A couple of people have asked for clarification on what Subeta Style is (or how to make your items fit in better) so I made this quick little video to kind of explain the process. It came out kind of fuzzy, so I'm going to post the progress images here (and you're probably going to need to turn the speakers WAY up because of my tiny baby voice) but hopefully this will help somewhat?
Here's the fullsize of the wig I worked on in the video, in various stages of completion (this will be resized in the forums, so open it in a new window to see it in full):
And here's the resized versions of the wig and item:
Like I said in the video, if you've got questions, I'll be glad to answer them. Or if you want me to make another poor quality video of me drawing something while trying not to breathe like a creep into the mic, that's cool too.
This is going to be super useful to everyone :D Especially to people who haven't done items like this before, great stuff!
Thanks for the tutorial! Now can I have your wig please? xD

Thank you so much for this! It will really help!
This needs to be stickied! Very helpful.
...and yeah now everyone needs that wig ;D.
Eeeeep, that wig is so pretty. Echoing that I wish I could order it, lol. It's neat to the see the progression too. ^_^

Yes, this needs to be stickied! I was about to suggest something like this be made after seeing several people get rejected due to lineart/shading etc changes that need to be made. c: Awesome job and gorgeous wig! I adore your art. ❤️
I can't watch the video right now, since I've got a bijillion vids playing right now, but I just want to say my thanks before it gets too late for me. So, thank you. c:
Oh my god! This is so neat. I might give it a shot, making a few items. I'm looking into doing a few X-men/Marvel inspired items, and don't exactly feel like comissioning them.
Such as: Wolverine's Claws, Gambit's Cards, Rogue's Hair. Might look a little choppy at first. xD
But , that's so cool!

This is so amazing - you're a lifesaver. Thank you so much for the video - I'm really glad there's a resource which explains and illustrates the process very well! C:
man I haven't seen anyone use bezier in forever! I wondered how you got your lines so nice. D : Maybe I should try that out for fun one of these days. Just wondering, do you use a mouse or a tablet? If the former then I'm even more jealous of your skills.
Thanks so much for this, it really helps.

This is incredibly helpful! And I love your video.
Thanks for this, . :D
This is awesome to watch even for non artists like me o_o
and I so love that wig ;-; do wantt
I wish I had this a couple hours ago. XD I usually use pen tool for everything so I'm having so much trouble with my tablet drawing CWs. Haha. Definitely switching back to pen now (I don't know why I didn't TBH). Thank you so much for this, I've always wondered about your process! :D
This is great. I just kind of wish it was clothing instead of hair. For some reason I think I can do the wigs close enough but coloring clothing subeta-style just continues to baffle me.
