I think I'm eating the most balanced breakfast... I've ever made. xD

Two pieces of celery with peanut butter, a granola bar with fruit in the middle, a stick of cheese, and a cup of coffee.

I'm going to try to make this a "healthy" day. Which I've probably NEVER accomplished, either. I vow right now that for the rest of the entire day, I will eat healthy. :| I WILL DO IT.

How do you stick to your goals regarding health and wellness?

edit: oh and did I mention (no I didn't) that I am SUPER EXCITED because a friend of mine is supposed to join Subeta today! :D Because I talk about it all the time and I think he finally just had to give in. CORRUPTS THE MASSES

if you're aiming to keep this up long term, it takes the mind 21 days of repetition to create a new habit. i used to write down what i was trying to accomplish on a calendar - eating healthier, making sure i had my 8 glasses of water a day, stop biting my nails, etc - and would look at it each day when i woke up to remind myself.

but now healthy food is all we ever have, so it's just.. what i eat lol

I EAT WHATEVER I WANT BECAUSE I EXERCISE.

Really, that's the only reason I can go to the gym. So I can eat 20 ounces of chocolate in a span of two days.

Dear sweet calories.

Whenever I have a healthy day, I end up eating a lot at dinner. I AM A MAN AND I NEED FOOD.

I am actually eating a small piece of chicken or fish for lunch and dinner for a week, and at least a small healthy snack every 2.5 hours...I just started an exercise regimen of three days a week.

I wish I was that disciplined. If I was eating healthy with someone it might be easier for me, but I enjoy grease far too much.

I do a lot of walking though, so at least I'm getting exercise.

Stay strong though! You can do it! :D

i tend to have a lot of little snacks and it adds up ;-; someone offers me a cookie and i just can't say no because i mean they offered it to me right?? that and feeling the need to eat while other people are eating. so i eat really slowly to finish last hahah exercise is a bit easier because it's something that i do instead of something that i have to not do.

But seriously though. I started eating healthy as soon as I became a vegetarian. As an omnivore, I had tons of choices and no guilty conscious to say "Bro, quit eating that shit! It's nasty and bad for you!" When I finally realized that, I decided to eliminate my intake of meat. Therefore giving me less choices when I go out to eat and making me more conscientious of what I eat.

YAY congrats, keep at it!

The thing that's helped me is my food tracker. I use Sparkpeople.com and I enter my daily intake and it's seriously worked tons for me. I eat SO much healthier now that I see a chart of what foods I eat, calorie counts, fat counts, etc. It really teaches you to weed out those unhealthy snacks that you never noticed before. I'm a chronic snacker so it amazed me how a handful of chips here and there and a cup of cashews or almonds really could add up to tons of unnecessary calories.

Now I know to stick to mostly fruits & veggies when I snack, or low-cal things like rice crackers that I can munch on (:

That and I work out at least like... 10 hours a week, no joke. I've found a love of running and I signed myself up for 2 fitness classes at my college, each high-intensity and an hour long. I'm more in shape than I ever have been and it feels good c:

Ahh guys I didn't do very well for the rest of that day. xDD BUT TODAY I AGAIN VOW TO DO BETTER.

Because I have a cold. And I know I have to eat good to get better fast. .___.;

Ohh and I had a doctor's appointment yesterday for some medications I'm on. My blood pressure has been high the past two visits so I have to get some blood work done in about a month and the doctor has to review it. She said we won't talk about blood pressure meds until then but ugh I'm only 20, seriously? So she said to try and lose 10 lbs in the next two months and that should help. So I really honestly have to start eating better.

I love junk food, but for the past couple years I've developed an intolerance for anything fatty or sugary. :( So now I'm forced to eat healthy food (unless I want to be barfing for the rest of the day). I've gotten a bit used to it. Soda wasn't too hard to give up and neither was fast food. But cookies, pastries, and icecream are just too much. :< I can't help myself. Every time I have them, I think I'm going to be perfectly fine but nooope. If only healthy food tasted better...

I try to eat healthy, but that went right out the fucking window this morning when I had to get up at 4:30 AM so I could leave the house by 20 after five to drive through a winter storm to get to work to cover for a girl that I really fucking hate. Well, the storm fizzled out. Three fucking inches and then light rain? That's not a storm, assholes, thanks for getting me up so fucking early. So this morning I decided fuck it and stopped and had breakfast at McDonald's since I was early anyways.
