I'm at a staggering 200lbs right now. I'm watching a BBC documentary about losing weight but I figured out of curiosity I'd ask CC.
How much do you weigh, if you don't mind answering. And what diet worked for you?
Honestly, I've lost 27 lbs in 2 months from work, but they've limited the walking we do, since we can not zone anymore. I need to get in gear and watching TV commercials about "Success stories" is hardly encouraging considering they have millions to spend on Personal trainers.
So tell me your weight loss struggles, stories, and successes.

I weigh around 160lbs. I was this heavy my freshman year. BUT! Between sophomore and junior year I weighed around 140.
What worked: Exercise.
That's honestly the only thing I don't do now, and look. I gained all my weight back.
And I drank water. ALL the time. Every meal, every snack, every thiiiing.
Try replacing all your sodas/juices with water. 8D And add an hour of exercise to your daily routine. Doesn't work?
You then might need to make changes to your over all diet. :B
Edit: Aaand then I moved and depression caused me to sleep all day. |: Thus gaining all my weight back. -le sigh-
Im a little chubby for my age but i dont get teased about it.So!I eat right, dont drink soda.I havent in a bout 2 months and i exercise.I guess thats how im loosing weight.
I'm 5'5" and about 130 pounds, or so. But I'm really weight conscious so I eat less than I really should. X: Weight is a big paranoia of mine. Mostly I hate eating because it seems like as soon as you do after, your stomach is x10 bigger, and I hate that.
Gah. I'm in love with my Diet coke. IN LOVE WITH. I've cut back, but it's so hard. I get caffine headaches, like crazy.
And Exercise is something I pretend I don't have time for.

Well........You can jog in place while your watching tv.Thats how i lost about 6 pounds a week.
I'm 5'5" and 92lbs fffffffff Honestly, it's all just my metabolism working. I eat and exercise like a 500lb person :1 What I've learned from watching my mom who is trying to lose weight and reading about other people though: You HAVE to eat properly. You can do all the exercising you want, but if you eat like a pig you aren't going to do a thing. But you can't starve yourself, otherwise your body will just take ANY food you eat as fat and keep it. i know there was more, but i'm totally braindead right now. Goodluck with your weightloss ❤
Don't worry, you're not the only one. -guilty- My exercise was something I couldn't avoid. |:
Get a treadmill! 8D
I don't watch TV :P My one escape these days is the internet. I think I'm going to have to hang signs in my apartment telling me to work out. I am watching this horrible documentary that's telling me to eat less. :(
I think I'd be skinny if I didn't love cooking. I'm like a Greek/Italian mother, always feeding my friends and family.
Edit: I own an eliptical, I touched it twice in 5 months. LOL. I need to eat more protein so I don't feel hungry right away. Which is fine, I don't mind cooking chicken. I try to eat a whole bag of veg. once a week. It's hard to cook one meal for me with out massive portions though.

I weigh about 100 hundred pounds ,I'm one of those bitches with a high metabolism.
See, my "Ideal weight" According to several people/things is 120. So I'm thinking some of you are very under weight :(
I don't want to be stick thin, with my build its unrealistic. But I don't want to look down and feel sick.

It's kinda hard to give advice without knowing your eating habits :) Stay away from cheese and butter, if you can. Try to slowly cut down sugar so you adjust your taste. Steam food instead of frying. If you bake, use applesauce instead of whatever shortening you use (it works, I do that all the time - I have the "greek mother complex" too D:)
Eat smaller portions and more frequently. 5 small meals is much easier to digest than 3 big ones. Your (inner) stomach gets stretched out so right now you might feel hungry but after eating less for a week or two your stomach will start to shrink again and soon you will feel full.
Limit your snacking at the computer/tv, drink lots of water. If you drink a full glass of water before a meal you will get fuller faster. Having a low calorie soup before a meal will also help you not overeat. The trick is to not put that much food on your plate and not get up for seconds.
I used to be about 20 or 30 pounds heavier but then I quit a certain recreational activity and dropped it all in like.. a month. These are all healthy tips I have read or witnessed work.

As for the smaller portions, hard to do when if I work a 9 hour day I get an hour to eat lunch and 15 minutes for two breaks. If I want time to smoke I can't eat.
But I'm a huge snacker. I love junk food. I've cut TONS of it out, I miss doritos like I'd miss my child. My only bad food right now is diet coke. But I think the biggest proble is when I get home at 11pm I don't want to cook a full meal. I grab a ramen and call it a night.

I think Diet Coke is worse for you because it has more sodium? I forget what it is but something about diet coke is worse. You can still eat foods you love just waaaaay less of it.
Smoke and eat faster? Sorry I don't really have a solution for you there. Suck it up and be hungry? Don't skip breakfast, eat an apple or yogurt or something if you get the chance during a break, even just a nutrigrain bar or something.
Buy healthier dinners than ramen for the nights you are too tired or don't have time to cook.

i weigh about 165 right now, and this is after a pregnancy. Before i was pregnant i was around 140. [i so want that back]
so far the only thing i have been doing, is feeding my daughter lol. As weird as that may sound its true.
Every time a women makes milk for their baby they burn 700 calories, its a fast way to lose a lot of that left over baby fat. It works better if you made sure not too gain to much during the pregnancy.
Anways im starting work in like 2 weeks, and im going to ask for a position where i do a lot of walking, that way i can burn it off that way.
And i just got some fitness videos, and starting this summer me and the boyfriend[baby daddy lol] are going to start going to the gym together, because he got a little chunky while i was pregnant.
I want my old body back and im going to get it!!!
eat food. not too much. mostly vegetables.
and yeah ramed and diet coke is really bad msg and aspartame and all that :S
drink water eat veggies exercise
Ugh, I had the worst time gaining back weight lost during illness :( it stinks because I can't eat fatty foods or I feel sick.
Either way, as someone with normal metabolism and thin build, a tip would be to make your meals smaller. We usually eat more than we need, and won't feel any fuller because of it. Only eat until you're full, and try to take your time - the feeling of satisfaction doesn't happen immediately ;)
THEY CAN'T BREAK YOU IF YOU DON'T HAVE A SPINE
Around 74kg or something and diets don't work. I've never been on a diet in my entire life and I never will. If you are fat then cut down on the snacks and excercise more.
Oh yeah, I haven't eaten a single piece of fruit or vegetable in at least 10 years and I'm completely fine. Vegetables and all that crap are nasty and they're overrated.
