I know that posting only adds to your total in certain forums.

In which forums do posts NOT add to your total? (For example, I know the event forum is not adding posts.)

Perhaps this is something that could be added to the FAQs.

I've a friend who is looking to get rid of her "Newbie" title, so I'm trying to think of a place to just kind of chat with her a bit.

I think you can get posts in Chit Chat now. But, easiest thing to do is make a post there and see if your count goes up XD

Posts in the Welcome forum also count, so maybe your friend can post there as well?
