er... yeah. it looks like... fatter now. ;_; the old magnus wasn't as chubby as this one... it'd be perfect, if only it wasnt so chubby-looking. also, from this angle, you can't see the spikes on its back, which i think is an important feature of the magnus that might get lost with this revamp...

also, the head is kind of elongated upwards, it's not as round anymore. and the eyes seem kind of weird? like, the structure of the head looks off to me.

that being said, i LOVE the texture, and the larger wings. <3

Actually, I agree with Yasuragi...this new Magnus reminds me of a Dillema...which makes me sad...It's much too bulky. The pose is nice, but its thick limbs make it seem like a very clumsy creature.

I'm sorry, but can I just say this completely changed my mind to get a twilight magnus? Ugh - saving my money, and my pet.

I like the fangs, and overall like the face - I can't find anything that I persaonally dislike about it, I also like the new pose, it's far more interesting.

It just looks far too chunky... The arm and legs are just too thick, front feet just a tad too big. The wings seem too muscled and chunky at the top... I just don;t like that. I believe that's really waht turns me away from it, how blocky it is.

But... I love it's expression. And eyes.

No offence to the artist, but I had to go with the old one. This one's lovely in it's own way - but far from what I'd want.

Yeah, I really like the changes in the actual art- it has much more depth, a stone texture, it's more lifelike, etc.

But I think the feel of the old one was better. I dunno... I really liked the lanky body of the old one, and this one seems a little blobby, maybe kind of cartoonish, which I think takes away from the FENG SHUI or something whatever of the pet.
I'd like to see something closer to the original, just in the new style.

It is nice, but, erm, I think I prefer the old one. ._.
The new one has nice lineart, and I love the horns on it, but still...

While the shady and coloring is improved from the old one, I still prefer the style and position of the old one. The new one is a little bulky...

While I love liked the old one, I LOVE this. It seems so detailed and alive. And yes, MUCH more like a gargoyle than a regular dragon. Kind of gives that "stone" effect. I really, really would like to see this go through, so my Sparks can have a makeover :d

Though I ADORE the pose, I prefer the old one. The wings on this one don't look correct, and its expression isn't as appealing. Mind you, this one is definitely cool. Kudos to the artists.

I love the magnus in general, and I think this new one looks very good. The new texture and expression is really nice. However, I slightly dislike the arms. Since all my magnus are female, I don't see the more muscular arms fitting, really, and I enjoyed the slenderness of the old magnus. Just my personal opinion, though I see a few others think the same. I just think the wings and arms seem a little too chubby, maybe. However I do think the art looks very, very good.

Is the angelic going to get revamped, though?

The wings are a little bulky as is his body, and for some reason it reminded me of a semi elephant monster in light of this, I think the anatomy even if its a slight bit hefty is an improvement and the coloring is A LOT better. I didn't even know he was supposed to be a gargoyle, and though I sitll think he could be better portrayed as one than this, it is a BIG improvement over the last one. Cheers!

Personally, I like them both, I guess it depends on what you like, as stated, the wings do bug me a tad, but I do adore the coloring. So hard to choose =D

I do like that the old eyes remained consistant since those are my favorite parts of the Magnus.

I don't like the new magnus image. The quality of the art is great, in particular I love the new shading, but it is too pudgy. I'd imagine it slightly more fiersome, which the chubbiness hinders. The recent magnus was by far my favorite design. So... thanks, but no thanks. =(

THE EYES. They are great. It surely looks more like a stone, but the wings look... I don't know. A little strange, maybe too... puffy or whatever. I can't express myself. xD

... No offense to the one who drew it, but if the Magnus gets redrawn to that one, I'll elixir Archimonde into a Paralix. o-o;;;

It's hands seem a tad too big to me, as well as the upper right wing joint. ._.; The tail is kinda odd, too, and the horns are too small...

A big plus to the colouring and the shading, though. Love that.

I love the new one. It's pose is better, it looks more like stone, and the expression is amazing. Needless to say, the ears are adorable.

However, the wings look sloppy, and should be re-drawn. I suppose because the wings are such a big part of the Magnus to me is why I voted for the old one.

But fix those wings, and I'll probably go out and buy a Magnus elixir for one of my pets. Dx

About the Fangs...I LOVE them instead of the old whiskers. If anything, make the fangs bigger but they look great as-is.
(I menat to comment about that in my previous post XP thanks for reminding me Kelpie)

And along these lines, should it maybe have claws too? I guess the whole "it's made of stone" thing comes into play here...but claws would be cool.

I also must mention that I like the new texture alot, but I really LOVED the crackly texture down the back of the old Magnus (how did I forget to mention this too?). I see the old style of texturing was referenced for on the tops of the ears, and improved upon. Since we can no longer see its back, perhaps similar texture/shading could be applied to the redraw as well? Like on it's arms for example. That would increase the illusion of it being stone even more, in my opinion.

I absolutely love the new pose, it looks great...and it totally got my vote

At first the forearms bothered me...but the more I look at it, I've grown to love them - for the very reason they bothered me, no less. They remind me of Popeye

But now for the constructive critisism Some of this may have been said already, and I apologize if I'm just re-iterating stuff...but there's almost 100 comments, and I haven't read them yet XP

It may be the angle of the position, but the black horns on the head look a bit too short to me...I think they need to be bigger.

The nostril needs to be a bit more defined too...right now it's kind of hard to see it - I actually tried to clean off my monitor thinking it was a speck of dirt XP

The spikes off the top of the wings look kind of fat and flabby, almost as if they'd flop around and be in the way if it ever tried to fly. Maybe they should be smaller and/or match the coloring/design of the horns on the head?

My last critisism is that the tail is almost non-exixtant, and that's a pretty important feature on any type of dragon. Again, I feel this is due to the pose...perhaps drawing the tail a little longer would help. I was thinking that maybe the fatter part of the tail could be drawn so it appears behind the right wing, and then the tip could come forward at a slightly upward angle and be drawn in front of the wing. That would also possibly allow a little room for more of those nifty back/tail spikes to be shown...
