Are you only allowed to dig once per day? I got a gem this morning when I woke up, still cant dig :(

You can dig every 2 hours or something like that. What you're experiencing might be a glitch, if you haven't been able to dig since this morning. Send in a ticket?

That's true, it seems to be completely random now after it has been once per hour in the past. Now the caves can be open after one or two hours but there are also times when you have to wait much longer. C:

Well that explains a lot, the girl SAID I could come back in 45 minutes...but then an hour and a half later I'm still getting booted out. Bah, I just want to get the gems and go to bed .

Afaik, pumpkin patch collecting has one of the only random timers. Coda Caves always let me dig after 6 hours (not random), but that might just be my luck (-.-), my suggestion would be to leave an alert, to be sure.
