Shading is same colour, higher sat, lower brightness. What subeta? I wasn't sure if my eyes were tricking me so I colour picked and... what?
That's like the thing you learn not to do when you're shading, and this is a good example of why, it's hard to look at, the shading is jarring and it looks cluttered, with an image this detailed, clutter is the last thing you want. Creases, anatomy, lineart, all lovely but that shading is such a let down. If it's all on separate layers still I hope that can be adjusted.
I AGREE WHOLEHEARTEDLY the mage honestly looks like the oldest thing on the entire site. His art needs a facelift.
Now with Nico, I kinda liked his old face better, but at least his art is consistent with the latest stuff now. And look, he even has legs :) Ahh he looks like such a frazzled dork ~ And look at the equipment!! Is the white and pink thing supposed to be a computer modem? I had no idea what it was in the old picture xD

As I'm looking at it more, the one issue I have is that the part of the headphones going behind his neck is almost the same color as his hair. It makes it look like he has curly pigtails. :P
Nico is like my 3rd favorite NPC ever and I'm so glad he got this. He really deserved it. And he deserved legs.

also I went through and picked new colours using similar ones as a base so not sure why it's looking so similar. angrytalic's npcs are all rather bright in terms of design so...gotta work with what you got
This is a nice revamp. It has a lot of character. :)
He seems more disheveled and scrawny now, like he's frazzled by massive tech issues.
