...anyway where was I. Hmm... I've totally forgotten now. Memory like a sieve.

First thing's first, I think we better all introduce ourselves. For the newcomers' benefit of course. Not for mine. i obviously have an amazing memory. Isn't that right Tupsy? Tupsy? Don't give me that look. Hmph. Cats! So i'll go first:

My name is Kyocera, Kyo for short, or some people call me Kate. (Bit of a weird name if you ask me but I don't mind it. Weird is good.) I live here in my humble hobbit hole with Tupsy, my magical friend. She used to be called Mimsy but on November 23rd last year she went a bit funny in the head and demanded she was now to be called Tupsy! Cats! Go figure! I used to be all about the magic. Born with it dontcha know but last year really made me think about what I was doing with my talents. So now I'm a ranger. I love the outdoors and animals. It really calms me. I also found out recently that I love flying. I was taught by my mentor, this half human half rabbit lovey called Bimbus. He took me up in my first airship and I was hooked!! He said I was a natural. Flying is sooo amazing! And Tupsy loves it too. Although that may just be because she can now chase birds through the air. Silly thing.

Anyway that's enough about me. I want to hear about you. Make yourselves at home. I have enough rooms. We can use this as a base of operations if you like. Obviously anything we want to keep secret would have to be notes passed to each other. I like to keep my doors and windows open so I can always smell the flowers, but that means anyone could be listening. (We should get our board back on Subetalodge to dicuss private things.)

I may be host to you all but I would welcome any and all suggestions. I want everyone to have a fun time here. ^_^

It seems we have our first puzzle to solve!! I'll try and list everything in this post or annoy Clara with putting stuff in the previous post. We will see how it goes ^_^

"Here's what we know:

1. There are seven different rules in play for transforming words.
2. Words of the same color all follow the same rule.
3. One of the words is the first sentence is actually "word."
4. Orange words have replaced every vowel with the letter "n."
5. Every line has one extra anagrammed word. When you find each of those words and unscramble them, AND Apply the appropriate rule to the unscrambled word, the third letter of each word will form the keyword we need.

"That's all we figured out, unless Pen has thought of something else. If you desperately need more info, I'll shake something out of him, but it will take me a few days to get back to him. In the meantime, get to work, please! We need that keyword! I think all our safety, in fact, the safety of our world, may depend on what we learn now!"

(Okay, Protectors, get decoding and send in that keyword from your team, along with the "rule" for each color. Right click for larger image. You already know Orange. This isn't easy, but you have six minds working away. Don't try to do this all by yourself. You may figure out a piece, and someone else will grab another for a shared "aha." Violet and Indigo were the toughest for me. (Teeny nudge: Wouldn't hurt to look up the term "Caesar Cipher: Shift 13.)[/SPOILER]

Hello! hugs all around Mmm, fish fingers :) For our new team members, I'm haneway or hane or jane, whatever works. Technomancy is my specialty -- working with all the twiddly fiddly bit or using "magic" if you must call it that. I'm going to secure our lair against snooping by other teams, so we can discuss this puzzle in private puts up some copper shielding

LOL, so much for having a whole month :D Since we're working on an open board here, rather than the SL forums, which were private, how are we going to do the things which need several of us to work on it? I mean, my copper shielding can only do so much to hold out snoopers... runs to build a video surveillance system outside the hobbit hole

Do you have 22 spare lenses and a big wind up key?

i've mailed georgie with a list of our names so we should get a SL board back up and running soon for the group things. In the meantime i've just been using a pigeon with a note strapped to it's leg smail. ^_^ I'll ping the group once I hear back from Georgie :)
