gah its obvious the white thing at the neck of the old ghostly is NOT a Jabot, its a peice of neck bone being shown through the ragged collar. Of course its going to go through anyway because they always do. Oh well I vote the old design for everything now due to principle, almost every revamp has screwed up at least one color of the pets

oh man I'm real sorry to say this but I realllly dont like it...enough where if it does change that I'm gonna have to change my graveyard ghostly into something else. I'm sorry but he looks too silly the shading is really sharp and the tie thing he's wearing does not look good. He looks too happy too and not maniacal enough. I kinda pictured ghostly as being insane and weird. The old one looked like he was happy in a I'm gonna eat you kind of way. But that's just me. I really hope you guys don't change it into that.... Maybe just work on the idea a little longer i dunno... that's just how i feel.

It's not that I don't like it, it's just that the shading is too clumpy plus the ghostly doesn't really look ghostly enoth. He looks like a dude in a sheet curtain...

I overall like this one a lot better. It's a nice, clean redoing of the Ghostly, making it look more like a redraw than a completely new design, which is nice. I don't really like the bottom of the... skirt/dress/robe thingy? It looks kind of squared off, which makes it look more like he's standing on something than floating. I like the tapered off bottom on the old one a little better. I actually really like the idea of the jabot. It makes one think of old Victorian ghosts rather than a lollipop-headed brown sheet. Not that lollipop heads are bad, but this one has a more ' ghost' feel to it. Thumbs up to the artist!

The new one looks like it stands rather than floats and the right arm doesn't look quite right either. shrugs Just my impression.

I think the new one is mostly better, but I agree that the shading is much too sharp. I think the skull and crossbones is good, though...it was obviously supposed to be a skull and crossbones in the first place, as can be seen on the chibi, but it just wasn't detailed enough to tell in the old version.

Hmm, I like the shadin on this one, but the fingers and the skull and crossbones just look kinda weird, especially the fingers xD I always thought it was a little skull and an X and with his mouth that way whenever I type that little emoticon thing 'xD' I think of ghostly, now whenever I think of ghostly I think of pirates T^T So other than that, I love the revamp! (just dont touch chibi ghostly or I will haunt you!) Lol xD Um, yeah. Been bottled up in my mind to long. Gotta let it out

More shadows don't solve everything, I think it lacks the charme the old Ghostly had. The poll is suggesting otherwise, but please don't use this revamp.

People keep saying the shading is too sharp, but the old ghosty had sharp, minimal shading. The only thing i don't like is the jabot, and i liked the idea of it just being an 'x' over a skull and crossbones.

This is absolutely amazing. And let me just say, why are people saying the 'new skull and crossbones'? If you look close on the old one, you can see something above the 'X'. It especially shows on the chibi. I think the artist just wanted to make it show more to avoid the whole 'XD' face type of thing. | And, please, stop arguing about the 'jabot' thing? If anything, the artist would maybe be trying to improve the ghostly, by adding a touch of class? Haha. | OVERALL FABULOUS DARLING. 8D

i'd be interested to see how the polls go if the old version were the first option and the new version was the 2nd; would it be more even - or completely lopsided for the old version.

It's a ghost by my guess, so I don't think the detailing works so well here. Ghosts are mean to be a wispy artifacts, one short glance and it's gone. Details on an undead are better left off, or left tattered from disuse. I'd even suggest to make it transparent to keep with with a "Casper" like appearance. This is NOT Casper, but it never spoke "Ghost" to me

I love the revamp.The folds are well done and I love the little ruffly jabot,it gives a touch of class to the Ghostly.Awesome work. I just realized it but does the Ghostly even have eyes?

It's nice but I voted for the old one nonetheless. I like the more dynamic, haunting pose of the old Ghostly. The new one is too detailed and sharp with the arrangement of the folds for me and I'm not really a fan of the new pirat-y sign on the head.

I voted for the new one but the one thing I don't like is the jabot..if you look at the Chibi Ghostly it looks more like a neck..I think that would fit better.. But great job making this new one!

The only thing I dislike is the jabot, it seems totally out of character for the Ghostly. Other than that I like it.

I think its great except the "skull" part of the skull and crossbones is too far down... there should be a bigger gap between the crossbones and the skull

I voted new.. because it's gorgeous. But I totally hope the old style of the marking on top of the head gets used instead of the new skull and crossbones. The old marking seemed kind of.. etched into the skull of the Ghostly, whereas the new one seems kinda drawn/pasted on a bit?

I agree with everything angelembryo said, especially the bit about turning the X symbol on its head into a pirate cliche. I love the Graveyard variant, and I think that's about as much detail as it needs.

I really liked the old one, but I do like the new one as well...Though I agree with everyone else...This one needs less shading and it has to be simpiler. More floaty...ish. Yeah.

Look at the Chibi and Graveyard Ghostlies, which have both been around for quite a long time. That is definitely not a jabot, and making it so completely alters the character of the pet. I always imagined it as something like a haunted house decoration made from a couple of sacks/sheets and some stuffing that came to life (especially the cream one - it has that adorable burlap sack look). But giving it a jabot, combined with the stereotypical skull and crossbones, makes it look like some half-hearted piratey-ghosty Halloween costume.

There's something... not flowy enough about this one. Ghostlies are supposed to be ghosts, if I'm right, and the revamp makes it look too material. Maybe the shading is too harsh? And even though it's cool, I kinda liked the plain old 'x' on the forehead. x]

I pretty much agree with the general publics idea of less shading. I love the scarf/cravat thing (also needs a softer shading), and I kinda wish the X would stay an X and not.. crossbones.

I'd rather if the cloth underneath was a bit smoother. I understand the appeal of massive amounts of detail, but that's either crepe paper or extremely creased fabric trailing under that ghostly. Also, it'd be nice if it swept off to one side a little more, so it's less like a (non-floating) creature in a blanket, and more like a vapor-like ghost. I never even noticed before that there was a skull and bones on the ghostly's head- I thought it was just a XD face on it. Thanks for clarifying it, whoever drew it. Another thing- the hands on the new one are better than the old one, but still a bit big.

I like the pose but I'd change the skull and the scarf. To me it seems the scarf now has too many folds.

adorable! i've always loved Ghostly's! It was my first pet, but then I morphed it. xD -sigh- I hope to get another ghostly soon. Such a BEAUTIFUL revamp.

Wonderful, I love it. However I think the shading is a bit too sharp, the bottom looks a little... big, and the shading is a bit too sharp.

I think it may look a bit better like that but you know, not edited by me because I suck x)

I've never really paid much attention to the Ghostly. But after the Galactic was released I fell in love with it. I now plan on getting one, however. The revamped Ghostly looks weird to me. It doesn't have neither the charm of the old one nor the coolness of the Galactic. And the skull and crossbones on it's head I always thought looked like he was making an XD face. I prefer the old one.

Pretty decent, I Don't like the skull bones though, too noticable. Other than that it's pretty good, and sticks to the original quite a bit.

BUT WILL SOMEONE PLEASE DO SOMETHING ABOUT THE DRAGON?

It has been sitting there for months, despite the fact the majority of Subeta wants it redone. Sorry If that sounded rude, but the staff just seems to be ignoring it.;-;

I agree- it seems pretty obvious after looking at the chibi ghostly that the color on the chest is not, in fact, a jabot and is actually where the neck can be seen through the tattered "cloak" that makes up the ghostly's body. Additionally, though nobody is very fond of the skull on the forehead, I think the crossbones actually look worse. I preferred the simple X because it looks less stereotypically piratey, like angelembryo said.

I don't get all the complaints about the skull being too high up. I can't even see the skull on the original one, at all. I didn't know such skull existed until this revamp. yet this one is too high? Uh, okay. o.o;
