitter, not on anything offsite. On Subeta.

There was a thread made about the upcoming change (I believe after someone pointed out that it was only mentioned on Tumblr), but I'm lagging like hell right now so I can't find it.

I know there's probably going to be an announcement of some sort made once people are done setting up their shops and things but since a big section of the Cash Shop is suddenly unavailable it would have been nice to at least get a siteupdate ping about it or something :l

They're not saying anything about it yet, because they want to give creators a chance to set up their shops before the feature is unrolled (after all, how boring would it be to unroll a feature, have people excited for it, and then there be no shops set up?).

Yeah, but it would've been nice to have let the site know in advance that a) the CW section would be taken down and when and b) the reasons for the change-over so that users are prepared for this massive change.

Letting users know after the fact is a little redundant as it's already happened. For something this big a lot of advanced notice with a whole huge list of reasons as to why this his happening would've been probably greatly received instead of just doing it and then letting the site know. This is real money stuff. Something like this should've been given advanced notice.

Doing this during an event is also not the best way of doing things. I feel as though this should've been left until there's a break in between holidays.

Not quite sure how the cw creators would be unaware of this change. It was coming as Keith himself stated in the brainstorming thread. And we aren't children. We don't need to know everything that happens every single second of the day do we? As someone who commissions and sells cws I would be more pissed if this opened up and I didn't have a clue as to how it worked or how to get it set up the way I want.

I'm reserving judgement until the system is open to everyone, but I'm going to be super annoyed if all artists shops are not available somewhere to see in one place.

There were things I was keeping an eye on and had mental notes on things I wanted to buy out of the cash shop, I don't know who the artists are, just the item. It will be annoying trying to track all those items down since I don't know the names of the items just the item image.

But I will remain hopeful and positive :)

I hope the system of searching by layer is still a part of this system. I actually was trying to look at the foot layer today and was really confused by the error message. So it is a little annoying as a customer.

I accept that at least. :) It's just unfortunate as I was really wanting to get something special in that shop today :/ Maybe there could've been a site update note saying that CW section in CS will be closed to allow for new site feature so that people could've been a little les disappointed if they were hoping to buy in there today? Oh well XD

Is there a chance that there could be a CW shop mall or something where it could have all the CW shops in one area so that users can look through all that there's offered in one place (similar idea to the CS but more like the main shops page or something). I know you said something about the wardrobe, like going through all the CWs in a certain layer section and clicking the "buy" link and be taken to the user's shop. The problem with that is that you possibly find something in the wardrobe but it's not for sale when you click that "buy" link. This way, having all the shops together in one area where you can look at what's for sale, you know what's out there and what's not instead of hoping for something and then it's not available making the user disappointed.

That...that is...that's just awesome! I now bow to your thoughtfulness and great way of thinking of things!

I'm really impressed with the new wardrobe feature for cw's. That was a terrific idea and may make me buy more items than I normally would have. Fair play to you guys!

I love the new CW shop thing and how we can see the CWs available via the wardrobe! :D However I think it sucks that private items that require a password to buy show up in there...it would suck to get excited about an item, go to buy it and then realise it's not available to you.

Edit: I really hope if we "follow" a shop we won't get pinged about said private items if we aren't eligible lol

I would have still appreciated a 24h announcement before it would happen, since a fair amount of items available in the CS will most likely NOT be available on the new system, if only because those people aren't active on Subeta anymore.

Otherwise I agree there was good reasoning on why the general announcement about the new system hasn't happened yet.

I was, am, hoping that there will be a section in the CS that kept items from frozen or un-active users available to everyone. If not, that's pretty crappy that everyone on site didn't get a notice that items from certain non-active users would be retiring. Hopefully, we'll hear in the news post that's suppose to be made about this particular part, as I'm very interested to know the outcome.

Unfortunately I'm considering these items gone... but I would love to have official confirmation, yes. Now I'm hoping that everyone who owns items I planned to buy will make them available again on their shops, but there's a chance not even all of those will be re-added :/

At the same time, I was concerned about keeping the availability of the (since it's the season!) and I'd have enjoyed not having to set up shop/help friends out while there's a plot step to figure out / ToT and pumpkin patch to be done -mini rant-

I hear you. There's enough stuff to be doing right now without the added hassle, even though I don't do customs, I can still empathize with those of you who do :)

Yeah, I was looking at quite a bit of stuff. I also want to know about the limited items, the ones that were only suppose to be in there 84 days? Those were the main ones I was looking into buying, before time ran out.

I think this just came out way too soon and with little or no warning, I was keeping track of the brainstorming thread but would have liked to be given some kind of warning about what was to happen. I honestly though it would take a few months (or more) before it went live.
