Man has a serious problem... and I have more of a problem with his quests, especially now that he always says he "can't wait to sink his teeth into these!"

Like, either he needs to become a zombie, his text needs to change, stop asking for zombie foods, or could we get the option to disable the personality feature?

Its freaking nasty when he asks for and then tells you he can't wait to eat it. Ew. Ewww. EW. No.

I could get past it when feeding these things to my pets, since animals will actually eat things like that... but humans? Hannibal might eat brains, but I don't know of anyone who ate vomit.

And, honestly, I was moderately ok until he started spouting that he can't wait to sink his teeth into it. Simple fix: Change the text to not so obviously him eating shit. Or make him a zombie (would be great for next Survival/Pandemic)

As gross as it is that he asks for food like that, removing them from the quest pool would pretty much destroy the value of the items.

I just ignore it, but maybe the text could be removed if it is bothersome.

So you want the text to change just for zombie food? You want a detection just for zombie food so the text changes? seems like a hassle. And just changing him zombie because he requests food items that CAN be zombie food that just makes no sense at all.

Getting down and dirty to the really crucial things on subeta in here.

I've been mulling over how all the quest-giving NPCs in Subeta seem to have become Unliving food devotees ever since those items were introduced for awhile now. Pete's far from the only one, although I agree that the new text adds an extra layer!

I just think about it the same way I do about how the Wizard's always asking for bras and Cynthia asks for razors and try not to look too closely.

it doesn't bother me but it is my opinion if such a simple thing like a line of text offenses anyone so much than it seems to bother you it should be changed!

For my opinion it doesn't count by a subject as minor as this how many people are not offended but how many are!

So I support your request and hope you'll succeed and it will be changed. There might be others that are also offended but don't dare to tell so for heavens sake, I ask those who say they don't care at all: why not make things a bit more comfortable for those who do care and support their requests instead of insulting and trolling them?

I think I read the dialogue for each quest giver once. I guess thinking of Pete sinking his teeth and chomping into some sort of shit or pus or vomit treat is pretty nasty, but I haven't envisioned it before now haha

Yes, it bothers me. I don't see how changing a line of text is going to affect how anyone else will play. I've taken to only doing any Pete quests when Shinwa forces me to. :/ I can't avoid it unless I literally remove two quests, and Shinwa is too useful to really do that (levelling a pet).

Or, you know... give those of us who are bothered by it the option to toggle it off. I love it on all of the other NPCs, but Pete just makes me sick to my stomach.

I don't think Pete means it literally. "To sink one's teeth into something" more or less means to get started on something with enthusiasm. You don't sink your teeth into a good book, or a movie. In this case, however, it does sound wrong in some situations. ;P

Was suggest really just sarcastically pinged to try and what... get people to back up your insults and targetting?

The fact of the matter is that there's is a sort of grossness to it, but that's mainly due to the cannabalistic factor that now takes place. Honestly, I don't have a problem with the way it is now, especially since I feel it does mimic real life as delicacies in other countries are often seen as something gross and unappealing to outsiders. But people like chefs and food lovers take the risks and open their mind up and are willing to try these things that can seem revolting at first.

So yeah, I'm fine with his text now, but I do think OP has a point because we have been seeing additional text added in places on site to help flesh out Subeta. So when things like this are added it would be nice for staff to just take an extra moment to make sure it makes sense the majority of the time. I think staff did a fine job here, but to be honest, I don't think they took the NPCs item asking pool too much into consideration. I haven't really been paying attention to most of the text, though and I do realize it would be unnecessary to individualize text for every kind of item they have the potential to ask for.

glad you appreciate what I tried to say. I really hope something can be done to help as much people as possible to enjoy themselves while playing, I think that's what a game is meant for.

Of course not everything can be done for everyone, but your request is so small and still seems to mean so much to you that I really think staff should consider this!

And even in this post some seem to feel related to your opinion so I'm sure there are even more all over the page!
