Vampire/Tusme was the artist on the demi, don't be so harsh Lemur, just because you think its perfect doesn't mean it it. Everyone has a voice, its called freedom of speech and expression.
Lemur - Apparently you didn't read the news post. We were looking for constructive crits which is what most people here provided.
This is not the final version, and we were looking for things to improve on this, so that we could put up a newer version soon.
To shoot down everyones critiques just because you think they're wrong, isn't constructive, and now you have a warning heading your way as well.

Wooh...The Reborn Demi isn't being changed. XD Not to say I don't like this new one but I'm used to what mine looks like. XD
This new one looks alot nicer than the old one. The old one's lines looked a bit too thick and its details weren't as good as the new one.
The mane does look a little off though. It looks like its all ready to fall off any minute. The horn I have no problem with. In fact, I think its better. The tail could be a little more...curly like the old one though. 
The bottom of the tail is too straight and doesn't fit the curl at the top.
All in all, I still love the revamp and voted for the new. ^^
Ahh, that's right. I was going to respond to all these critiques..
The face: Oh, shut up, people. Demis are cat-like. They have shorter noses. And, it's really not quished., I believe the mane just makes it look that way. (Although it looks perfect to me)
The horn: It is a little different from the real Demi's horn, but it's still nice. Even if it does slightly change the image of the species.
The hair: It's hair? o.o
I always imagined Demis with thick, brittle hair that was like a quil. I mean, look at the rings on them. Besides, EVERY other Demi has stiff hair like that, and you didn't complain about THEM.
The Lineart: Screw you guys, it's beautiful. Most Subetapets have lineart that thin, but when the picture is a light color then it looks more thin.
The Shading: Why would you complain about the shading? The forepaw is closer forward, and more round. As far as I know, it would have less shadowing on it.
The Eye: It's great! Really shiny and beautiful. It is a little different, more cute than the Original Demi. But, again, this is a change from the old Demi to the new. It doesn't bother me much.
The Ears: I didn't see any comments about ears. But, I like them, even if they're not really my style. -Likes big ears- But, that's one reason why I don't care for Demis much.
This Revamp is amazing, overall.
To the Artist (Who I just guessed is most-likely Zae, because of the shading. And the fact it's dumbfoundingly great) Don't take any of these comments to heart. If you do see the errors yourself, and understand where they're coming from, then do whatever. But, I think it's gorgeous. There's nothing really wrong with it, these people are just picky snobs. ]:
The horn seems oddly placed. The angle of it seems like it sticks directly out of the top of its forehead. Also, the surrounding hairline is just weird. I was never a fan, but I like the eyes and markings more on the old one. They aren't wide enough and are too high and I don't like the straight line marking blending into the eyeline instead of curving around the outside of the eyes. Overall, there just doesn't seem to be much space on the head.
But I love my Dark Matter Demi. ._. I got her only a little while ago and love her more than ever. Meh, but its okay if the Dark Matter Demi changes I'll just put up a picture of the old Demi on her profile then.
It's OK. : I still like the old one better personally. I think the horn needs to be fixed and the fur on its back REALLY annoys me. I think there's too much of it.
BUT that's just MY opinion.
I like them both, I think the new Demi looks older and more mature. In the end I voted for the new one. They both have some good aspects, though.
Whichever way it turns out, nice job.

After reading everyone's comments I've started to notice how the tail is really detached from the rest of the Demi. That was probably the weirdest part of the new Demi I saw but I didn't notice it until now. ish stupid And I forgot to mention how I love its paws, they look cool. Meh.
Well, the DM isnt the /only/ Demi color, and the Reborn was already said not getting cahnged.. and this one looks like the reborn to me so..
The DM one has a really annoying style to it no offense, but it looks nothing like a Demi.. in fact it kinda reminds me of a Montre/Kumos crossbreed. xDDD
Im just saying, it would be best not to compare it to the special pose change colors too much versus the real species. =]
I have to say I love the way the demi is right now right now it's my favorite pet right now. I'm sorry but I really wish you would just live it the way it is.

I voted for the old one. The new one is too detailed. Normally I like the newer detailed pets, but the new Demi seems too fluffy and shiny. The old one just has a nice feeling...even if that sounds weird. ^^;
I think that, while the redraw looks nice, the horn ought to be curved more, and the tail ought to have the fluffy underside.
I also preferred the slightly darker colours. But overall I like the shape of the new Demi more.

I prefer the old Demi. The old Demi's eyes have more depth and a sweetness to them, but I find the new Demi's eyes more vacant in comparison. I am also rather taken with the old Demi's rich colouring, eye-shading and mane's appearance. I also love the spots, and would miss what they add to the look.
If I were to incorporate a couple of things from the new look Demi, I like the prominence of the front ruff, as well as the tail, it looks better less close to the body but I would like to see it lifted off the ground. The pinkening of the ears is a nice touch too. I would like to see the horn a little higher than the old look (with the same thickness and size), yet not quite as upright as the new look.
Well done to all the artists though, I really admire the talent on this site!
Uh, I am not really liking the new version of the demi too much...I prefer the old one....the new one seems odd...the tail could use more work...it looks "detached" from the Demi's rump, it's paws need more shading, like in the old version, the horn seems to point exactly straight up, and has a massive "poofyness" to it's chest. The "quills" or spikey back hair doesn't seemed to be detailed enough and for some reason, this new version looks a little too.....er fat, it looks like it gained weight some.....but this is just my opinion though, I think it might need some more tweaking
Inversitle, personally I like the reborn and DM demis better than any of the other colours. I think they look the best...
i agree with the mane being incorrect. So is the horns its like they just drew a triangle and called it a horn. The tail is also incorrect. the botto is so straight and the top is not. it looks very awkward. pls keep the old one. This is more of degressing than progressign the demi.
I just don't like it, personaly. I know there was a lot of hard work put into this, and I personaly couldn't draw anything like this- digital or not, but there are just too many problems with it to work out.
On top of everything else other people are saying, the way the tail juts out to the side like that while the rest of the demi is tilted in that angle just.... doesn't work for me. It doesn't go with the flow of the entire picture-and that flat section doesn't look too........ right, for lack of a better word.
The horn realy doesn't look like a horn..... If I may be frank, it looks like a little tiara-like headress that was put on. oO'; generaly, animals with a single horn on thier head 'rinocerous and narwhal, for examle), have it a little lower, as horns are generaly weapons for defence and wouldn't serve any practical purpose up there....
On the plus side, the line-art and shading is much better, but I'd still preffer the old over the new in this case.

Also its kinda rude of you to say that the kanis and the magnus revamps were horrible, some people actually liked them. (I know I liked the spectrum kanis.)

I like the shading and where the horn is placed, although I dont like the straight angle. Im not to good at critting but I did my best. As I said, I'd still like demis if the revamp went through, But I dont think I would own one.
omg. i cant believe everytime subeta updates a new pet everybody votes for the new one. You guys are completely bias and i dont think you guys are voting correctly. Just cuz its fresh to your eyes now doesnt mean it is better.
i think the old one is WAY better. Light years better. It is dimensional vibrant and has more character to it. The new is flat and the colour is really dull. I think that it looks like it was drawn by a 5 yeard old and then edited by their artist dad so hed get a good mark on the project but he tries to make it still look like a 5 year old did it.

First, as everyone has noted, I don't like the horn. I feel it's far too upright and thin now - both the angle and the shape are off-putting to me. I also feel that the Demi's tail is one of its best distinguishing features; I totally will miss the jagged underline and the dark splotch of color on the tip.
I also preferred the longer, thinner mane, and the slightly darker, thicker shading around the eye and down the spine. I liked the chunkier paws as well.
Whatever happens, I hope they don't touch graveyard (I see Keith has said they'll not touch reborn, so that's one worry gone): I have a friend who will fall out if her graveyard Demi changes. =D
i love it! and i am a huge demi fan. i would love to see the demi fit in with the new(er) feel of subeta's pets, which has more detailed art.
2 things though.
A lot of this has already been said, but here are my opinions and here is why I don't like this redraw...
The outlining is too thin. If you compare it to most all of the other pets on the site, it really doesn't.. go. It doesn't have Subeta style, if that even makes sense. The mane looks like a long feather duster that was taped on to the Demi's head. It would look better if it were, I don't know, less quill-ish looking? The problem is that it doesn't look like fur and that it seems detached.
I have problems with the horn, also. It looks like a Unicorn horn, not a Demi horn. The old horns are smaller and curved, not so straight-up like a stick. It needs more curve to it. ^^; I'm also bugged by how the shading on the hind leg is thick while on the front leg there is barely any. The chin doesn't seem like it goes with the rest of the lower face positioning, and needs more angle on the left. The tail is also extremely flat on the bottom and could use more shape.

I hope I gave some ideas as to how it could possibly be improved in the future. And for the record, if the DM and Reborn Demis ever changed, I'd kill myself. xD
Keith, I think we need your word on this one: Will ANY of the "special" color demis be changed? Can you say which ones?
I assume that the BR demi will get a revamp so that it's in a different, bloody pose, and we know about reborn staying the same, but what about graveyard, dark matter and angelic? Will a spectrum demi be created?
Hm...I have to say I really like the old Demi's eyes and how bold the horn style/position was. But the shading for the new Demi is beautiful and well done. I really like the chest fur style there. The tail, I must agree with Jacket, seems a bit odd especially the straight portion. The 2nd tuft of fur on the tail maybe could be downplayed a bit? Beautiful job nonetheless

I've noticed too that the bottom of the Demi's tail seems to be straight as if it was resting on the floor. That seems weird to me, but also normal. I didn't notice it until I looked closely so it isn't a big deal....
The DM Demi is completely OFF from the other Demis to me.. =[ Dunno why youd make a comparisson to IT versus the whole species.

I like the old one a lot better. I dont really like the hairline the tail. and the horn bothers me a lot. I guess I wouldnt mind if they did this but when i get my demi back he would change =/
Hm. A poll for a revamp of a pet I actually have (well, aside from the gorgeous Kumos revamp, but that's different)! xD
I'm not entirely sure how I feel about it. The shading and lines are MUCH nicer on this version, but as others before have said, the horn's position, the way it seems to be sitting, and the mane just... don't seem too right to me.
Also, dunno if it's been mentioned, but the bottom of the tail seems a bit too straightened to me. A little flat & liifeless. Perhaps it's only because I'm used to the curvaceousness of the current Demi's tail.
Overall, it's a lovely job, Tsume/Vampire. 
....I'm trusting Angelic won't be redone.... unless it won't be so chubby? x3 loves Rah's art to death, but...Khim's so chubby...xD

to me, the new one looks like a fanart drawing of the old one. really i think both of them are nice, but neither seem to have it completely right. this makes it hard to choose, because i basically like them both but i'm not super crazy about either of them either, and it's hard to say why.
My first thought was 'New. No question.' But now I think that the horn should be tilted forward a little, and the tail should follow the curve of the old version's. Do that, pump up the colour and outline in the new version, and I'm a follower. An improvement on the old one, for sure.
Reniphae, the redraw compared to the DM demi though... it just seems a little too... poofy and cutesy. I like it, I just think it's hair needs to look a little less poofy, and more sort of... sleek? Um, yeah, can't think of better word, I mean... well, the fur is just to fluffy and feathery. That's all. Otherwise, it's good.
I might be made a better fan if angelic is revamped too. I'm not terribly fond of pink and blue demis. e.e; If that gets revamped, it's all hoopy with me.

Expanding on the BR, I love how...well, rich it looked. And considering BR=viciousish, then...well. How does one make something that fluffy vicious? .-.;
Also, I think the revamps could be better suited in the direction of the Ruffie or Cadogre. e.e;
Ohh this vote was close, but I chose the redrew, pretty much for its mane that people seem to not like.
Its maine looks more like the the DM version and its markings are pretty like the DM and RB versions to, I personally think it looks better that way, I do think it's would look a little more like a demi if it where standing like the DM and RB to.
Sitting, it just seems like its mane along its bake make it look bulkyer then the demi originally was, the original design made it small and slender while the redraw you look at its leg and its belly you can see it still is slender but then if you look at its back it looks bulky.
Other then its bulky behind I love the redraw.
