I'd say it goes like this: If you want a dragon that's based on eastern mythology, there's the Paralix. If you want a dragon that's based on western mythology, there's the Dragon. If you want a dragon that's pure fantasy, pick the Dragarth. And if you don't want a "real" "flesh-and-blood" dragon, go with the gargoyle (Magnus, that is)! It all makes sense in my head, at least.

xD; It's a completely fine thing to say. I was just more going on the pose and expression, not the robotic stuffs. Sorta' over-looked your post, but you're right; Endeavors are robotic, and thus have different looks. But the posing, the hunch, the wings, the face, and even the tail position....

I like the old dragon better, it had an eastern dragon look to it. The new one is more western styled. But that is just me, he still looks cool just not my style.

At least you do get some constructive criticism from most users. If you do happen to go back to the Demi revamp and the Feli revamp polls, a good number of users DID happen to post more than; 'I H8 IT!!11!11oneone'. There where super-long debates between users about the revamps, people posting, people choosing, people giving advice on the pets and letting you and the other staffers know what we disliked and loved about both revamps. The more mature users would have done the same here.

Yes, there are news comments. That doesn't mean all of those that vote in the poll USE them. That also doesn't mean that they actually post constructive criticism, many either post 'I like it!!!" or 'I hate it!!!', not specifics... I've seen enough of the news post comments when a poll was posted to have formed my opinion that polls aren't a great way to get feedback. Of course you guys don't have to agree, that's just my personal opinion.

Is it me or do I feel like people miss something around here...?
If the Dragon was meant to have wings, the artist who drew the original Dragon would have added them. I don't mind updating the images to the Subeta art standard. I do mind it when the actual concept and idea of the pet is greatly, if not completely, altered. Many will agree.
Now, we have three European dragon pets which do look different. Admittedly. But it all comes down to the SAME dragon kind/body type after you look past the fancy shading, details and whatnot.

And, in response to the poll thing you said, Jessyta. The polls don't give that large amounts of sP to people, so whoever voted in the polls for sP must be pretty darn desperate. Or just far too greedy to bother to vote on something they dislike just to get 100-200 sP in return.

That's why they have a 'comments' section. Usually, when a poll IS posted, many users flock to vote, and many more still post on the comments that are located in the news- as most polls DO so happen to pop up in the 'news' section, THUS allowing those who voted freedom to say why they voted yes or no.

All a poll does is give players a Yes or No option. Personally, I disliled the polls for that reason. We have no way of knowing WHY people voted the way they did, heck, we can't even tell if people are just voting for some quick SP or if they actually have a preference.

The Art Staff are more then happy to listen to your constructive criticisms of revamps, so feel free to use the Revamp Feedback Sticky in Bragging and Complaining to give them your thoughts.

Items and pets that have been revamped have been tweaked because of the specific issues users have had with the revamped version. So don't assume that just because this was released without a poll that we don't care about your opinions. We do. We just can not make every single person on Subeta happy while still maintaining certain artistic standards...

Endeavor kinda gets away with it in the dragon arguement, being robotic. He has plenty excuse as far as being different goes.

Personally, I think I'm one of the few who actually LIKE the revamp of the dragon. In my opinion, the wings were a NEEDED addition, and are a major plus to the revamp. Back when I was looking to find a decent dragon to make my Draco, NOTHING looked even good enough. The dragon and Paralix were wingless, plus the dragon had those whiskers made the dragon look old and unattractive, and the Dragareth looked way too short for my taste. I had no choice but to turn to the Magnus, which is a gargoyle, not a dragon! I wish I had waited for this revamp to come out, instead of possiblly spending millions to get a miracle potion.

As for the poll, well that's just a touchy subject in general. I know this would have upset me if it was a species I was particularly fond of and was suddenly changes without even a poll or opinion option. But, I'm not staff, and I can't pretend I know the inner workings of their meetings and such. I can only know that there must have been a good reason for it.

I made my dragon a "Dragon" because it was very eastern in look. Now I need to pound her?

C'mon. The barbels (whiskers) were awesome in the Eastern dragon, and you have TWO western ones (3 if you count Endeavor)

It's not really for the best if a lot of people were upset because of the change, now is it...?
Anyone remember the Demi revamp? It wasn't a big change in the species, nothing was added and they got an outline/colour tweak. Needed and polled. Accent is on 'polled' and on 'nothing was added'.
So, the Demi just got a tweak and we were polled on it, but the Dragon practically gets a complete redraw and we don't get ANY hint that it will be redrawn apart from the release of the Galactic Dragon. Which, with all honesty, didn't remind me of THE Dragon we have on Subeta at all. I thought that it was a new species. Until I checked the URL of the image.
And then we're 'hard to please' and you 'let us decide'...? Something's a bit off to me. I don't mean to be rude, but... There's just something off about those two claims I keep reading over and over lately in the news comments.
Before anyone snaps at me, I like the shading on the Dragon and the fact that you can see it's full body now. The wings weren't needed. Neither was a that drastic change in it's actual body/head shape.

Staff rarely poll us anymore. They won't if they feel it's better for the site. If the members don't agree or not doesn't matter, it's staff's decision. Because, as they seem to like saying now-a-days, we members are impossible to please.

ChimaeraAndDream: I very much love your revamp of the dragon. ^^ You can definitely tell how different it is and, if you did the old one as well, how much you've improved as well. I applaud you for it. The chais never were a favorite of mine but they're cuter. I can't wait to see a spectrum dragon, would so love one of those

Hmmm. What ever happened to poling the users when a pet was going to be overhauled?

I realize that it may have needed a revamp but when it no longer looks like the same pet (in case of a the dragon) I think that the users should at least be asked what they think. It has been done for less important changes, why stop now?

I know staff are very busy now and i know when they do revamps and changes the pets they do it for the best.Some people may like it or others no.That is why there a variety of species.Anyway im pretty sure being a staff isnt easy and is very hard working.I appreciate everything they do for us i really do and i give them 2 thumbs up!I really like the chai revamp as for the dragon i wasnt a fan of it at first but i have to say that it's cute and much better then the old one.Now we are able to see the full body of the dragon.Anyway good job staff!!!

Now I realize what else is wrong; Take a look at the Bloodred Dragon, then take a look at the Bloodred Endeavor. oO; They are FAR too alike. It looks like it's trying to imitate the Endeavor.

I honestly think you should have polled us as well. That dragon is nothing like the old one. If it was something minor, like shading details, whatever, I can understand, but that was such a big change..... I find it highly unfair that no one was polled about this. I like the old way where there was more than one style of art around here..... now it's all just.. 'meh, don't ask, just do!' I think if you /had/ put a poll for the both, the new Chai would have one and the old Dragon would have stayed. That just isn't the dragon all of us know and grew to like, to aprreciate. It doesn't have the same feel, the same look..... The same facial hair. -0 (Whiskers).

Again, don't bite me... I'm JUST saying. I don't expect anything. We all live in the real world, so we all can see that the three are similar. You can pretend that it's original and they're all very different all you like, the fact does still remain that there are three western dragons and one eastern. On a constructive note, I think the dragon needs more scales now. He had tons before.

Kelpie, Chimmy: I think you two are getting way too defensive over this. I realise most of the staff are incredibly besy at the moment, including you, and I in no way mean this as unappreciative. However, I really believe we, the users, should have atleast been polled on the dragons revamp. The changes are major, and we've been polled on much, much minor changes. You may see three different species of dragon, there, but all I see is a simple dragon, then two more detailed versions of it. Before, we had two dragons of each type, two western(a furry and stone/scaled) and two eastern(again, a furry and scaled). Now the ratio has been thrown off, and we have three, very similar looking pets. Again, I in no way mean this in a rude mannor. ._.;

Dyah! Don't go biting me, I just think it feels like it's unbalanced. Sure, there's a ton of canines, but there are plenty different types of canines in real life. There's plenty different types of cats in real life. There's only two real differences in dragon types in real life... body type, I mean. That's not counting the wyvern and serpents, of course. Just an opinion, don't think I'm whining. It's pointless to whine, the staff isn't about to do anything about it. Already figured that fact out... so I'll just deal and pick out a new species for my Lorek, since I'm not about to waste any currency on an angelic potion for him to change on me.

The Spectrum Chai wont change his. her look will she? I am new to the revamping of pets here and not sure.. I just love love her swoopy paw! I would be so bummed if she changed.. I love the new Chai look however!

Why does there even need to be a ratio? Last I checked, all of these pets were originally created by someones imagination, who cares if there is more of one "style" of dragon. It's all up to the artist imagination and interpretations of what the pet might be based on.

And again, it's up to the staff to decide whether or not the users need to be involved in whatever they're doing.

The Chai is adorable.
I however have absoloutely nothing positive to say about the dragon so I shall not comment other then to say The old pose made them unique this strips them of the personality they once had. I was seriously hoping the galactic version was not a taste of what was to come. I am curious as to why this revamp was not posed since it was so drastic when they have polled before in regards to minor revamps.

The dragon isn't any more like the magnus and dragarth than the kumos, telenine and montre are alike. They're all similar species, but each has its own distinctive characteristics.

Three completely different breeds of dragon. Do we not have many members of the same animal group in different forms? What of the feli, the celinox, the tigrean, the demi? The kumos, the montre, the telenine, the ruffie?
I swore I said I wasn't going to do this anymore, but--please, study up on your arguments before you make them.
