I bought some cake mix yesterday, to bake a nice cake for a Joey scout meeting (scouts aged 6-8) I am the leader.
Anyway, I just opened the packets, and one of them had MOUSE CRAP in it, seriously, how discusting is that, the packet didn't have any holes in it, nor was is tampered with, so I am taking it back to the supermarket and demanding replacements.
I hope to goodness they replace it, or I am out money on this, and our scout group cant really afford it /end rant/
SO cc, ever found something gross like this?
EW MOUSE CRAP. That's disgusting. shudders Thankfully, I've never found anything like that. I would most likely freak out if that ever happened.
Lol, I am not really worried about compensation, I just want to make the damn cake lol. I was going to make it yesterday, but we ran out of eggs, we did the weekly shop today.
A SNAIL, that is yuck too.
OK.. that's just gross.. -shudder- (that's why we always use those 'add-water-only'-packages at my scouting.. LOL, those are mostly quite okay..)
Dont have enough flour, was trying to do it cheaper, as in 79 c for a pack of cake mix verses buying flour, baking powder ect.
Its like the add water only packet, you just use like 1 egg to make it uh.... better?
I understand your point. But I am a cake purist. Packet cakes have no soul.
Go back & get a refund. But if they don't give you one, 79c isn't that much to pay to just buy another one?
If the package had no holes, and the mouse poo was inside the packet - it isn't the shops fault. It's the factory's fault. The one that made it.
If it were me, I would tell the shop, but not demand a refund. Tell them so they can take the rest of it off the shelf. Would you want another one from the same shipment anyway? Tell them, then ring up the company and deal with them direct.
Urgh, how the hell did mouse crap get in there? I'd go back and demand a refund. >(
I know it is the factories fault, but it is supermarket's own brand, so they need to replace it. It is the same company if that makes sense. I would adore to make the cake properly, but rego was due this week, so weekly shop was the end of the money.
I have no idea, but it would have been factory FlameArceus
Well i heard on the news that when this family was eating Maui style onion chips they found what seemed like a fried rat chip....thing.It looked disgusting, you could see the tail sticking out of a rat brown ,fat chip.:O [edit] Stupid typo.:/
Oh that is truely discusting, I would have been sick if I had of found a rat in my chips. Gives me cold shivers thinking of it
That sounds more painful than gross, but glad you got your compensation.
An earring is fair gross too, I am not a fan of ears in general, so that would gross me out
Mhm.I feel bad for the family.I havent eaten maui chips since....well at least i look first.XD Those chips are just to damn yummy.
I had never heard of them before, but I sure won't be eating them now :D
W-ell... My mum once found parts of a cockroach inside a jolly rancher.... Aaand, I'm not sure if this counts, but a couple years ago (2006), we (my cousin, mum, me, and grandma) were in the cinema, eating popcorn. A tall box of it, and there was mainly just the crumbled parts left at the bottom. My mum offered it to me (which I, in turn would have downed), but I declined, so they attempted to it eat it- And found a screw. An iron screw. :/
Ah, ew, gross. D': I've only ever found a bit or wire in my pizza once. It stabbed me in the mouth, owie. I never went and demanded a refund, though, I just never buy pizza from LIDL now. :']
Eww. My grandma found something disgusting on a raw chicken. It was this massive purple lump on its breast. She had to throw the whole chicken away. And then she found this horrible thing in a box of cereal. She had no idea what it was. She took it back to the supermarket and it turned out to be a melted scouring pad. Yes. In a box of cereal. No idea how it got there.
Bleck, that's disgusting. :(
I can think of various times that I've bought melted chocolate, overdue ice cream, and sour milk, but nothing like that.
omg gross D:
I don't think I've bought anything like that... I mean the worst I've found is raspberry worms in the raspberries & wild strawberries I pick in our own garden :P
Oh and hairs in food like at restaurants D: surely all cooking personnel must wear hair nets or something? Uggh.
THEY CAN'T BREAK YOU IF YOU DON'T HAVE A SPINE
