Hmm... I just noticed this. For the Cash Shop items, it says Mysterious Floral Handbag, but it's not in there...?

I wish it were, but still. XD I don't know if it's supposed to be like that or not.

And also the Users/Pets/Users joined isn't aligned with it's box. :/

While I rushing through my previous comment, and I reread through it, I wanted to correct myself.
When I said "..been better to have a darker blue, and not a complete different color." I meant a darker green. A darker blue would've been even worse.

And then I spelt 'attract' as 'attact'.

What really bugs me about this (besides the fact that it was designed to be less cluttered, and somehow became full of the exact repeat of the navigation) is just the overall poor graphics quality.
The diagnol stripes should have been toned down. When text is placed on top of them, it creates this really unattractive pixely effect, that leads me to believe the creater wasn't very experienced in graphics, let alone design.
And then, I see this blue Kanis, whose foot is randomly sticking out of the banner. I understand trying to incorporate the images into the banner more than just being there, but this was done quite poorly, as it's the back leg that's sticking out, rather than the front. Just looks awkward.
And, why was there an older piece of work for the site chosen for this? It's not exactly as breathtaking as many of the newer pet releases and revamps, and it's not going to attact users to the site with fantastic art. I can't even see why the Kanis was chosen for this, as the Kumos has always been the face of Subeta.

The first time I saw this, it screamed "Neopets," with the "latest news" and "new items" and "cash shop items".
It reminded me of their obnoxious flash banner with the recent news, and then how they didn't just display new items, but new REGULAR items, and items purchased by USD (of some form).

And, then, I hovered over the 'forum,' 'shops,' and 'games,' links, and I was just in complete awe that it was done with such contrast in colors. It would've been better to have a darker blue, and not a complete different color.

The 'human avatar' section would most likely be more attractive if you didn't refresh to see some downright ugly, uncreative, avatars at times. But that, when compared with the rest of this (rather long) rant, isn't that big a deal, and I can easily overlook it.

But, the thing I hate most about this, and the first thing I noticed when I came to the site this morning was the NM Kanis filtered to become an obnoxious green hue placed in a rectangular box behind the common one.
It felt so random, and so poorly aligned that I didn't even notice the horrible color filtering.
And then the dark green in the NM Kanis wasn't even used on the rest of the layout, just the obnoxiously bright green on it's aura. I was totally in shock that someone thought it would be a good idea to do that. Color variation is always a good thing, but not when done so blatantly and randomly.

So, basically, my problem with this is how there is absolutely nothing subtle about it.

I like it. :3 I think it does look neater than the old one, and more appealing to newcomers. (Kumos on the front would be better, though)

There are areas for improvement of course, but you gotta admit this is cool. x3

I think I'm liking it. I would prefer to see more news items directly on the home page and would like to see the kumos instead of the Kanis as it makes the site look like it's for the Neopets crowd. Other than that, it's very nice and crisp looking.

The layout is nifty, lots of good options available and yet still fairly simple. Though I wish it was a kumos on the front. X3 (me and my crazed Kumos love)

I really like it! If you were someone who was new to the site it would look pretty appealing. Which is one of the main purposes of the main page anyways.

Awww the old one was so sweet and subeta-ish. The new one looks too much like neopets in my opinion... I miss the ole one ;-;

Much nicer, but maybe if the ha on the front weren't so cluttered looking, they could see how cool they can look. May I suggest using an entire clothing set?

Mine is the same as BoaConstrictor's. . .it shows up halfway down because of its size. However, my computer's been doing that with a bunch of Subeta pages. . .the journals and cults especially. I do like the new bookmark buttons though.

I think it looks great! My bookmark goes to the games page, not the front page, so really the only time I go to the home page is when I'm searching for trivia stuff, when I look at all pages. But I tried to think like someone who'd never been on the site before, and by that perspective it seems welcoming and well organized.

What was wrong with the old one!?
Anyway, when I came on, I though: Oh, no, Subeta is kind of down again, because I only had a blank page apart from the left main menu bar (we'd had that before occasionally). Then I found out, that there was a lot much further down out of site of my large monitor. Not good, since I often missed the important news anyway, but now being out of sight...
Also happens with the Blackheart Hollow, if something stocks - I missed a lot, before I realized, that if I see nothing, something is there.

I like it, although with the layout I have, it doesn't mix very well (using the Reborn layout).
Remember when you had random pets appear on the front page (Feli, Montre)? I miss that a lot, the Kanis makes the site more happy-cutesy-feely, and not directed at 13+s.
The HA on the forum button looks shy and not very talkative. I doubt the HA should represent the forums.

What I DO like is the random HA that's generated(?) on the site. It shows the variety and possibilities of dressing up your HA.
Also, it's easier to navigate around the front page. I like how it looks LESS like the news page and more like a home page. :3

When I saw it, the first thing I thought was "OMFG Neopets!"
It kinda reminds me of it... "New Items" and "Cash Shop" (In neo the cash shop being the NC Mall)
But it is good once you get over the shock. Maybe make it so the pet on the top changes, like before?

I don't really like it.. I don't know, I'll adjust I guess. I do feel, however, that if I were a newbie, it would be a little confusing.. but maybe that's just me. -shrug- Guess I prefer something a little simpler looking.

It's like it getting a face lift at the age of 90; yeah the face looks amazing, but it doesn't flow well with the rest of the body. I think its beautiful and was super excited until I realized its the only thing thats changed.

It's nice, but different.
What i don't like about it is that there is only one news post...but I'll cope.
But my computer is messed up. It's loading the stuff at the bottom, which is annoying.

It is definately less cluttered but I agree with Flyleaf, it feels out of place with the rest of the site x[ Still though, I prefer it over how it was before anyway.

I think it looks too much like the Neopets one.

The old one was simple and appealing.

But eh.

It still functions.

Which is all that matters, I guess.
