I'm gonna be honest. I want to start over. My account logs a couple years here - I've spent about a week's worth of effort and those '2 years' make me sound like something I'm definately not.

On the vanity side, I want a new name.

Two accounts isn't allowed, I get that.

But are we allowed to completely 100% forever abandon an account and create a new one?

I don't believe you can unless you leave for so long that your account name is deleted and you come back.

However, there's an alternative. For changing a username, you can use an Identity Star Shuriken which can be bought from the Cash Shop or from user shops.

Well, that doesn't really fix the 2 year thing - but with the price of that item, I'll probably have to put in some real work to get it done, thereby making the need for it obsolete.

I don't see how the 2 years is a bad thing. If anything, it will be a plus-point to you if you wish to do something like apply to adopt a pet.

I believe it is against the rules to make a new account while the one you're using now is active, it would effectively be having 2 accounts at the same time.

I'm sure nobody would question why you haven't amassed a great amount of wealth, posts, collections, etc. if that is what you are worried about ;)

From what I understand, you're only allowed to have one account. But you're asking if you can start over & abandon the one you have and since you don't like your name, I don't see any reason why it would be wrong to disable the existing acct & then start a completely new account with a different user name. You said you wanted a fresh start, with an account that reflects what you are now, right.

However, it MIGHT be against the rules to do what I just suggested. I've only been playing 5 months. I've read the rules, but I don't remember. I agree with rieX, I would ask a mod.

You cannot, under any circumstances, create a new account while your former account is still in existence. Even if you promise not to login to the first one ever again, or self freeze, etc etc.

The only condition in which it would work, is that you would need to leave your Kikyuu account for a year, and not look at or touch Subeta in that time. Once a year was up, that account would be purged, and you would be free to start a new one.

But honestly, having an older account age has a bit of prestige around these here parts, anyway, regardless of your accomplishments in that time.

I think you should definitely keep your account. I doubt you would take a year-long break from Subeta anyway, considering you just got back into it. If you're worried about how having a 2 year account makes you appear, you shouldn't be. You can earn a fair amount of SP and get a good account on here pretty quickly, so it won't matter anyway. Plenty of people are inactive for quite a bit of time- I didn't go on consistently until I had this account for about 6-12 months. The way I see it, it's a good thing to have an older account.

You can just hide the little profile block that says your account age anyways.

if you're willing to invest time in a new account, why not just work with the one you have? i'm not sure why X account needs to show Y advances... but i guess that is something important to you? i think you'd feel better overcoming the obstacles?
