Yeah xD Since the interface was still up for shopping when it all came out, I wanted to put the items back asap and then all events for tot/pp/keeping up with the thread (there's a thread on the cw makers area...), omg.

The limited items were lost for a few minutes, but Keith pushed a fix so they would be auto-added to users personal shops (with the bonus of permanent availability, so they're not going away after a few days)! I'm not sure if the price needs to be re-added, but they should be there already. I wish the same had happened to ALL CS items, though. These people's shops would be unformatted / uncategorized, but (supposing the price would have been kept) at least others would still be able to buy.

Same... although I knew what was about to happen, I hoped to see it fleshed out a bit more before coming live. There were concerns (like "what happens to inactive people's items") that never got addressed, which now became real issues x:

I wanted to give creators the option to opt out of the new system - hence why not moving things to it automatically.

That's lovely to hear about the limited items, I'm at least happy about that.

It would have been easier to have an -option- to move all items over at once, for those that wanted to have a shop, rather than making artists/ commissioners move items over one at a time. ( I think that's how it is done).

Poor KarenP, I've been getting tons of pings about all the items she's adding to her shop. It doesn't bother me at all, but every time another one comes in I think, poor thing, bless her.

I guess it makes sense to allow them to not use shops, but suddenly taking these items out still voids their original intention of having them permanently available to the public :/

I do appreciate the intention of giving us a choice (to use the new format), but I stand by the fact that users should've had a bit of a notice to go and purchase things that could be potentially gone.

ANYWAY I just saw this on the other topic and thought it was relevant to mention,

until then I&;m going to be looking for a way to get the inactive / frozen user items back into shops for those users.

Thanks for that! It would be very nice to have the items that haven't been moved into shops available at least for a limited timeframe, to give people the option to shop before they're (possibly) permanently gone (:

Yeah, I'd have liked that too, kind of a "quick stock" (I also got Karen's pings, and many other people's) xD But at least we're only going to have to do this once, and hopefully the new system will be around permanently...

That sounds great, all though I would prefer for them to be around forever so I have time to buy everything I want, ha!

I hope it works out the way people have hoped it would, it might take some time to get used to though. I still really wish there would be a directory of all the shops on one page.

Yeah, if there was a way to create some sort of "mix" limbo staff shop for all those items, it would probably be the best option. I get items can't be there (like they couldn't be on the CS) AND on someone's shop at the same time, but maybe the users could ticket staff to have it manually removed from there (so they could be added to their personal shops)? I mean, sure it's extra work for the admins, but I don't think we have so many CW makers who had things there on the first place... especially when we take off those who already moved to the new system.

And then if those people never want to deal with having their own, new system shop, they can just leave it on that staff shop forever.

Maybe we could have a few days for people to make their shops, THEN staff makes a staff shop with everything that hasn't been pulled from the old CS pool, and THEN if those users ever want to make their own shops they can ticket staff. In my mind it kinda works...

[edit] For clarity, staff shop would run on the new system. Doesn't need to be on any staffer name, just a general site-run shop (that wouldn't get any new items, too), but the admins would need to have a way to pull the item out of there.

!!! YES! There are many things I still need to grab from the CS; even if the items would only be available for a limited time, that would be very helpful. A lot of the items on the old CS CW system are uploaded by now inactive/frozen users, and were intended for permanent release in the CS, and it would be disheartening for someone to find out that they would no longer have a chance at obtaining those items.

Blanche That's pretty much what I was thinking on how it could be done. It seems a simple fix that would make everyone happy.

Please to be having no limited items. I think Keith would find he'd make more money in the long run if they were in there indefinitely (or like Blanche was saying, until the person came back and claimed their items for their own shop). Csc are very expensive right now, you have to give people time to get things. If there was a limit, it should be a year before they retire.

EDITED To Add: I agree with LucidDreams that private items or items you need a password for should not show up in the Cash Shop wearable section of the wardrobe. I was looking through there just now and saw a few things I 'd like only to find out they were private. That is annoying beyond words.

I also do not want pings if the item is just going to be private, there's is nothing more disheartening in relation to Cw's than getting a ping for an awesome item and finding out it's only for this, this and that person.

I thought that I read on the brainstorming thread that those pings would go out separate or the artist/comm would have to invite individually for those, or maybe it was just suggested I don't remember.

All I know is, it should be against the rules to ping your whole group of 200 people for private items that they know are reserved for specific individuals. I'd like to say this doesn't happen, but it does and it's freaking annoying.

Yeah, I'd much rather the alert only comes out when people price their items and place them in a non-password protected area. I personally never thought of this system as a place to deal privates on, but either way (even if the person intended the item to be public) I have no use for alerts that tell me an item has been added but isn't ready for purchase for me x: And then if people are dealing privates, maybe there can be a shop option to disable the availability alert as a whole (thus only sending password alerts to the chosen people).

So "(name) has put the item (name) in their custom wearable shop!"

would turn into

"(name) has made the item (name) available in their custom wearable shop!" (it doesn't need to tell me the price nor the shop section or anything else really)

I am also not amused by the way if you click the back button, you re-buy the item. I now own three copies of the same item because I accidentally backpaged.

If you follow site update threads, brainstorming or the forum you made this thread on- Feedback, you can find out about this stuff pretty early on. :) I'm not a cw creator but I've known about this idea since early October.

It started with the feedback thread, (halfway down this forum actually), called Forum-groups the new ones. Then another thread Here started up because of that one. And EVERYONE can view or comment. When that one started picking up speed and good ideas they made ANOTHER thread for it Here. Again, everyone can view or comment. They were in no way hiding this from non-cw creators! You just have to read some threads to find out about it. :) I can understand how they would move the technical aspect to the cw-creator thread though once they had a program to implement. I mean that makes sense, especially since anyone could comment on those other 3 threads. I think how they announced it was just fine since only a small percentage of site users (cw sellers) will be putting items into the shops compared to the massive amount of people who don't do cws. I did link the threads for you so if you want you can go back and read them and hopefully it will make more sense to you.

Some feedback I hope to address tomorrow:

 • Searching! You should be able to search for users
 • The front page organized a little differently.
 • The alerts.
