I'm giving up on this whole Bird Watching thing. Not much fun if one has to ask to borrow certain birds just to complete the quests.
I know the admins and all are busy and I truly get that but if this has been a long known issue I think it would be helpful if it was rectified. Maybe next year it will be ironed out.
Cigarettes are just like squirrels; perfectly harmlesss...until you put one in your mouth and light it on fire!

I am glad I am not the only one who has arrived at that conclusion; i don't know how long this Bird Watching Event lasts but considering the issues others have experienced I will wait for the next years event.

Yea ur not alone my giving up post was on the 28th in this forum I'm waiting for next year too and that's if it's fixed no since borrowing or using the bird you have just to get another unfound bird

I wonder why only the area specific birds are affected? General birds aren't but birds like the Veta Plover can't be found in Veta or...anywhere. Weird really.

just like the bird Darkside Kite can't be found anywhere in Darkside or elsewhere it is weird I agree

First bird I was given to find is Centropolis Pigeon. Have tried a couple different times on a couple different days to find it and have not, and it is over 4mil sP to purchase. I'd rather not buy the bird I need in order to progress the game but it looks like that's my only option?
Borrowing is also an option. It doesn’t get consumed after you show it to Rosemary. Let me know if you want a lend!

I've been having problems finding the region-specific birds too. I've just been pulling them from my vault.
Oh good, it's not just me! I've had problems finding a Omen Islands Gannet today.
I have to say I'm a little shocked that the bird watching bug wasn't addressed and now it's been taken away.

Hi, everyone! I'm eventing everyone who has posted here so you can get a bit of an update as well as a chance to release some of the frustration you've had over bird watching!
I'm so sorry I didn't reply here. I honestly thought I did when I was working with to try to recreate some of the issues y'all were having.
This is not the end of bird watching this year. I'm going to sit down with soon to figure out why the regional birds weren't popping up along with some of the newer bird friends. Generally, in the past, users could just grab a bird from user shops if it never popped up around the site for them and show it to the NPC for the quest.
That wasn't working, from what I've read here / been told in various places / discussed with . Even when people would only use one window so the bird wouldn't be overwritten in another (like with floating pumpkins/flowers/etc), birds still didn't show. Even using the custom code to make floaters pop up in the corner instead of having to scroll and hope to spot bird.
While I recently left one of my jobs, my other non-subeta job had some very serious deadlines this past week (hello Jewish holidays coming up soon!!!), so I couldn't sit down and devote a lot of time to for birds undisturbed.
Once we determine why the birds were being rude and make the necessary adjustments, I will bring them back. We'll also look at bug catching, too, to make sure nothing funky will happen there.
Feel free to ping me with any concerns, even if it's to stress something that's been discussed on this thread already (frustration with lack of communication, why hasn't achievement been updated all these years, etc etc etc). Angry? Sure. Totally get that. Let it out! I won't get upset if y'all vent at me, as long as you remain respectful to me and other users.
