Scarf? Jabot? No no, that's supposed to be where the head is tied onto the body. The revamp only makes it look like a jabot. Otherwise, I agree with most other criticism. The shading is way overdone; even real fabrics, unless they're vinyl or something, aren't shaded THAT sharply. The pose is static and uninteresting, partially because the bottom of the body/sheet is splayed too wide, making it look more like a kid in a dress than a flying Ghostly. The skull is too large and touching the crossbones, making it look busy and confusing. I also think the more angular head of the old Ghostly matches the body art style better, and the simple X is more appealing and unique than the fully detailed, pirate-cliche crossbones. Actually, the Ghostly would probably do just fine with a minor outline and shading tweak, not a total overhaul.

The pose is really wonky. The perspective is a bit off, especially on the hands. If the one is closer than the other, then it should be bigger.

Outside of the post, I think it's done quite well.

I didn't really think the old one needed to be revamped, so I voted for it. That being said, I still like this version quite a bit, though it just doesn't seem as... cute... as the old one. I wish it looked slightly more like it was flying, like the old one did. Also, in my opinion, the bottom (feet? cloth?) should be more tattered, kind of like the Graveyard Ghostly. I also believe the outermost finger on the left hand looks strange anatomically... But overall I like both versions. (I'm just being overly picky about the revamp.)

I liked the simplicity of the old one.

The new one is nice too, though I have a few complaints. I prefer the small black skull-mark to the large white one, and the cravat is a bit too frilly. And the bottom is too straight; it's lacking the wispy float of the other one.

Pose is fantastic though, and I love the face. XD With all the great revamps so far, I'm looking forward to how the Ghostly ends up.

I actually like this revamp except that I know for a fact the Hydrus and Spectrum ones WILL be revamped. Hopefully they can stay close in the poses I put them in, hehe. But I do like this. It's not boring like past revamps - I just wish he looked a little more up in the air and flying like the old one did. :3

i kinda disagree with ico, the new one looks good and the many shades they used on its bottm makes it look a lil more "clothin-ish" which i believe was the objective o_x

but on the other hand the many shading used on the tongue made it look not natural, maybe some lass tones on it would look better, as ico said, the skull on its head is a bit too big campared to the bones, but it kinda looks cute this way. the scarf looks good to me, maybe a lil bit wider and fluffy, dunno, would make it look better -aaaaaah too many words -

It has really shiny pretty colors, but the pose is static and uninteresting like nearly all of the other revamps. Please add some life to the character you're drawing instead of trying to distract people with excessive amounts of shading.

While the new one has some better qualities about it (such as the hands), I definitely like the old version MUCH better.

The revamp has WAY too much shading (it may be more realistic but it isn't as aesthetically pleasing), especially on the bottom of the Ghostly's "tatters." The skull on top of the head is too big in relation to the crossbones; if I didn't already know that's what its supposed to be, I wouldn't be able to tell (this may be in part because the skull and the crossbones are touching, and makes it look like one object).

The jabot/neck scarf will take getting used to, since in the old image it kinda looked like a type of gruff beard, which was cute. The neck scarf thing is however a little too long and skinny; perhaps shorter and wider?

I apologize for my extensive ~~complaints~~ criticism. While the Ghostly is my favorite pet of all, and therefore my views are a little harsher on revamping, I do not mean any disrespect to the artist. Thanks for listening.

I love the new design. The only thing I dont like is that the old one, the bottom of it was sweeping to the left, as if flying, now it looks like its wearing a dress, but aside from that, I love it!

The left thumb looks a bit small, but other then that this looks great ^^ I hope the spectrum gets a revamp as such..

I can't say I like the shading on this one, I dunno-- I prefer the simpler look of the first one. Unfortunately, the old pets never seem to win these things. Dang.

Oh, I only just realized the bizzarre M-shape on top of the head was supposed to be the bottom of a cartoon skull. Maybe it should be moved downward so you can actually tell what that thing on its head is.

I hope i didn't say anything negative or not constructive. I really appreciate the artist's hard work and I know unfortunately some people do not think about the artists as real people, but they are and I hope the artist knows I am always in awe of Subetan art. I did vote new because the current Ghostly looks outdated and dos not fit in with the current style except for the Hydrus, Dark Matter, Graveyard and Spectrum which are all amazing, but if they must get revamped then fine. I will always love my pets. I will always love the artists and appreciate their hard work and dedication.

The only thing that would make it cooler if it had the ferocious teeth of the Hydrus one. I hope if the Spectrum is revamped that the tongue is still out. I love that.

I like the more tattered look at the bottom along with the more cloth looking white piece. There are really only two things I am not fond of the hands and the top of the skull. The crack or whatever it is is close to the marking and to me it doesn't look so great.

looks sorta like a tree trunk with its branches reaching for you. Don't care for the shading at all. Wish they would show more of the skull part of the crossbones.

I really like the old one better. This one has way too much shading and the hands and tongue look wrinkly. No offense to the artist, this would look spectacular if I didn't like the cuteness of the old one so much. ~Willow

I think it's .gif compression that ruined the tongue. Which means, yeah, too many shades/colors for a pet which makes it bad quality when it's a .gif. I wonder when are they going to switch to .png..

i think it'd be better with a more 'sickly' look to it. for example, skinnier body/arms, and a smaller skull, and maybe get rid of the jabot and change to something else, like the puff of fur it looked like in the old one?

i must say, i'm pleased to see a revamp I FINALLY like. the sharpness is nice, especially the hands, wonderful job. however, i have to agree with the comments on the skull, size it down to make the crossed bone, it's a touch too large and therefor unidentifable. also, the ghostly's head itself is now rounder, somewhat softer, which doens't match this new sharp look. crips up the edges, less curved more angles, i think. not a lot, just, well it looks kinda like a chipmunk in the cheek area. but bravo, well done on a revamp that didnt redo the whole pet into a brand new creature

e_e How can you people say the old one is better? It's obvious the new one is nicer by like, 5437647x moar, and I don't even like ghostlys. But, I guess people have to complain if something doesn't fit their pet completely.

I love the new one, but the pose on the old one made it look more "ghostly"; this pose looks a little awkward, and yes, make the skull on its head a little bit smaller.

Other than that, AWESOME! I really like how you shaded it.

I really like the way the hands are all 'I'm comin to get ya' now, it's scarier looking. That's cool. The skull/crossbones looks strange though since the skull part is cut off. And most of all, that jabot has got to go! Overall though, I vote new --- a nice improvement!

The only thing I don't like about it is that his bottom fans out a little to much. I like the skinner kind of look better. Other than that though I think it looks fantastic!

It's so much nicer than the old one, which -I- thought didn't need improving. xD My only complaint is the slightly wonky looking skull.
