y'know... i always thought it was a goatee too. not an ascot... lol anyways! yeah, when i looked at the revamp i thought it was a slap of paint on the top of it's head. not a skull. so i think that needs to be tweeked. and the shading kinda makes him look hairy, i'd smooth it out a touch.
on a side note, i think you guys do an amazing job with revamps, keep up the great work awesome artistos!!

Wow. Do not want :c For some reason I just do not like the revamp at all. Over shaded, and the pose looks awkward to me, as well as the hands and head. D'x Whhhhhhy?!

Now that I actually have studied both versions side by side I see that the neck-tie cloth on the old version is like the current version and doesnt look to go all the way around like I imagined it to. I do think the revamp's neck-tie should be shorter, and of course the head design should stand out less, like the old versions. =)

I like everything but the design on the head and the little neck ruffly part. The pose is okay, but i still like the 'woosh'-ness of the old one. I voted for the old one cause of that stuffs. But otherwise I like the new Ghostly.

The new one is pretty cool, but...I really don't see what was wrong with the old one? It had more charm, in my opinion.

And again, I ask...WHEN WILL THE VELOSOTOR REVAMP GET HERE?!

I'm rather impatient for it, if you couldn't guess. =3

I like this one, and I think it goes better with some of the newer Ghostly colors such as Galactic.

I am a ghostly owner, and I absolutely love the revamp. The only problem I have with this over the old version is the skull and crossbones on it's head. I prefer the old version's crossed lines and tiny black skull. The skull design on this ghostly's head is so HUGE. It looks better being small and colored in. Also, I'm not sure I like the neck-tie like piece of cloth. I always imagined the ghostly's head to be like a piece of cloth draped over a lollipop and tied on... which means the ends of the cloth would go completely around and not just bunched up in the front. Other than that, I think it looks a lot better.

I like the pose of the old one a lot better. The original looked like it was floating while this new one looks like it's doing a dramatic faint.

The new one bothers me. Well, the shading looks a bit weird, kind of like its covered itself in strips of paper and glue. The skull on it's head...it looks like hair to me. its hands sems a bit weird. Maybe its just me. This is one of the first times I've liked the old ones. But keep working!

Artistically it's much better but it doesn't have the charm of the old one, perhaps try fewer changes and much less shading? It's a ghost it's not supposed to be all that shiny in my opinion.

I really, really, really, really don't like this version of the ghostly. No offence to the artist or anything. I always liked the simplicity of the old ghostly and how the 'x' combined with the mouth made it look like the XD face... bleh, I just don't like it.

The new one has good shading, but i personally think the old one is cuter I think a pet like this is meant to be simpler and not detailed, even if it needs to be revamped. shrug

Aw, and there are such critical comments here! constructive criticism, people! ._.

That was a piece of cloth??? I always saw a neck and the shirt collar around it was ripped.

It's an improvement, and I can tell the artist tried really hard. Still, I prefer the neck over the jabot; which to me looks really awkward and strange. Kinda like it's got a beard.

Of course I've said that about the last few things that were new. ^^;
The shading is a little harsh, but otherwise a biiiig improvement. The hands are a little odd, but I'm the one to talk... XD

I have no complaints except for maybe, I would kinda like to see a little bit of the eyes on the skull :3

These revamps need to quit with the over-shading. Fifty million different shades of one color does not equal better art. Simple is usually superior. XP

Wow, this is very neat. I never liked the old version of the Ghostly (too outdated) but this redraw definitely changed my mind about it. I don't really like the species too well, so I won't be getting one, but well done! I like it a lot. The shading is neat and different, and I'm probably the first one to say this, but I really, really like the skull on the forehead. Awesomeness! Keep up the good work! 8D

I don't usually comment on revamps, but wow... I really really really really don't like this one. I just can't stress enough my feelings of disgust. Erm, no offense meant, but seriously.

It is way over-shaded, too raggedy, the hands are freakish, the face looked better when it was more angular, and... wow it's just... ick. I don't even like Ghostlies, but this is taking several steps backward in the great world of art.

Whoa, the cloth folds in this are so amazing. o__o The new pose is great too, and I like how you can actually tell it has a jabbot-like thing now. XD My only complaint is that it's still hard to tell there's a skull pattern above the crossbones - I had to stare at it for a while to realize what it was. XD It was even harder to see on the original though. It's nice to see this species getting some love for its common poses after it has gotten so many awesome special colors. ^^

Actually, I was wrong. It does look more like a neck when you look at the chibi version. A neck makes much more sense. I'd prefer a neck or a less frilly jabot.

Beautiful revamp, a definite improvement from the old one =D Only crits would be the hands look a little odd and awkward, and perhaps the shading is a little harsh? However, the shading might not be an issue because I can see it gives a ghostly ragged appearance which ties in quite nicely ;D Fantastic =DD

I agree with FeralKoala, however, the detail and shading on thew newer one is much better and eye catching. I must say, I prefer the older one's pose; more as though it's floating instead of just... standing there. xD Good work tho!

I think the hands are weird. The claws, especially on its left hand, look too small for the space between each one. It's also lost it's neck now, or at least the semblence of it's head being carelessly tied on. I suppose the effect is more apparent in its chibi and graveyard forms. Rather than a jabot like galactic, they've always appeared to be like a piece of cloth wrapped around a lollypop with the ends flaring out.

I also really would rather see at least part of the eyes on the skull, and if they're going for crossbones instead of X's, they need to be fleshed out more and look like proper bones. The tongue is also quite off. It's as if it takes up the whole mouth instead of being normal like spectrum or hydrus.

The pose isn't as fluid and floaty as it used to be either. It's better, but still not where it could be.

I like this version better. My only suggestions would be to soften the shading a bit and clarify what the marking is on it's head. After looking at it for a few moments I realized it's supposed to be the bottom part of a skull and cross bones but it may not be obvious to some. Aside from those two things, I do like it and may change one of my pets into one after the revamp. I love how the ascot looks like an actual ascot now instead of a beard!

I like everything but the design on the head. The cross bone part is cool but the partially showing skull part above them doesn't look right.. too close to the bones, me thinks.

Ooooh, the art is really nice. But there are two things that bother me. I don't like the bottom of the Ghostly, how it looks much wider. I know it's the 'clothing' feel to it, but it doesn't look right. Makes me think of a mop. xD And the top of the skull throws me, I think it's the huge cracked piece. It wasn't very apparent on the older one, which I liked. xD
