Quest-A-Thon: COMING SOON to a quest near you

Are you ready for a Quest-A-Thon? Y’all have asked for it over the past two years and it’s finally here. Well, almost.

Starting at 12:00am on Monday August 24 you will have until 11:59pm on Friday September 4 to complete 1,000,000 quests as a team!

Like always, the completing quests from the following quest givers will count towards the goal: Blue Building, Carl, Cinthia, Mori and Nori, Alexander, Maleria, Pete, Quentin, Saggitarius, Sarah, and The Wizard.

Don’t forget that regular users can complete 10 quests per quest giver and gold account users can complete 15 quests per quest giver a day. The only quest this does not apply to is Blue Building quests, which are 5 a day for everyone.

Now let’s discuss prizes! If the goal is met, participants will get the following prizes:

Sparkles forum title

A special new Avatar Border! What are avatar borders? They are a new feature that adds something special to your avatar headshot. Future borders will be given out in all sorts of ways, so keep an eye out! As far as the quest-a-thon goes, any participant will get the Blue Sun Sparkle border. If you place in the top 100 participants, you’ll get the Gold Sun Sparkle border as well! (We expect a lot of ties, so more than 100 people might end up getting the gold Sparkle border)

This sounds really fun... though I think I've already lost a lot of "rank"! While I can do all quests except Sarah, I've missed the first three days (due to inability to get online and lag). I guess all I can do is just keep doing them and see how far I can get!

How is this pay to win? You know you can buy a GA account for just sP, right? Hell, if you do your quests somewhat regularly, you'll get plenty of morty cards to buy a GA with CSC. I have like 10k CSC lying around from questing and a GA that expires in April...

Oh jesus. I love Quest-a-thons and I've been looking forward to this since I saw it mentioned somehwere on the forums, but theres an event on FR and Dappervolk right now too, and I've got a ton of work on top of that. Why do these things always have to all happen at the same time OTL

Cant do Sarah, cant do blue building. Whats the point of a top 100 if its not even fair or balanced under the players. Then yes add battle quests too.

Because a gelatin war is designed specifically for battlers. The quest-a-thon is for questing. BQs are a type of quest. Therefore, should be part of the event. Not sure what you're trying to point out exactly by being snarky in return.

What if some kind of disaster happens while we transfer our funds to do our Sarah quests and said funds disappear into the ether - will you help us get our funds back? Alternatively, wouldn't it be easier to make Sarah available to all during this quest period, so nobody gets hurt?

You can use any tools on the site available at your disposal :P That does not mean that we won't fix things like that down the road, but you won't be in trouble :)

Dunno, why do Gelly wars have no non-battle aspects? I mean, it's unfair to people who don't care about battling, it's also a sub-section of users that Subeta is missing out on.

I don't know why BQs aren't included. That's an entire sub-section of users you're missing out on. I don't do quests, they're boring. But I'll do BQs because that's where I benefit from.

when you have time, i'd love to know if "legal" work-arounds for sarah includes using a forum bank to hold your funds :0 (& maybe the could come back with an alt reward for anyone who has it already? i've seen a few people asking for how to get it, and it's been two years so it'd be nice if it was available again)

opting out comes up every time there's a quest-a-thon, i think? there's always a few people who don't want to participate, which is valid, but idk how easy it'd be to exclude them p: gelly war doesn't really work as a comparison since battling isn't a daily activity for everyone.

For those who are concerned about the quest givers that don't give out good enough rewards, without ever skipping a quest during these, I've never come out of a quest-a-thon without a lot of profit and that's not even including it being one of the few times a year I stock my shop and autoprice instead of fragmentizing. Something's gone very wrong if you lose sP doing this.

Whoo hoo! I haven't been active much on the site this year but I'm really excited for this!

Maybe I missed it before, but this is the first time I've seen people asking to be able to opt out of having their quests contribute to the total. As others have pointed out, you literally don't have to use anything you win. Are we going to see people asking for this in the next slime war too?

I have to be honest and say that moving all of my SPs into a forum account just to play Sarah's quests makes me a little nervous. It would be my luck that something would glitch and I'd be out all of my SPs. I hope there's a different option available.

Regardless, I'm here for quests! It will be fun. :)

The NPC Drunk Carl is in the Omen Islands. To access this part of the map you need to complete the Uncharted Land Map Piece 1-9 by turning them in at the game Treasure Maps in the game room. These pieces have gotten pricey if you buy them from other users, to about 2.7MsP total. You can get them free from Random Events. but this is a drawn out slow process and you won't get them all by the time the Quest A Thon is over.

You have to complete the Uncharted Map to unlock Carl :)

Also, guys, I would NOT AT ALL put your money in a forums group. None of the Staff SPECIFICALLY STATED that that specific workaround is okay, and people have had their accounts frozen for doing that exact thing (and please note that Staff has NOT gone through and un-frozen these accounts since now what was considered "cheating" is now okay).

Also since I find it a particular kind of BS to ensure that blue users can't win without buying a Gold Account, I'll be doing a giveaway on the forums for some 1 week accounts. This should be a fun event for people WITH AN EQUAL CHANCE FOR ALL, not one where they're left out because they can't recruit safe friends to trust their SP with, or because they don't have the IRL funds to buy Gold with.

We already had to have the "equality" conversation last Morostide with Staff because a good number of users were unable to "fully complete" the quest due to the disability-inaccessible puzzle full of flashing lights and we got a very poor response in return. If "you can't win this part of the Subeta game if you're not a perfectly abled adult with a paying job and spare funds to spend on Gold accounts" is going to become a theme around here...

I have a question, since there's now going to be a ranking for who does how many quests, will this be public? As in, can we see how we are doing as compared to others? Cause I think that would be neat and it's going to be tracked anyway, so.... pretty please? ^^

I don't think there is a limit, I've not encountered one. However, I don't know how the system will react to transferring lots of sP at a time; does it work like items? Because if it does, you might.... Lose sP during a transfer. I don't know if this is the case....
