So yesterday, I was going to the bathroom. While pulling up my pants, my ipod slipped from my pocket and fell into the toilet. It works...some what. It can turn on, but the buttons to turn on the music, select songs, etc won’t work. I feel like a complete idiot.
So, CC, tell me about your technological mishaps like this and make me feel better?

I dropped my two day old cell phone in the toilet =D
Battery and SIM card still work...phone's completely shot.
Also dropped a $100 slider phone in a sink. Wasn't much water in it...but the water killed the power/end call button =(
Ouch, that totally sucks. But hey, you made me feel better. At least I know I'm not the only one that drops shit into the toilet xD

Lol, I'm pretty sure most of us have dropped something into the toilet at one point of our lives XD
I'm glad I could make you feel better =)
Awww, that stinks XD My boyfriend dropped his cellphone in the toilet.... He dried it, soaked it in alcohol and what-not. It works for about five minutes and then it dies :P
I dropped jelly on my DS's touch screen. It still works, though. :D
i dropped my ipod in snow though it still works but it hates me and now my cleaning lady stole itX.x

Dude, everyone drops shit into the toilet.
No, but seriously, I did that to my iPod, too. It was completely dead, but I have a Zune now, and I'm happier. :D
I dropped my phone from a high place. It still worked. The only thing I've dropped in the toilet would be toothbrushes. xD
D: I did the same thing, except my iPod died. It was really old anyways, so s'okay.
I can also think of various times where my iPod headphones and iPod have ripped out of my ears when they suddenly latch on to a nearby doorknob.
I left my old phone on the top of my friend's car. We drove off and... bye bye phone ):
I didn't even notice until we got back to my place.
i hope you flushed first!!
um one time i had a really old phone i hated and wanted a new one so my friend and i took turns "dropping" it from the balcony of my school :>
omfg i remember another time when my friend was having trouble with her computer and i jokingly said "did you try deleting system 32" she said NO WHATS THAT?? and i laughed and said nothing. she must have mistaken me for being secretive about an actual solution because and went and did it.
I did this EXACT thing to my cell phone in eighth grade. We were at Six Flags for a school field trip, and my cell phone accidentally slipped out of my pocket into the toilet. RIP my Sony Ericsson-I never could get it to turn on again. And I'm much more careful with my phone and iPod now. XD
I never dropped anything in the toilet... thankfully xD
But when I was little, I had this computer game that when you got to a certain point in the game the picture would turn upside down. So me, thinking I was so smart, took the whole monitor and turned it upside down so I could see the picture more easily. Smoke came out of the monitor D;
Someone tell me this tops.
My iPod got filled with banana.
I had it in my backpack in the same pocket as a banana. I was gonna eat the banana with lunch, but I forgot. I'm the kind of person who doesn't take off their backpack when taking a seat on the bus, but I didn't think I was leaning on my backpack enough to do anything bad. So when I got home, not only was that pocket of my backpack splattered with banana mush, the iPod was FULL of it. You could see it spooging out from behind the screen and shit. Poor iPod. We opened it up, and the circuitry was COVERED with banana. DX Right now I have a little p.o.s. Samsung player, but I need a new iPod D:
dropped a cell into the toilet. i never kept it in my backpocket ever again.
it still worked fine afterwards, though. (after leaving it to dry for a day)
i dropped my old gameboy out my bedroom window (on the second floor) along with a couple of figurines. i was setting them up on the open window to take a photo of them, and....gravity acted like the bitch it is :P
I spilled grape juice ALL OVER my phone. And I had just gotten it. :( It turned off, then on, then the whole screen turned BRIGHT green.
My dad and I attacked it with a hairdryer and left it to dry in my closet overnight. It worked fine the next day. :) It won't turn off though. I turn it off, and in like 10 seconds it comes right back on.
Also, I dropped my Nintendo DS Lite several times. A little while ago, I dropped it TWICE(on a wood floor) within a 5 minute time period. A hinge thingy broke off, and now I have to hold the top screen open. If I don't it slams shut. :( There are also 2 marks on the top screen of it. I had just gotten it (this was 2 and a half years ago)and was playing New Super Mario Brothers. I got so frustrated I bit the screen. Later I did it AGAIN.
AND when I was like..... three, I noticed my Gameboy Advance's screen was dirty. So I turned on the kitchen faucet and put the GBA under it. X.X Amazingly, nothing happened. Those things are TOUGH. I still have it today. XD
My very first cellphone got run over by my bus, because it fell out of my backpack and -crunch-.
Once I got it replaced, I dropped it in the toilet. Twice.
Needless to say my phone stays on nice, solid surfaces that are DRY and nowhere near water or buses now XD
I've been too careful with my iPod though XD
