I'm not to fond of it, the old one added a more creative touch to Subeta. It looks more like Neopets now and I'd rather see the news right when I come on rather than having to go to the news section.

I could try and get used to it though.

Being a design student at one point in time, this is a really poor layout in terms of organization. Just because it looks nice doesn't mean it's functional.

-refreshes- Sometimes the HAs are naked though. :/ And that one part about the people joined today or whatever goes a bit out of the box it's supposed to fit into.

But other than that I like it. =D

Yes... I love the random HAs. xD Though I admit I don't like the fact that naked ones pop up occasionally, I absolutely love the fact that those are peoples' HAs. And there's like a bajillion of them. refreshes XD

I like it. I think it was probably a good idea to put a Common AND Nightmare pet on there so people can see how different their pets can be.

I like the old one better, as people have said, the white backgrounds of the images look a little icky on the blue boxes. Also some of the text goes over the frames.

I guess if they fix those things it's okay.

Personally, the pet that was on the front page isn't what made me join at all. I don't like the feli/common kumos, and probably never will. I actually had to go to the pet page to see what the pets were like, and that's what impressed me. The pet that actually made me join, though, was the bovyne. Kind of odd, since I could never keep one as a pet.

I agree with a lot of people that the pet on the front page should be something other than a Kanis. The pet that is displayed can certainly impact whether a person wants to join... seeing the Glacier Kumos on deviantART actually made me want to join Subeta, afterall! If I saw that Kanis, though, I don't think I'd join.

Right now, with the pets displayed, Subeta looks like a strange mix of kid-friendly and psychotic. I'd have to suggest changing to the Kumos - that's the pet I think of when I think of Subeta. Demi, Montre, and Celinox are lovely pets that are unique to Subeta, too. Why the Kanis?

Eh, it's nice, but it seems to not want to fit on the page and keeps appearing under the sidebar. Honestly, the old one was fine. It was a lot nicer, this one is a bit hard to read really. But it IS nice I'll give you that, and if it showed up only for those who aren't already signed up with Subeta, it would be a good way for them to get to know the site.

Jesus, it scared the crap out of me. For a second, I thought I clicked the wrong bookmark.

I sort of like it, sort of don't. I like the change and it looks cool, but I sort of got used to the old one. :/

There should be an option for if you want the old homepage, or the new one. xD

I love it! =) Simple. Basic. To the point. Easy to navigate. As with all things, there are probably things you could tweak on it, however nothing in this world is ever perfect.
The only thing that stands out to my eye is the line that lists the number of registered users. It exceeds it's given dimensions since the "### joined users today" wraps over the outline of its div.
Other than that, looks great! Good job! A long needed update. With my resolution settings, none of the pictures overlap as other users have mentioned.
All-in-all... WONDERFUL!

I agree with previous comments, it reminds me of neo as well and it looks real cluttered. Basically, it has all the elements of a bad div layout. The text looks superimposed on the boxes and it's aligned awkwardly, and some of the words don't even fit inside the boxes. The white backgrounds of the items look tacky on the blue boxes, and 3/5 times I refresh there's a nakie HA. I hate to be so negative but like... gah... it just isn't very aesthetically pleasing.
