Seriously. Now that we figured out how it worked (and that the missing items were fixed), I love how it worked.

In previous years, I had less ToTers because my username is 4 letters long (and was 8 letters long one year), so I had a lot of friends who had the same number of letters. So, I couldn't trick-or-treat them because, I gave out the same items.

This year? I'm pretty sure I have no friends or close to no friends with the exact same amount of pets as me (I have 35 pets) and I love that this is done this way. It allows me to go and trick-or-treat friends with four-letter usernames (AND THERE ARE A LOT OF THEM) without guilt or many duplicates.

I just wish 5-10 pets wasn't so common. I deleted a pet just so I didn't give out the same crap everyone else gives out...

eh I like the change, but the same kind of problem will still come up, where you know too many people in the same group. for example, it looks like everyone with 20 or more pets give the same items..?

I am liking it better too, considering usually there's always a lot of people with 6-7 letter usernames like me and these items used to flood the site really fast Dx

Now not only I have fewer pets than most of my friends, but I also have friends somewhat well distributed in all ranges. ^_^ Very happy I can ToT everyone!

Weirdly, a lot of my friends have a similar amount of pets to me (16 pets) so it hasn't really changed much for me :P It's too bad, I guess. Not a bad change for me, but not really a great one either.

A lot of my friends are at 15-16 pets too. Seems like a lot of people are in that range. :)

It's roughly the range of a few years of membership and using all Pet Totems ever given for free :P

But not everyone is into peeeeeeeets :P

I mean, hearing some people, pets are totally taking away the spotlight from avatars :P

Not being into characters never stopped my friend from having 22+ :P

lol I have 20 pets and I'm not into the whole pet/character thing at all. I am however, into achievements. XD

I dislike it because I HAS TO MAKE THE EFFORT TO COUNT PETS! And some buttheads don't show theirs in their profile =/

If you want to know how many pets a user has but they don't show the number of pets on their profile, you can always use this link:

Just replace the "MrCool" part of the link with whomever's username you want. It will take you to their battle stats, and it will show all of their pets, regardless of whether the pets have fought a battle or not.

Anyway, I do like how it is a system that makes sense. It also means less of a hassle to visit a variety of users just for extra items.

Now I feel so common with 17 pets =C I should like adopt 9 more pets to max out my pet limit!

I like it because it's much easier (and cheaper! XD) to kick a few pets to the curb in order to get different items than it is to change a UN! XD

Same problem occurs, just with different people. shrugs It just isn't that much different than last year for me, same old, same old except more work to find people who aren't on the lists than the old method meaning that the people who made the lists will get the most ToTs, especially when a lot of people don't bother to show their pet count on their profiles. It's nice that they attempted to mix it up, but it really doesn't make that much of a difference in my eyes. I mean I get that the point is to force us to fraternize with others on the site, but I would rather have everyone able to give all the items, but maybe a limit that says you can't ToT with the same person twice in a row or something... I dunno. I'd rather ToT at will, than try to find people that fit a specific criteria so that I can get all the items that I really want... or well, slack off and ToT the people on the lists who are already getting tons of visitors so I can get said items.

:P Yeah, not into pets, but I am a fan of achs, so I'm working towards 20 haha, just like Also I do train my smaller pets n_n;;

lol I've got a common name length and a common number of pets so I've pretty much still got no one toting on my profile/link. Oh well :)

Meh, I hate it. Most of the people seem to have higher numbers of pets, so if I want that blue tinged haunted crystal I have to stalk a rather select group of people. I prefer to spread my ToT-ing around a bit :( I tried to get that crystal yesterday, but I wasn't having any luck or fun, so now I'm going back to ToT-ing people without taking their pet number into account. (I'm too lazy to keep checking for it anyway) I'll just have to buy the damn thing aterwards I guess.

I reckon this new method is pretty interesting, I guess it mixes things up. :)
