Maybe I haven't looked hard enough, but it seems that there are no "Lion King" references. That is/was one of Disney's hugest cashcows ever!

WHY NO ITEMS?

I'm certain any bug items could make a reference to Hakuna Matata, when Timon and Pumbaa are conversing during the song's interlude. "Slimy yet satisfying!" "Tastes like chicken!" "These are rare delicacies; mmm...pecans with a very pleasant crunch." "Ooh, the little cream-filled kind!"

Some quotes, neh?

Uh...hmm. Maybe a lion-looking Minion that could be called Zimba (since Z and S are fairly close, and obviously avoiding K for those who know the controversial debate) and the description could be either like a tiny synopsis of the story; or you could just put "Oh I just can't wait to be king!" OR "This little guy just can't wait to be king!" as the description, and the reference would be pretty dang obvious.

And finally, wouldn't it be awesome to have a background wearable of Scar's lair, with the creepy cavern-eqsue feel with the green geysers and smoke? That area in the "Be Prepared" song. As for a description, how about referring to its creepiness and a perfect home for a villain; "just watch out for the geysers when they erupt cause it'll burn ya"!

Any other suggestions welcomed. =) And no, custom wearables are not my thing, so I would not take kindly to "just get a CW of it!" cause I refuse to support that... thing. I don't even know what it is. o.O

Lol! This is a cute idea, I guess more Disney tribute items in general? :P They do have the Enchanted Castle Playset which is a parody of Beauty and the Beast, so I don't see why Lion King related items can't be released.

Fully agreed! I mean, if Disney's (circa 1970's) 'Robin Hood' can get it's own reference item, then TLK, which is vastly superior to the former, deserves recognition. xD

Lol, I was just as shocked. Funny thing is, I've looked through that Tribute Items thread on General Discussion millions of times...and yet it never registered in my brain that there was is a serious and sore lack of TLK awesomeness. Stuff like "The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas" or Metroid, I can understand the little to no reference items (gosh I'd kill for more Metroid stuff; I'm a disgusting fangirl for the series)...but TLK? Nah, way too big a fanbase to continue being ignored. xD

I don't pay much attention to a lot of the references that items make; I always figure if I didn't catch it, I wasn't a very big fan anyway. But I would definitely love some Lion King references, since I know the movie almost word-for-word (yet still cry over Mufasa more often than not, because I'm really bad at being an adult, I guess)

True, but Subeta is always at risk of coming under fire from bigger companies and copyright issues. Then again, depends on what direction Subeta would want to go in if TLK reference items were even made. xD

TLK is big in my house right now. My daughter loves the movies and so do I. Would be great to see something in reference to TLK :)

To be honest I would vastly prefer a Scar minion (or maybe a plushie) to a Simba one, Zazu would also be fun. But yes we definitely need lion king references

YES. Also, Fox and the Hound references and Oliver & Company (because everyone always forgets about Oliver & Co.) But yeah, I'd totally get the lion companion. You could also do a Zazu companion and a background of the scar pelt from Hercules, as "he'd make a very lovely throw rug"
