The Serpenths, seeing the Aeries fussing over each other in the treetops around Subeta, grew jealous--just slightly jealous, they claim.
Without a word, they all slithered off into the night (much to the joy of the smaller species, who would finally have a bit of rest without fear of being eaten), leaving many owners confused as to the whereabouts of their beloved pets.
But of course, they've returned--and brought a surprise with them. No one is quite certain where those patterns came from, but they seem a bit attached.

personally i love every piece of the revamp. (: i love the brown colors, because hey, it's sexy. stop complaining about the color if you dont like it, no ones forcing you to get the pet and keep it common, so shut your mouths (especially if you can't draw to save your life. honestly now, lets see YOU come up with a crazy-amazing design like this.) hugs for whoever came up with the brilliant revamp

I don't understand why people are upset over the colors. There are a LOT of colors to choose from. If you don't like common, then use an arid potion o_0. Not that big of a deal. I didn't like how the old version common looked arid, personally.

I like this a lot! For once I have no complaints about this. It looks so much like a snake, and the art is fantastic.

The ARID one will be white and black, so the common one CAN'T be. The colours are all messed up on the current serpenths.

Sun and reborn will be all red. And I love the browns!

Not too crazy for the new mane. Needs to be more... flare-y like the old one. Nice new shape, though. Very organic.

Because that is arids color scheme, and it will be black/white. If you want one with those colors, get an arid potion.

Ignore my last comment.. I understand why it can't be blackwhite. But please DNA, could you at least make it, I dunno, red? Red/black? Many shades of red? Hell make it green and purple, just not teh browns.
No one likes brown anyway :v

Absolutely beautiful revamp... I love the new patterns added to it, and the longer body... The only thing that seems to bother me is the wings... They seem like they should be placed slightly higher, like on the older one. Overall, though, I love it. =3

I love the new body design, I don't mind the colours, but I really dislike the mane. But I don't like the mane too much on the original design, either, so. :X But this is exciting, I'm looking forward to seeing the other colours redrawn!

The lineart is lovely, but the colors kinda fail. Why change the common color palette all of a sudden when there's nothing wrong with the old one? Way to ruin the only decent revamp as of late : Keep the lineart, but make it white and black again.

It's beautiful - I love the colour, since I found the original one to look more 'arid' than anything. The curly 'mane' of sorts is adorable. The markings are very nice. Reminded me of Quetzalcoatl when I looked at it. <3

Like what has already been said, I like the old one's high wing position. Regardless, the new one is a wonderful improvement.

I Love the looks, this was one of the ones I was waiting for for a long while...but the colors NEED to stay...its the only pet I want to keep common...

It's looks fantastic. The other colours will be awesome. The mane looks a bit "curly" but that's a very minor thing.

Hmm, I do like the new style quite a bit actually...
Though I still really liked the old.
The only thing main thing I prefer about the old is how the wings are higher.
The tongue is a really nice touch though and overall the way the body is done looks more detailed.
I just sorta miss how the wings were but eh not that big of a deal.

One thing, though. I'd much prefer this Serpenth design with the older colour scheme >w< But I do concede that this newer colour scheme looks very realistic and complimenting. Good job!

hmm mixed feelings... Id like to see what it would look like if the wings were as high as the original. Love how the wings and mane have a more realistic look to them.

I can't believe it. I adore this version. It's infinitley better drawn and more lifelike. I feel like I can connect to this creature as a pet, instead of looking at it and thinking "Well, it's a nice cartoon..."

Oh please not. Could this new version be a new color for serpenths or something? I think it looks great as it is now, slithery and white and raveish... it looks good like it is imo.

I don't understand why so many complains about the mane XP... Or maybe I'm overly fond of it because it reminds me of Aizen? XD;

Omg, I love it sooo much! It looks so much more like a snake and I love the new colors, however, its hair looks a little too.... flowy? Maybe if there were a bit less of it, but other than than that, the artistry is amazingly done. Simply beautiful

Guys. Guys guys guys. Stop making me repeat myself, please.
The original color scheme is going to be kept, it's just being -moved- to a different color (arid). The current common needed a new color scheme, because it should be Arid (and Arid should be Twilight). x_x
There will still be black and white serpenths.

I love the idea of the new revamp. The patterns are love.

But maybe like someone said earlier; make him albino! He was White and black to begin with.

And the new wings do look a little bit too big, maybe slightly smaller?

The head and tongue is Amazing. I love it. But the hair looks a little bit.... like a wig.

OH GOD FUX YES D8 I'm so happy I could freaking die. I've wanted a revamp for forever and that's sexyyy~ Although, the change of colors and whatnot made me kind of go "wait, what" but I actually think it's a lot more creative than the old black-and-white dur dur dur thing.

Overall I like it very much, and think it's a huge improvement (although looking at the old one, ANYTHING is an improvement.)

But the hair - God, it looks like someone dumped a bottle of Rogaine on its head. It's just too much - too curly, too female, too much HAIR.
