I want to know if my pets are ready to be accepted into the spotlight! (Ignore Hikaru, she has already won.)

Nominations and such are open, but I don't think any of them have been accepted into the que.

I want to make sure that everything is alright with them! (Aesthetics, writing, tc, etc.)

If something is weird with the coding of any of my pets tell me your resolution and browser!

It would be awesome if a few people could help me out, I want to make sure everything is good enough for pet spotlight!

EDIT: Virginia and Jan were rejected from the spotlight, but I am not sure why, does anyone here care to help me? I thought their profiles were simple enough...

EDIT2: Just about everyone of my pets has been rejected from spotlight and I have no idea why at this point I made sure everything looked the same in every browser and screen resolution, I just can't figure it out.

Suzuki: is serious, hard-working woman (first line of story). Should that be a serious... I think that's the only thing I could find in her story. Though the letters are a tad hard to read for me, because of the color and the size of the text. But maybe I should just wear my glasses XD

I think I like Virginia's profile the best, The colors fit perfectly and are easy on the eyes x3

Her minion seems fine, but with the overlay something like may work slightly better. As for her TC there should be at least enough items to fill up the box you provided for her.

Oh great, now a couple more pets have been rejected. Alright now EVERYONE of my pets has been rejected from the spotlight, but I don't know why.

Okay...hear me out on this. Though each pet has a unique profile that fits their theme, I see that all the profiles have the same style. The thin vertical boxes are all in the exact same place. I think you might want to consider altering each profile to be fairly different in style, to break up the trend you have currently. It might make the pets look more individual than having the same layout but with different images or colours used.

That might be the ultimate kicker for why they're all being rejected.

I've seen people who've done the same thing with their pets win spotlight multiple times though?

I'll definitely do that as a last resort though. I just really hate coding. :P

I don't blame ya, I can't code to save my life! I'm not entirely sure why they'd all be rejected otherwise. Maybe those past winners are from before the Spotlight received the updated FAQ this past summer?

one suggestion a friend came up with for my pets before, was to have a repeating tiled background instead of just the plain colour (off to the sides), as I'm on a reasonably wide resolution, and there's a lot of plain blue background on Midge's profile (I've not looked at the others yet). If that makes no sense (my brain's still half asleep 😊), I mean like I did for Mrs Norris :)

And I'm not 100% certain on this, but maybe instead of crediting Google for the images, and crediting the actual website that had the image that you used for the main profile bg image, might be better (so you're actually crediting the site that has the image on, not merely the search engine where you found it)?

Obviously I can't guarantee that either would be the reason your pets are getting booted from the queue, but it might be worth trying that even just with one of the pets, and seeing if that helps :)

Maybe! I guess that is looking more and more like the right option...;~; Yeah, now that I think about it there is a lot of plain space that could be used for something like that, though I may just change the entire lookup in general. They are pretty plain afterall. D:
