Something I'd really like to see happen is being able to change the coloring of delish clothes, like we're able to with the delish hair. Idk about anyone else, but I tend to use mostly black colors, and delish has almost no black clothing. In fact most of the delish colors are...brown, at least the male sets, the exception of some of the newer sets where they added colors Delish Chance and the Zoe sets...but I rarely, if ever, use green or pastel colors. I love the shapes of a lot of the clothing, but the coloring just sucks for my purposes.
I realize we ALL want to see the wardrobe work before anything like this is implemented, but I thought it would be a good suggestion now since they have to recode everything anyway.
came up with a neat idea, that might be better than an actual recoloring system in the wardrobe
A system like this exists on another site. It&;s called a Dye System and it took some time for the site to perfect (it&;s still bugged, as well as the dyeables).
This got me intrigued, though, so I went look a bit into it. Based on some information I saw, and thinking about it a bit further, I wonder if it wouldn't be nice to have dyeable Delish - except not via "salon", where you pick the color of your clothes, but via the Alchemist, by picking one Delish piece + the desired tincture.
The Alchemist is still a very underused feature, and given we have a definite number of tinctures (which could be limited even further, not all tinctures would have to work with any given wearable), the artist would have the recolors done themselves (no loss of item quality) and we could still get more variety off the pieces we bought. This might very well be a terrible suggestion, but in theory it could work. If it did, though... it'd mean great business for Subeta and pockets forever empty for all of us, lol.
Craftable Delish isn't what you want, but it doesn't require any extra coding and you'd still have black if this was a thing? IDK
[edit] Of course, once dyed, the process isn't reversible. So if you die your Delish black, you're stuck with the black version unless you buy another set. n_n
I can tell you right now this is probably never going to happen.

Yeah, I can't see any way this could possibly work. I mean, the hair loses so much detail when it gets redeemed and recolored. Imagine how bad clothes would look.
Yeah, this sounds like a ton more work for staff, that could just be solved by the Delish, Viv, and Zoe lines showing some variety.

For Subeta, that sort of thing would likely cause more issues with the site. While I would love to recolor some of the Delish stuff, I don't really mind it nor do I see how it could be instituted.
It is an interesting idea. Just seems like it would be somewhat complicated though.
They should just make more sets with darker colors then? It would be sad to see the other sets lose all the detail and charm they have if you could recolor them. I'm sure the artist(s) could work with sets and give them black or much darker colors to make up for it though.
(for those of you who might not have seen this!)
Hi guys, what do you think about dyeable clothing sets (crafted via Alchemy)? Is this something anyone would like to see on the CS Boutique? Would it be nicer for regular items? Or is it just an unnecessary complication to the process of recoloring? Any ideas? Feelings? xD
---original post---
I sympathize with this feeling... we have so many wonderful staple items that I would love to see in more colors, but I also truly can not imagine a way to have a "clothes salon" work, for the above mentioned reasons :c

[edit] Edit again xD I only see craft items being sold for csc IF, at most, they're only used for regular items. Say, there's bleach in the CS, but bleach is not a "recipe ingredient" for crafting dyed CS sets.
Oooh I actually really like this idea! I will say I was a bit worried about the loss of quality, but the fact that so many staple items are pretty much useless due to the coloring, I figured loss of quality was better than nothing. BUT this idea is even better because of how easy it is to recolor an item even if we only have the PNG and the PS file is lost. And this would also cut out all that ugly coding, even though it would be fairly easy thing to do, but lets be honest do we really want to throw more stuff at the coders when they're already overwhelmed lol
I rather like the idea of craftable boutique sets via alchemy! If this were implemented I doubt it'd be retroactive for past sets, but it's an interesting idea for the future. :)
@ Blanche I HAVE LITERALLY BEEN DEBATING SUGGESTING THAT FOR A LONG WHILE NOW. Except not just for Delish items, but for all items around the site. Not every last item, naturally, but some items that are one-offs in sets. I had the idea wearing the little mini kilt and wishing it came in yellow.
Edit: It'd be a good way to bring in some new recolors of older items, too.
Haha, glad someone likes it! When I posted that, I was wondering whether that would be a nice or a terrible idea... xD I think it wouldn't quite work for every item on site, since some are rather unique and/or would look strange in some color combos (plus all that work to recolor everything!) but I do wish it would be considered for some popular designs, especially CS ones. We sure can make CWs to fit our needs, I just happen to prefer when it's an official item available to everyone / something that brings Subeta more revenue in the long run c: plus I think crafting deserves more love ahah
I was going off of the existing items, but I could see special ingredients or Alchemy tokens sold for csc, too, as long as they weren't too expensive (like 25 csc maybe?)!
I'd hate for it to just be CS stuff. But I also wouldn't want it for every item. TS items could do it, SubQ items as well. Old items that only came in one color that are revamped could, too.
And they could use the tinctures and the food dyes, though do we have bleach ?
There is definitely a lot of potential outside the CS, too. That's actually why I mentioned maybe having a crafting item for a little bit of csc, so the time the artists spent (even if much less if it's only a recolor) could still generate some revenue ^^; Popular items that only come in a single color are big pet peeves of mine!
I don't think we have any bleach -just searched and only found CWs- :c
I would like that, but not for cash shop items.
I'd like it, not Cash Shop though. Everything is freaking CS nowadays.
I don't know how fond of this I woukd be if it was restricted to CS items, but at the same time i don't want everytime a TS item is released people demand it in 6 recolors.
Also I would be bummed if this opened the Alchemist to everyrone.
I like the idea of being able to dye items, and the point of not being to dye them back (at least from a profit standpoint) is great, it would lead to an increase in sales! I love the Delish lines, and sometimes I wish I could tweek the colors, even only by a little! It would be cool to have Delish items as transformable into other colors too! HA makers love items like it would be cool to be able to transform them into orange or red or gold!
I dunno, I love all types of suggestions like this. Anything to improve the wardrobe/add more clothes make me happy!
