Quest-A-Thon: COMING SOON to a quest near you

Are you ready for a Quest-A-Thon? Y’all have asked for it over the past two years and it’s finally here. Well, almost.

Starting at 12:00am on Monday August 24 you will have until 11:59pm on Friday September 4 to complete 1,000,000 quests as a team!

Like always, the completing quests from the following quest givers will count towards the goal: Blue Building, Carl, Cinthia, Mori and Nori, Alexander, Maleria, Pete, Quentin, Saggitarius, Sarah, and The Wizard.

Don’t forget that regular users can complete 10 quests per quest giver and gold account users can complete 15 quests per quest giver a day. The only quest this does not apply to is Blue Building quests, which are 5 a day for everyone.

Now let’s discuss prizes! If the goal is met, participants will get the following prizes:

1 Pet Slot

Sparkles forum title

A special new Avatar Border! What are avatar borders? They are a new feature that adds something special to your avatar headshot. Future borders will be given out in all sorts of ways, so keep an eye out! As far as the quest-a-thon goes, any participant will get the Blue Sun Sparkle border. If you place in the top 100 participants, you’ll get the Gold Sun Sparkle border as well! (We expect a lot of ties, so more than 100 people might end up getting the gold Sparkle border)

I really like this new avatar border concept 😮. As someone who posts far more in news comments than in the forums my titles don't get much use. Looking forward to the Quest-a-thon.

but at the same time, if using workarounds for sarah (transferring sp to a friend, using a forum group bank...) aren't going to penalised i don't get why we can't just lift sarah's sp requirement for the event duration? especially seeing as there's an actual prize for placing in the top 100 (which let's be real is gonna be everyone who can do every single quest every day)

like idk it just feels kinda needlessly restrictive i think ;;

i personally am very happy with the pet slot for a prize, but i know there are lots of people who are not. i don't understand why we can't choose between the pet slot and CSC, for those who are more invested in the wardrobe. in order to hit the goal, as many people as possible need to participate, and driving away half the userbase with a prize they have no interest in seems counter productive...

How about making them work for the Discord, I see some pretty images there do they allow customizations from other places?

FOR ANYONE WHO NEEDS TO UNKOCK CARL:

You'll need to acquire all of the Uncharted Land Map pieces and then Turn Them In.

Here's the Blue Building Requirements .

And if you own a forum group, you can work around the sP restriction for Sarah by dumping all of your excess sP in there since we're being encouraged to find a workaround to being blocked from her. That will be safer than offering on trades and such.

I literally didn't say "remove these quests from the running" I suggested removing the requirements to have access to them so that everyone is on more equal ground. I know this game really favors giving people who already have a leg up an even bigger leg up so I really don't know why I bother.

If you don't have a GA, Uncharted Map access, Blue Building, enough sP, but also too little sP, you're not going to place at all. You'll need all of these things to place. Some of which people don't have time to access before the Quest-a-Thon starts. (EX: missing 100 posts for blue building? want to risk spamming the forums and getting a warning since they move at a snails pace...?)

And listen, I could care less about myself. I'm going to place. I have all these things... but like, how disheartening to everyone else who wasn't prepared with a chunk of csc or USD in their wallet for that GA + everything else they need access to.

In before "not all prizes should be for everyone", which I totally get, but forcing x% of your people to have a massive handicap out the gate with a "You literally cannot earn this" I personally think is crap. shrug

Not this time! Pet slot is sort of the traditional prize for each quest-a-thon. has bullied me into doing quest-a-thons more often though, so I want to feature different areas of the site with some of the future ones. This time, it's obv pet people + forum people (the title) + anyone who likes their HA (avatar borders)
