Absolutely awesome. I love this new version of the Magnus.... It looks so powerful and muscular xD

However, its right arm seems to be a little out of proportion.... I think it should be shorter...

I don't think this new magnus looks chubby. o__o It looks muscular to me. And I'd just like to say that I adore its shoulders for some reason. @

OMG!! I LOVE the new version!

I love that its fangs will look more like teeth(I never thought they were wiskers). New version has more details, which to me is very perfect for this transaction from the old one.

I'm in love with the new, no doubt. I can't find any faults. The fangs, detail, and just more alive. My favorite remake!<3

If you look down a little, you will see that we were really channeling the original Magnus into this one, instead of the newer one.

Each have their perks and were put into the making of the revamp, but really we were trying to make it similar to the original, over the current.

Mweeeeep! ...I'm not sure if i want to squeal for joy or cry. o_0 If I had never seen the old Magnus, I would LOVE this one. It IS very pretty and well done. ...But i have, so all I can think of it: What have you trying to do to my HalfBlood?!

The ONLY thing I didn't like about magnus' before was the fact that i thought the wings were a bit too small to actually look capable of flight. Thats IT.

This one...well, it keeps to neutral-yet-still-slightly-aloof/mild-evilness that i liked in the pet in the first place, and it's eyes are BEAUTIFUL, but there are just somethings that bug me on this. Firstly, he looks chubby. :x Arms, legs, gut = chubby. I don't want a mini-dillema, thank you very much.

Also, to me its snout looks rather narrow, and its mouth is too small, as are its fangs and horns.
The rock/gravel texture would take some getting used to.

I never thought of magnus (magnus's? Magnuses? XP ) as gargoyles - at least, not in the form of living-rock creatures. The cartoon was too awesome for that. XP
I like the old line/scar looking things on its body better. And the side pose, too. Now you can't see its back spikes.

Considering Magnus are my favorite pets, even with the good job the artist did, I'm going with the old one...even though the shiny NEWNESS almost always wins out over the foundness for the old by current owners. -__-;

I like the expression. ^^ Also the color scheme, i do very much like it.

I guess the only thing i kinda don't like is how the arms look. :x For some reason they seem a little .. round, like, thick or something.

Liek the Kelpster, I have never been a huge fan of the Magnus, but this is awesome. I love the change in pose (somehting about the side view just doesn't do much for me... unless it's a Demi of course.)

It seems like not so long ago the Magnus was revamped by MysticCookie from the real old version. I really like this. I would love someone to show a picture here of the first Magnus.

Hm... now that you mention it, I guess it is the limbs that make it look thicker, because you can't see where its ribcage area is with the arms being there. And maybe what ejunknown mentioned about the head being a bit small makes it look chubby at first glance also? ^^; It just gives me that impression when I look at it, I don't mean any offense.

In any case, I did vote for the new one. ^^ It looks like you could see it sitting on a cathedral roof lurking around, pretending to be a statue. I hope the new Bloodred looks nice and vicious, because it already looks like something I wouldn't want to anger. :3

It's really good, except the head is maybe a little small for the body, but that is just my opinion. Great job!

Its not fatter. THe arms / legs are just bigger.

The actual stomach/middle portio nof its body is slim.

I like the texture (I think, I can't really tell anything on my mom's computer), but the front view I don't like. The wings do seem a little uneven.

I'll have to decide on this one, because even though I don't own one, I've been waiting for a touchup on the old magnus, not a revamp, just a touchup, for a long time. I'm dying for an arid one.

Ooh, fantastic textrure on the new one! It really does look like a gargoyle now. o-o Those eyes are beautiful too.

The only thing I don't prefer about the new one is that it seems much fatter. ^^; The current Magnus is very thin and lithe looking, which I liked.

I love the stone texture very much. I don't own one, so whether it has whiskers or fangs doesn't really bother me much either way. I assume that the fang alteration on the chibi would merely consist of a colouration change, and maybe connecting up the mouth line over the top of the teeth? Hmm... I actually think that might look better than the whiskers.

The one thing that I prefer on the old one are the wings. I liked the way they were smaller in proportion to the rest of it, and thin at the base. They looked a lot more stylish and stylised that way. These new wings seem a bit too large and overbearing to me. I expect they're drawn that way because the old wings wouldn't actually function, but... it's made of granite, and the wings are made of granite, so I don't think it's really necessary to make them look like they'd be functional.

I think I'm going for vote for the new one purely for the stone texture though. <3

Eh, I don't like this one as much as the last one. But I do like the fang/whisker transition and I do like the longer wings. =) I guess all I really miss is the side view. =/

It took me a while to decide on this one, but I ended up picking the new one. The speckly shading on the new one is just awesome. My only complaint is that the wings seem a bit.. uneven. On the left, the spines (for lack of a better word) are for the most part the same thickness. But on the other, they are a bit different in thickness. Also, the joint above those spines on the right seems thicker then on the left wing.

Other then that, this is a wonderful redraw. It has much more detail and shape to it, but it still retains the magnus personality. ;o

It sounds silly... but, I don't like its arms and feet. Everything else I love, especially the longer wings. Just not to arms and feet. They seem, um... blockier isn't the best word...

May I just say that I've never ever liked Magnuses, but this has me tempted? Quite a few things have been subtlely changed. It now has a more stony texture and it has fangs instead of whiskers (which we'd like to really get opinions on).

If the fangs stay, Chibi will not be touched other than to change the whiskers into teeth. That is all, I swear. That pet is far too adorable to lose.

Ooo! I agree with pshh :3 It does look a bit like a gargoyle The highlights are kind of speckled so it gives the texture of stone :3 But the eyes are more animate, it's very nicely done
