it's especially annoying when i ask him to watch a movie with me and he falls asleep during it.

My dad does the exact same thing.

One minute, we're watching The Simpsons, the next I hear loud snoring sounds that, quite frankly, I'm more than usually scared of. If I discretely change the channel, he bolts up and yells at me to change it back. Then he goes right back to snoring.

Why do dads tend to do that? o_0

My dad does it too xD I have no idea how he knows I've changed the channel, but he always does. And when I say 'Well, you were asleep, you weren't watching it' he always denies it and says he was awake the whole time when he was actually snoring!

No... My dad just turns it on and stares at it for like 7 hours. You touch the remote AND DIE.

Lol, nah, my dad doesn't do that exactly...but he'll have F1 racing on while he at the computer (Where you can't see the TV) and he won't let me change channel. And there is virtually NOTHING of interest to hear...just "VRRROOOOOOOOM VROOOooom vroooom". And the occasional "Raikkonen overtakes Massa" or some shit like that once every half an hour.

It is agony to watch D: I don't know how he enjoys it. There's hardly any decent crashes too lol

not really, my dad's the late night movie watcher haha. He does not go anywhere near the television before 11pm and then he watches every crappy film there is (esp. bad gangster comedies) and if you -ever- want to watch something else around that time, well, you don't :P

one time he fell asleep and sex and the city came on, and he wakes up JUST as my finger grazes the remote and says "DONT I WAS WATCHING THAT!!!"

i was like .. :| its SEX AND THE CITY and he just mumbled and went back to sleep.

I do that :x I don't know what it is, but when the channel changes or the movie is turned off, I wake up. And insist that we go back to watching what we were. Then I probably fall asleep again.

Lol xD my dad does it sometimes. When I was younger I always switched it back, but nowadays I just tell him that he wasn't watching xD and that I now have the remote control. Usually he just shrugs and does other things.

I think that if he really wanted to watch it :P he would have - so it's fine for me to watch something I want to watch.

My dad doesn't do that. He just falls asleep in the middle of watching TV or a movie with my mom and I and he snores really loud. Lol. Then, if I'm real lucky, my mom falls asleep too and also snores. XD

My mom, however, is like that.

There will be some shitty show on the TV that she doesn't even like, and she'll be asleep. Then I'll change the channel, and it's like some sensor in her head goes off. She pops awake and goes: I was watching that!

I never really watch TV, so I don't change the channel, thus, he doesn't get mad. :I He only falls asleep during the day when he's sick, so he certainly wouldn't fall aslepp while watching something.
