Adding: The fluff on the top of the head is a bit much. That might be what is contributing to the anime feel I'm getting from this.

Well, it bugs me for some reason.
The old/current is so.. sinister looking. This one just looks mischievous. I would be upset if this was what the lasirus looked like. I know that is rude of me to say, but I'd have to change my lasirus to a different species.
I beg you, please change the expression back to a sneer or a scowl.

It looks anime-style to me for some reason! I'm afraid I'm going to have to agree with some others in that the face is far too thin. Even compared to a recent redraw, galactic, the face is much thinner and more humanoid. It throws me off. Actually, the whole thing is rather thin, isn't it?

The first thing that hits me is the poor image quality though. I've noticed this on a few of the images done by this artist. Perhaps a saving/compression tutorial is in order? The image is heavily dithered in places to me. I would point it out, but it'd be better to just comb over the entire thing to be sure.

I'm also not sure I understand why the "scales" on the tail have gotten so much larger or angled. That doesn't seem consistent with the original nor the galactic.

Lastly, I think I prefer the dry fluffy appeal to the original's tail and chest fur. I think this is a good start, but nowhere near release quality, in my opinion.

The back ear is set too high and too forward on the head. This makes it look like a random brown cone stuck to the top of its head

This one is cute, but to me, the old one just seems more ...fitting somehow. Maybe something between the two?

it's not the size it's the style. they don't match up somehow. i'm just fine with the size, i just dont' like how crammed in the back one looks because of the angle it's at, not the size

I don't see the wings as being too small, it's membrane it would stretch in flight.

I like the pulled-back ears myself. I don't think they'd look very good with them brought forward. There's a lot less space near the head for them to go if they were pushed forward with the new body plan.

I don't know what happened to make you guys get it right but whatever it is (caffeine, chocolate, cocaine?...) keep it up!

The only complaint I have is that the coloring looks a little gritty on the wings, feet and tail. Nothing a little tough up can't fix.

All in all it's PERFECT.

Raeven_DarkWings: The Lasirus always had big, awkward ears. If you want freakin' unnatural, check out the previous version. IT looks like its ears got glued to the back of its head. (Not to mention it's head -alone- would keep it from getting air born.)

I like the stripes, they look very bright. and the ears are cocked, socute.
Although... if the old lasirus's wings looked small, thes ones seem even smaller? maybe because the lasirus itself is drawn bigger, but if there is any way to draw the wings more proportionate to the body, that would be nice.

Okay, despite the fact that the arms STILL look like they could never support such a creature (the shoulders just don't look connected properly, and he looks downright fat 8D) I'm very pleased there's a Lasirus update. Though, the far ear looks like it's broken - may just be the angle, but it looks like it's sticking out too far. This is only me picking out minor details xD But yeah. I'm pretty excited about the revamp ~ been waiting for one for a loong time :3 cuddles Fliff

Yay! I got the Galactic Lasirus as soon as it came out, because I love bats but the Lasirus scared me... The Galactic one was the first one that was both fierce and adorable, and this is following in the same direction. Good job.
Also, just a sidenote.. though I love this one a lot, I'm more a fan of the chubby-ness of the Galactic one.. hehe.

just one issue. the back ear looks like it's being pushed down by something, like an invisible box. .. in fact, the ears in general seem to sort of not fit? i don't know how to explain it, but they seem almost like a different style, like one artist did everything but the ears and someone came in and added them.

i think i'd have to agree i like the forward facing ears better, i guess. i'm not sure, all i know is that back one is off.

but absolutely adore the new look. the tail is love, the wings are perfect, everythings nicely proportioned: a very well done redraw

I haven't been this impressed with a revamp for a long while, and its the first one I can't see any problems with either. Heaps of love to the artist, whoever you are. Looks /kinda/ like FMD's work with the body but I dunno.

One of my pets will be most certainly morphed into this. I just hope this doesn't sit around pending for months and months like a lot of pets tend to do X_X

Dang, I'd get one.
Just a personal suggestion, though? I liked the forward-facing ears on the old design a lot. These ears look a bit like they're being blown back? Pretty far to be natural, anyway. It's not a huge quirk, but if it could be fixed, all the better!

As much as I love the corrected anatomy, I still pretty much prefer the older one to the newer one, as it looked more...fierce. I really like the new colouring on this one, though. Good job!
