Why have the elixir prices been raised again?

People were already refusing to buy them out of the Magic Box when the price was raised to 30k. Why have the prices been raised to ten times that at ~300-400k?

I agree! Even for restockers it's simply not worth anymore to restock. I refuse to buy potions and elixiers for Quests which are so expensive!

Maybe Keith's going for a different approach...buying up the ones in user shops wasn't working, there were too many in circulation still and people are stubborn...this on the other hand, may work. Not for profit, but people needing elixirs will have to buy them for those prices eventually. Fantastic sP sink!

It's not just the elixirs, everything in the shop has drastically inflated. The Nori line of clothes, tiger talismans, etc are selling for 30-40k. At this sort of ridiculous prices, no one will buy anything from the magic box.

Maybe the reason why elixir prices haven't risen much after the previous shop price increase is because they're just not in very high demand. People might rather zap their pets or create new ones instead. This price change will only make things worse.

No, but I do turn in potions and elixirs when the price is okay? And when the books are inflated, I'd turn them in as well. When potions and elixirs are just there for.. well, my pets, the price might be alright because I'd rarely buy any. But with the item hunt and quests it really depends and I wouldn't buy them. 30k sP is something I'd spend; 300k is something else.

What are the potions supposed to do when you rarely buy them? When that's really the idea, the Magic Box could restock similar to SBQ instead of stocking like a regular shop.

On the other hand this is going to make Saggi even more of a nightmare. -_-

Whoops, didn't notice that. o_o Hm perhaps you're right. I'm not sure I like the idea necessarily but it would be a good sP sink if it works.

I think elixirs are supposed to be like SBQ items now, in that they have high official shop prices. And they're not supposed to be cheap fodder for quests.

However, the amount of available SBQ items to be stocked is much much smaller than for the Magic Shop. That's why it feels like SBQ stocks less. I'm pretty sure restocks are still dependent on item rarity.

Actually, I feel like this is actually generating more sP than it is taking away since people are just turning elixirs into the pawn shop and throwing a lot of sP into the economy this way. The thing about elixirs though is that no one seems to want them (even the bloodred ones people don't seem to have any interest in), regardless of what price they are at. Now I feel that the only profitable things left in the magic box are the potions and that elven ring.

The pawn shop is going to fill up fast at this rate and it is mostly a half-priced elixir store now.

I was about to say, 300-400k?! That can't be right. Glad it was an error. xD But they're still pretty high at an average of 125k per elixir. =(
