4th time I do not get to participate. Looking for a Shadowglen Dove, again. Even though I knew it was a waste of my time, I still refreshed 100 times in Shadowglen. So disappointed.

Who are we supposed to start pinging when (timed) seasonal events don't work and there's no staff response for over a week in the reporting forum?

Here is what I do if the Bird Watcher asks for any bird that cannot be found, if I have said bird either in my vault or in my minion zoo I get the bird out and use it to let her know I found one and then depending on where I got said bird from either vault or minion zoo, I put bird back until next time if needed and so far it has worked for me, I was able to move on unto to next day. I hope this info helps anyone that is frustrated with what is happening with the Bird Watching event. Also if I don't have said bird and if I can find it in a players shop somewhere through search and can afford it I will buy it and use it with the bird watcher and it works as well, at least it has for me anyway so far.

You can also borrow the birds from other users! Many of us are happy to lend them out while we wait for this bug to be fixed.

Yeah, I've got another request for a region-specific bird and I'm going to give up until this bug is addressed. If it can't be fixed, maybe the region-specific birds should just "migrate" into the non-specific pool so we can catch them anywhere.

I absolutely agree with this. Every other event, and to be honest, Masquerade comes to mind with the bugged dancing features at first; we've had very prompt responses in light of those events. I find it frustrating that no one on staff has even acknowledged anything about it.

Even if they didn't have a fix or know what to do, a simple "Hey, we understand the frustration. We're aware of the issue." would mitigate a lot of the negative feelings surrounding what should be a fun event/game. With bird watching reopening back on Aug 8th, I feel like it's been more than long enough to address that it's clearly bugged.

I actually remember experiencing this same dang issue last year, and just ignoring Bird Watching after getting a region-specific bird on Day 2.

I'll be honest, I took a 10-year hiatus and just came back around October of last year, so I'd missed a -lot- of events LOL. I wasn't aware it was this way last year too.

I'm stuck with one of the regional ones and have just lost interest at this point. I know it's possible to finish due to the kindness of so many users who have the birds and are willing to loan them, but I want to be able to get these on my own as originally intended. (Still wish we could just hear -anything- about it from staff...)

Regional birds broken for me as well. I'm using ones I have from previous years but that means you don't get more birds as prizes :(

Yes I forgot to add that particular part about borrowing birds from other players Jess and yes if I have a bird that anyone needs to borrow I will be more than happy to lend them to anyone that needs them if they want, that is if I am on-line on the site at the time. Most of the Regional birds I have are residing in my Vault at the moment and even in my minion zoo as well. Although I don't get on the Forums much to know if anyone needs or wants a bird sent to them that I may have, but if anyone needs a bird that I may have just S Mail me, that way I will get the message and if I am on-line on the site at the time I will be more than happy to send the bird to you if I have it that is. Hopefully this bug will soon be fixed but I know bird watching ends on the 31st and if it isn't fixed by then maybe if they have it next year it will be fixed, who knows. I just had to pull the Omen Islands Gannet out of my zoo to finish the quest. It's selling for over 16 mill even tho it's been out for years. So yeah, there's definitely a problem... Maybe we're only supposed to get the new ones? Thank goodness none of those have a place in their name.

I am in a similar situation only for me it is the Darkside Kite; been clicking everywhere and even hung out in Darkside and did multiple refreshes out that silly bird ain't coming out.

Sometimes the birds are forthcoming but some types like to just stay hiding :)

To answer your questions:

1. This is the first year of bird watching for me. I don't think it was available last year
2. N/A, but, for argument's sake, if I have some sort of amnesia and bird watching was available last year and I participated, I would most definitely have put any and all unique minions in my zoo, and I do not have the sacred lands quail.
3. I specifically only do one page load at a time when searching so that a floater in one tab is not invalidated by another.

Though, it's possible a floater showed up somewhere I couldn't see and I missed it (I've come across some from other events that are barely/not in view). Does that constitute as "once per account"? As in: once it shows up as a floater, even if you don't click it then, that's it, it won't show up ever again?

EDIT: I didn't mention, but for this bird, I only looked in Sacred Lands, even the shops, etc that are considered part of it.

3. Going to the pages one at a time. I went to Darkside, refreshed 20+ times, tried clicking individual pages (apothecary, bhh, etc), refreshed 100+ times total. The non-regional birds would show up in less than 10+ clicks so I figured something's wrong. Checked forums and the news post, saw others having this issue. Gave up for the day and tried again the next day, to no avail. Decided to buy that bird to progress the quest. Two days later, I got Riverside Wren and refreshed at Riverside maybe 200+ times over the span of a few days before giving up on the event. Now I check Bird Watching once per day to see if she has given a new bird but no changes over the past 10 days.

These are the requests I've had: Blue Jay (found) Brown Thrasher (found) Darkside Kite (could not find, purchased from user shop) Ruby Crowned Kinglet (found) Riverside Wren (could not find, current quest)
