Just a friendly notice that the underground will be closing Thursday evening! This will include floating items and candy hearts as well.
Update: Zombies will continue to have access to their respective year(s)!

rather disappointed at how uneventful this one was... It stunk that there were no zombies, but I was hoping for a bit of something... Eh. Maybe Vesnali will have a plot.
thanks for the heads up! admittedly, i'm a tad disappointed that there were no zombies, as i actually planned to take part in the event this year, but i do like the change of pace. thank you to the artists, the new pets are so adorable!!
i agree that they probably have something awesome planned for later on.
Thanks for all the lovely clothes and pets, artists. :) I came back to subeta just to collect them all!
I would LOVE to see your perfect business where customers dont have entitlement and how long it last 2 years maybe 3 years before you go under
Just a warning: people who throw around the "entitlement" argument are trolling. I've seen this way too many times by the same users over and over. DO NOT FEED THEM.
Just ignore them and carry on. There is really no reason to be complaining that much over one event anyways, Subeta probably has something amazing planned later on.
I'm not sure how that statement you just quoted was assuming anything. Users pay the site money, the money pays the people you described. No assumptions necessary.
This, however, is full of assumptions. You assume that always only the vocal users decide that the site has displeased them in a way that makes them not want to donate anymore. So only the vocal users? Anyone who never speaks up about whether or not they liked/disliked something keeps paying no matter what because you can only not buy CSC ever again if you come out and say something about it? And gosh, those vocal people are just so weak-willed that they all give in again when the new collection comes out? This is clearly truth because we are assuming now that the majority of users are aware of this. Wait...is that majority of vocal users or users in general?
Considering I stopped paying the site long before I became vocal about my displeasure and, gee...haven't payed it a cent again since and have only in the past few months become "publicly vocal" about it because now it's getting to the point where I'm considering leaving the site, and NOT recommending it to others because of things like this event...I'm pretty sure your assumptions here are incorrect.

The event was fine that is not what i am complaining about, the idea that if you are a customer (paying or not) you HAVE A RIGHT to have a say in what happens if the BUSINESS wants to succeed
You assume that everyone onsite hated the event. But, the majority of users are more than aware that it's always a vocal part of the site that is saying that they will never buy CSC again...until the next collection come out, that is.
The lack of zombie surprised everyone and was a good thing because zombies aren't a thing that should be expected. They were taken for granted and I personally applaud staff for deciding to do something else aka, having the Survival Memorial event be actually about SURVIVAL and not more zombies.
Someone needs to remember that they've tossed out the "customer first" and "spending money" arguments many times before.
Regardless, something can be different and displeasing to someone. There's such a thing as hating change, but also just not liking what something was changed into. Just because you're pro the change doesn't mean you're on the right side of the argument automatically.
Okay, so Subeta is going to go bankrupt because they decided that having a zombie apocalypse every year was silly and decided not to make one for the fifth year in a row?

I'm sorry, where are you supposing that money to pay them comes from?
Many thanks for the heads up and for the event this year. No, it wasn't the same as in years past. I liked it though. :) It was a nice change. Adore the new pet color. <3 Lovely new items too. So many thanks to all who made this possible. I know, quite well, how much time goes into planning and making an event happen. It isn't overnight and I'm sure you all worked very hard on this. Thank you all. :D
I wish they would've just confirmed or denied if there was going to be new strains or not.
Let me state something right now, I do not give a crap about site events i hardly play any more, this is not a discussion on if the event was good or not or if I liked it or not. If the majority of users did not like it - payed users or not. Then subeta as a company has to change something. as a business, as a company when a majority of users dislike something then you either can change or go under.
Pffft! This is probably one of the most ridiculous things I've seen said here. When I pay money to the site (subscribe) it is for a lot more than just items. There ARE items that you can purchase with said donation/cash...but that is not the only thing that my RL money goes to for the site. And it is certainly not the only thing one should expect from it. While I may not agree that paying money to the site gives one a 100% say in things that happen, it is certainly not just for items. Unless of course I am on ebay or some such site where I am literally buying an item to be sent to me. I just...no.
Most boring event ever.. I hope this isn't a sign of things to come, cause if clicking around like crazy is all we're supposed to do from now on then I'm gonna lose interest pretty soon =(
:/ I've been waiting since I joined to experience the zombie pandemic since I'm a fanatic. Its really disappointing, especially since its my first year. Was really hoping for some zombies.
Apart from the new pet colour, there was nothing special about this event. It used to be one of the most exciting events in Subeta and it was reduced to candy hearts and repetitive kissing. Fun.
Major props to the artists though for the sweetheart colours.
I guess there aren't any restocking. I just watched three restocks with no Survival Flowers. Why is this?
To those saying Subeta should do what you want because you're a customer and you pay money- Not everyone on this site pays money. In it's early years, I don't believe it had options to buy anything to support the site, and it still ran. If you do spend money on CSC, you GET something. You get a "product", your CSC to buy an item, a Gold Account which offers you bonus features, etc. There is no item you can buy that says "you now get a say in site development/features/events." If they were messing up something related to where your CSC is spent, or anything directly related to that, then it's perfectly fine to complain on that front. Yet you are complaining about something that is a completely free (irl money wise) feature of the site.
I believe that for the most part subeta takes our feedback into consideration when they do things. However I also believe that we should have slight changes to the events every year so they don't stagnate. Yes it is Pandemic, but it is ALSO technically a Valentine's Day event. Pandemic may not be something that goes on forever, Valentine's Day is a calendar date irl holiday and much more likely to be continued. I looked forward to new strains just to see what would happen, and a plot continuation could've been nice, but this is just one event, just the beginning of the year. We have no idea what's in store for the remainder.
Users are not entitled to dictate the way events are run on site.
If we leave the userbase to dictate what to do, nothing would get done. Nothing. There are people that are paid to design events. You have the choice to go and keep supporting the site, but just because you spend real money does not give you the right to tell the worker what to do with it.
Just because you bought an iPad doesn't give you the right to decide what Apple should focus on in the future.
You do not have to spend a single penny to play Subeta. Buying from the cash shop is optional. So, you are a player, but you do not have to be a customer.
Things are changing. We moved from real world holidays to four years of zombies and now, staff decided to try something else. It doesn't suck, it's just different.
Can you up the restock amount of the flowers in Seedlings? There are barely any restocking. Last year there were a lot. I would DIE if I didn't get that finished this year
Well then. :I
Kind of disappointed at how boring this year was.
Kind of hoping there's more but considering it's almost March, it probably won't happen. ;__;
If anything, I hope the Parlor stays open like the Vesnali shop. :c
hey, all I gotta say is that I'm glad things were changed up a bit this year and didn't follow the usual formula as it has been. I know that a lot of people look forward to the zombie strands but I say that I am extremely happy about the new pet color - something that will stay with me onward unlike the zombie skins which I cure myself of right after the event ends. And of course I love collecting wearables. So thank you Subeta staff!
I like zombies as much as the next person, but I personally enjoy that Subeta changes up its events each year so that things don't get too routine, too stagnant... THAT'S part of providing a good product, too.
I wwwooouuulllddd like to know if the L'Amour Parlor is going to stay open after Thursday, because I want to know if I need to have bought everything before the event closes or just hoard hearts til the last minute, you know?...
I was hoping to become a zombie during this event and to stay that way for a long time. This event has changed too much for me but it's okay.
I sort of wish there had been something last year that indicated we wouldn't be getting a new zombie strain this year. I cured back then, but now I won't be able to get any strain ever again.
I actually enjoyed this event. It took away my inability to decide whether or not to keep my deer or switch to zombie! Yay for not having to make decisions! :D
All in all I thought it was different, simple, and although there wasn't a plot I did have fun collecting hearts and flowers. I'm also hoping for some last minute sweetheart pet colors to be released. >:-D
Suebta is a business you are completely insane if you think that is how a business is ran, like you must only shop at wal mart and thrift stores if you think customers have no say in what goes on. I personally work for best buy and the bast 3 weeks i have been in training ( company paid for) explaining what we have changed as a company and are going to change because of customer comments. Subeta is no different. Subeta is a business and that means if we dont pay for CSC they have no money and have to find jobs else where. If we the consumer are not happy then they need to fix it. Period.
It's nice that you're letting us know, probably could have said something about the lack of a real event in the first place, but thanks for giving a deadline to finish kissing...
Do zombies have continued access to the entire underground after Thursday, or only the Zombie Den shop?
Do zombies have continued access to the entire underground after Thursday, or only the Zombie Den shop?
Thanks for the heads up guys!
I enjoyed the new items and the new pet color is super cute. Found it hilarious that the one year I was finally ready to take the zombie plunge, there were none - but I'm not in the least bit put out. Never has quite been my thing. Can't wait for the next event!
When you pay for CSC, you don't pay to get a say about how events should be run. You get items. This is what you get.
That's kinda crap since there wasn't any new zombies. People didn't even get the chance to keep access to the underground.
Actually I always thought that this event was suppose to be a memorial to those who died in the first pandemic. The fact that we got new zombies again in the three years is because the users pretty much "demanded" and expected them. I kept wondering if we would ever get past the zombies every year and move on. Maybe one year everyone can live (or unlive) in peace together and the underground will fully open up to all.
Will the L'amour Parlor will close?
Staff...you knew that SO many people on this site were the most excited for the new viruses. Why didn't you cater to that? We are your paying customers. We deserve to have you listen to what we are wanting. This was a poor excuse for an event.
While I'm a little disappointed (I was really excited about this being my first Pandemic and getting zombie skins, etc.) I guess it was a good event all in all. I like the new pets and new items. Except now I have 1000-ish candy hearts and I'm not really sure what to do with them :/ I feel like they were almost too easy to get.
I loved the new items and the Sweetheart pets, though I was holding out hope that the zombies might make a comeback towards the end of the event. I don't mind a year with no new zombie strains, but I hope this doesn't mean that the zombies are gone for good. I was really looking forward to becoming a zombie and having year-round access to the underground.
just putting my 2 cents in..for people saying, those of us upset over no new strains or plot, are wrong..what do you think this event is about? pandemic..means zombies, not all lovey heart stuff..even though the new pets are nice..just saying : /
Will the L'amour Parlor will close?
The new colour was a nice change of pace, and the L'amour Parlor was a nice addition with lovely new items. Still holding out hope that they release it for a pet species i enjoy like popoko or irion XD Otherwise these candy hearts will rot. I'm sure many have asked before me but it would be nice to know if the L'amour Parlor will remain open like the masquerade/vesnali shops after the event finally finishes!
I appreciate what the staff put together for us. Though i do hope the zombies come back next year. This is my favourite even, so i like many others was disappointed to see them gone.
Will the L'amour Parlor will close?
I enjoyed this event, even though it was not what I was expecting. The new pet colour is amazing, and finally a better use for those candy hearts! I really like how you guys are changing up the events this year. I'm excited for what's to come.
I also wanted to thank you guys for this event, yes we didn't get a plot and zombies, but it sure has been a nice change and the pet and new items have been so nice!
Now, I will be waiting news about if the Parlour close and if old zombies will still have access to the 2013 items!
The new pets were indeed lovely - I just didn't really consider this an event. Kissing, I suppose, was the event. Oh darn, I sure will miss that I guess. I'm looking forward to more sweetheart pets, and I, like many people, was bummed about the lack of zombie skins, but still. Not quite cutting it as an event in my opinion.
......People are being incredibly disrespectful to the staff of this site. Really... Yes, it was a quieter time this year, and the event was not entirely to my taste, but the new pet colour is adorable, if they do a hikei, I am there. That said. Where do some of you get off whining that way? You should be incredibly grateful that they have been so generous with all the new wears and goodies, and a NEW PET COLOUR. Free stuff, stuff you could earn with kisses and candy hearts. There was a lot of fun, in spite of the disappointment of no zombies. I was disappointed, but you know what, I got over it, because the generosity of this site staff is incredible, and all some of you are doing is being spoiled brats about it.
I myself am going to say THANK YOU SUBETA STAFF, for a nice event, and all the wonderful treats you have provided. People don't seem to realize how hard these people work to make this a good site for everyone, and the ingratitude is appalling, some should stop while they are ahead.
