There are a number of things I want to address here, firstly:

Thank you: I'm coming up to my 5th year on Subeta now, and I know perfectly well that if it wasn't for running my commissions on here, I'd have stagnated into nothing but half-hearted fanart a long time ago and lost the ability to draw anything else, for those who don't know I'm really pushing myself this year in a lot of areas in my artwork, and I hope that will be a trend that continues, I was also commissioned by Pepsi to draw my single largest piece to date which was a huge boost to my confidence.

Quite simply I can't believe how far I have come since I joined this site!

So thank you in particular for being brave enough to be the first person to commission me for something so large.

So thank you all very much, in case anyone was wondering this is the oldest piece of art of mine I can find surviving, with one of my earliest commissioners: LINK, some 4 years ago.

Money and Moving: I have 208 users in my art ping group on here, I'm not sure how many are active, but I know that my slots are always snapped up fairly fast. For the longest time knowing I had this group of people specifically following me on here, within easy reach, has stopped me from trying to push myself further with my commissions, why try to start again on another site when I have Subeta here and it's already established? But Subeta has a let down: it's populated with people like me. The majority are quite simply not rolling in cash and the few that are... Well who says they're interested in my work? So I've been happy (legitimately happy) to work for lower prices to cater specifically to students and the low-paid, but recently I've become aware that I've quite simply outgrown that pay bracket, I'm under pricing myself badly and Subeta is going to end up becoming a limiting factor, not one of growth.

I am moving my commissions to Weasyl, however as I'm starting fresh I will also be advertising/posting on dA, FA and Tumblr, on top of that I'll continue to ping my group when slots open.

Sketch (£5) and Overlay (£20) remain the same, and I will still accept sP/csc for Overlay slots as I am still active on this site, all other types however are GBP only.

I will no longer have x number total slots, I will have instead a set number of slots per commission type, so that cheaper commissions do not exclude people who'd want something larger.

I have two commissions left to do in the current system/old prices, then I shall be moving over to this format, as such New style commissions are open, slot and price info is on my Weasyl as are examples, style info will be sorted out over the next few days =3

I hope I'll see some of you interested in larger pieces, I've drawn some incredible things thanks to you and I hope that will still be true.

Good for you! I've always adored your art yet always found you really undersold yourself! Heck by time it came for me to pay, I wanted to tip you some since I don't wanna rob you for such talent haha. I know it sucks to see your fans unable to purchase your art, but sometimes in life you need to think of yourself. And seriously, your stuff's AMAZING! If I can make a but ton off of FA commissions, I know you could make a killing and gain the ability to try tons of new things in art!

Good luck yo!

Wishing you the best of luck with your off-site commissions, but I'm sure you won't need it. And wow, look at the improvement in your artwork! I'm quite jealous; I think my art has been the same for the last 4 years that it gets me very sad when I draw something, because I see no real improvement. And probably now that you've moved places with regards to commissions, I might be inclined to commission NSFW work, should I have the cash by then. I'm also glad you're going to charge fair prices for yourself -- you owe it to yourself to do so. :)

Out of curiosity though, will you still be willing to take commissions for custom clothing, off-site?

I always found you deserve the prices you give, if not more :) Hope you get plenty of well paid commissioners, so they can pay for your art accordingly. However I am a bit confused as what SFW and NSFW mean, could you explain that to me please?

Good for you! That piece you did for is amazing and I'm looking forward to seeing more of such pieces (since I always lurk to see what you've been drawing x'D). And if you'd be comfortable to drawing my two house cats again, I'll definitely be saving up for a piece of you <3 Lots of luck to you!

Thank you very much ^^ Of course I would =3

I hope so too, it would be a great help atm. SFW = Safe for Work NSFW = Not Safe for Work I draw some 18+ smutty stuff and there are some situations in which you may wish to avoid that, or simply not see it at all, if you're old enough to be accessing. On Tumblr anything nude /or/ sexual is tagged NSFW so it can be filtered, on Weasyl explicit is outlined with a red corner, and mature (non-sexual nudes etc...) have a green corner and I keep all my previews on my gallery SFW/ dA doesn't (in theory) allow NSFW subjects, though we all know that's not true... I do keep my gallery on there as clean as possible however.

Thank you ! I'm infamously lazy with my personal work but I go the extra mile for money ^^; so commissions really helped me develop quickly and now I'm in a place where I'm a lot more interested in drawing well for myself again. Oh really? I look forward to seeing what you have in mind then =D I do, but I only accept CW commissions on a case-by-case basis, I think the only ones I've turned down have been because I was already really busy though.

Thank you ^^ a couple of people told me the recently and I pushed me that extra couple of inches I needed to actually do this thang. I was hoping to set up on FA properly but I joined the exodus, can't say I wanted to be on the site any more... But I'm not above using it as a temporary means to an end, hopefully things will catch on on Weasyl soon though.

I hope so too ^^ you were a pleasure to work with.

Ah I see. Thank you for explaining :) Will check your gallery on Weasyl and see if I an follow you or something like that, once I got an account there so I get updates when you upload something.

I used to be on dA, but since they've stopped supporting the browser I use and seem to get more and more cluttered and stuff I am rarely online there anymore So good to see you upload to a site that is so far very pleasant to navigate around at.

Your art is absolutely amazing, and you totally deserved being paid more. I've come back to Subeta recently, and am so fangirling over your latest artworks. It's truly magnificent, I adore your unique style and universe. I wish you to be successful offsite and can't believe how lucky we are you are still doing sp/CSC slots.

I'm quite the same, though I suppose in my case, it's a bit more of being unable to find the time to draw for my own use, or being unable to draw the subject matter I DO want to draw (technical skill deficiencies, et cetera.) I really doubt I'm at the skill level where I can charge real money for my artwork, but I am hoping to develop to that degree by the end of this year, at the earliest. Haha, it won't be animal-related NSFW (I like Weasyl, but I'm not sure if they're an anthro/animal-only site?) Eventually, I'll let you know what it is, though. =D

And that's alright! Thanks for letting me know, nonetheless! (I still have to commend you for the image you made for Pepsi -- it looks... actually, I can't even describe it, but I can imagine how much time and detail that took to make! I also love the image on your forumset with the blue hair, made me laugh out loud, IRL!)

Practice more pokes it pays off XD Though time too ;w; no amount of practising will bring down more time.

I hope so =D I've got some sketch books dedicated so certain things but finding the time / energy to work on them atm isn't going so well =X but it's helping already so... every little helps I guess? I've been doing more speed paintings and things too and that's helping. Not they're not they're 'everything goes' which is about bloody time =_=; I hated being limited on the other sites. I look forward to it ^^

No problem (that's... probably changed now though, but idk if I want to talk about it publicly, drop me a line off site or something if you wanted to know more? shrug Thank you ^^ Haha, you can thank Lucifer for that XD Lucifer and whoever made that bright teal moustache last Feb.

Thank you very much =D and welcome back to Subeta. Well I still want to work on my pets so I need an sP income /somewhere/ ;)

Weasyl already seems really nice for a site that's only in beta. If you're not interested in furry smut though I do suggest filtering +18 stuff though as it can get a bit dull after a while XD and smothers the rest of the stuff, it can always be turned back on again for specific galleries etc... the flexibility of the site is good w dA's attitude towards art theft and artists is gross, the sooner the 'big' artists are able to leave the site for new pastures, the better.

I already find it sooo much more enjoyable than dA. I try to ignore all the furry stuff most of the time, as I am not too much into that kind of.. genre. Already found some artists whose work I like beside you, so I'm pretty sure I'll stay there now :)

I do, I really like how complex the submission process is and that they have a category for characters on their own :) So I guess thanks for being the one that led me there :) My name there is the same as it is on subeta

I've been driving myself to practice more than ever, specifically drawing things I never have tried before/working slowly on more detailed images instead of shying away from them. I think I've drawn more for this month, than I have for the entirety of last two year (as far as digital art is concerned, anyway. I used to draw traditionally a lot.) Likewise, there have been time issues - uni is getting more demanding with moving from the grondwork of the thesis, on to the actual methodology. ;_; Then there's... my schedule even making my sleep schedule awful again. I think I might try the speed painting/drawing thing once I can spare time, though! =D Thanks for that tip!
