I know what you mean--I can't recall any real nightmares myself. I can remember them being freaky and disturbing, but I've never woken up thinking OMG THANK GOD IT WAS A DREAM. The only time I ever remember having to sleep in my parents' bed was when I couldn't sleep. I got so tired to the point where I'd start seeing shit on my walls or out the windows. Like I swear I saw this huge worm slinking down the street the one night.

I do, but not frequently. Most of them involve falling (down stairs, off a cliff, etc.), being pushed out in front of a semi or something similar, or something bad in regards to my relationship.

When I'm NOT having nightmares, my dreams are just really frickin' weird.

Uum...I've had some nightmares...when I was littler. And I woke up crying once becuase my goldfish died in a dream...but that doesn't count. But now I never get them. Ever

All of my "falling" dreams aren't nightmares to me... 'cause I know the actual landing part is my body just spazzing. I'm like "oh... right." and then fall back asleep.

I only once had a really bad dream but I didn't wake up screaming and everything. Just a bad dream. I never had a nightmare since that.. at least I don't remember.

i had some really bad nightmares when i was five and ten same scenario, same.. everything like, there'd be a thick line or a hyge square and it'd feel like my head was being squished, and if there was something really thin (and sometimes long), it'd feel like my head was being pulled at from both sides. it hurt so muuuch o___o

or those really weird nightmares where i'm not really sleeping yet and i'm aware that i can just open my eyes and it's over (but i keep telling myself it'll be over in a minute. keeps me up all night :| those are usually caused by stress from either work or school though.

i've just had a loooot of nightmares throughout my lifetime and the aforementioned are just very few of them. fdgdfgdifog

Noooo, I had loads of them as a child and now I've got a DREAM CATCHER! Dun dun duuunnnnn..

I can only remember this nightmare in which I am upstairs with or without (it varies) my mum and downstairs my father (and sometimes my mum too) is fighting with some.. psycho guy or something. After I hear some noises I hide in my parents' bed and I wake up again.

i always have recurring dreams that im driving and my breaks dont work (and im driving like a retard). and ones where im losing my teeth. like i dont actually lose them, but they get ridiculously loose like theyre about to come out. those have been two of my serious fears since i was little, so i guess it makes sense that i still have those dreams.

but oh man, the last nightmare i had was a week ago. that was probably the worst nightmare ive ever had. there were two parts. in one i was with a friend, and we were stealing a bunch of stuff at night from a sorority (i watched greek before i went to bed lol). we were trying not to get caught, but people saw us and we were running and hiding. and like randomly i would look down, and id look back up, and everyone around us would be dead D: i think it happened about three times throughout that dream. also, im pretty sure swords and general ninja-ness was involved in this dream.

then i was in some wasteland with my aunts family (her, her husband, and their young kids). and there was this little chihuahua that was emaciated and really fucked up. like half of his skin was missing, the bone of the front of his muzzle was exposed. and his head was cracked open, like literally open so that you could see i big chunk of his brain. and it looked like an ood brain from doctor who and like, there was junk in his skull by his brain, like a cigarette butt (i took it out of his head) and gum wrappers. and like, my little cousins kept poking the poor dog and pushing their fingers through his skin. and i kept telling them not to but they wouldnt listen. it made me feel so horrible.

i was so happy when i woke up and it was all over :c

My most vivid nightmare was a recurring one that I used to have when I was little. I dreamt that a man with buttons for eyes used to hide underneath a certain drainpipe next to a shop in my area, and whenever I went over it he would drag me through the drainpipe and lock me underground with the rats. o_o

Still to this day, I am wary of walking over that drainpipe when I see it. xD When I was younger I used to avoid it at all costs.

I also remember when I had a night terror when I was 6 or 7 years old. I remember looking at my mum and only seeing her in cyclops form and my dad had turned into a goat.

I had one the other night. It wasn't exactly a nightmare but it was strangely disturbing and I woke up sweaty. The floor of the Earth had melted and we were all burning or something like that idk. It was one of those things that you have to see for yourself to find them creepy.

I also get dreams where I'm asleep for about 2 minutes and then my body just has a weird spasm and I wake up. The rest of my dreams are just weird.

I've probably had some, can't remember any really scary ones though.. I hate it when i have the 'falling' dream though. And ones where something happens that seems real and when i wake up i'm like D: for a few minutes thinking it has actually happened.

Nothing really scary most of the time, but I have had some interesting dreams you could consider nightmares. Kind of like the crocodile that every night got bigger until it was the size of a house... It then ate half the house. It's now my imaginary pet. It helps me get over how surprising/scary the dream was. It now lives under my bed somehow, but nevermind that.

Also about falling dreams I don't consider them nightmares. Maybe it is how I feel the air whooshing around me in the drem as I fall or something as I'm often jumping from a plane or off a really high cliff. Most of the time I want to do it. I once was riding a trash can lid down mount everest and in the end I fell pretty far only to wake up seconds before being eaten by a giant toad... Yeah my dreams are pretty weird.

I have disturbing dreams, but I don't consider them nightmares since I enjoy them...however, me only ''nightmare'' recently has been about failing a class and having to stay in college an extra semester. I know, I'm a nerdXD

i had nightmares all thru my childhood...being chased by monsters or people trying to harm me were common themes, tho my most frequent nightmare just involved colours...i would be suspended in blackness...just hanging there with no visible means of support...and off in the distance i'd see a tiny spec of light...as i concentrated on it, it would suddenly shoot towards me, getting bigger and bigger the closer it got, until all i could see all around me was that particular colour...then suddenly it would all go black again and start over...

i've not had many nightmares in my adult life so far, but one i recall caused me to sit up for the rest of the night with all the lights on as it frightened me so much...it involved me being trapped in a very small 4 room house with a black cat which had light streaming out of its empty eye sockets where there should have been eyes...!!

it's more common now tho for me to have waking dreams...ie when you start dreaming before you're fully asleep...those are always paranormal in nature and usually happen when you're overly tired or stressed...having my hair pulled forcibly, hearing footsteps creeping up behind me, hearing menacing disembodied voices, seeing electrical items switch themselves off and on...these waking dreams used to frighten me (i almost convinced myself my house was haunted :P) until i realised what they were, and now when i get them they don't bother me anymore...

I have nightmares all the time! They have a pretty wide range of subjects, too, from giant toilets eating me to falling off a cliff to seeing creepy shadowy things (less scary PC games for me, I think!)

When I'm not scaring myself I'm freaking myself out with rather strange dreams often in the style of a Dr Who episode. I watch that wayyy too much!

I had one last night.. uh sorta. It was more weird then scary. I was being chased by a serial killer who then randomly obtained a chain saw and was chain sawing off my right arm o.o and I could feel it but I knew it was a dream so I was like, OMGWAKEUP! But I couldn't so I started pulling at my eyes (I'm not sure if I dreamt that or if I really did do it..) but they wouldn't open..

Remember April 20th, 2011 when we thought the world might end, when the PSN was down? These guys do. Reminisce those horrible days, the catastrophic events! The homeless men! ...And, is that water orange?

I don't have nightmares. Sometimes they start out that way, but they never last long. I can tell when I am dreaming, so when it's not pleasant I just make a different decision and change the course of the dream.
