I admit I like Rumi asking for computer items and not just stickers. Ever since Computer Quests went the way of the dinosaurs (and I don't think you can build PCs anymore), it adds another use for them.
ETA: Also Maybel asked me for Shytake all 3 times.
Rumi asked me for an item that was in user shops for 2.5m (I believe) but it was much less expensive in official shops and happened to be in stock. She rewarded me with 3m + which seems to have been based on the user shops price? Just info in case that's not how you want it to work lol
Receiving this message (consistently) when attempting Miss Maybel's quest:
"Error choosing quest items. This means the pool can't provide any items for this quest, try again in a few minutes."
Saggi asking for the same milliom dollar item all three times.
Maybel error: Error choosing quest items. This means the pool can't provide any items for this quest, try again in a few minutes.
Error chosing quest items. This means the pool can't provide any items for this quest, try again in a few minuites.
I just want to chime in and say I really do like how the new quests are set up. The ability to buy the items quickly from one screen is very helpful. I actually don't mind that there are less quests for each NPC, regular questing can be tedious currently. I also think the reputation system is a cool idea.
That said, I've noticed that sometimes the quests givers ask for the same items multiple times. Tonight Saggi asked for for all three quests. I was able to buy the first for 50000, but now there is only one left in user shops for a high price. I'm wondering if he's asking everyone for them and that's why?
I also am receiving the "Error choosing quest items. This means the pool can't provide any items for this quest, try again in a few minutes." when trying to do Maybel's quests, as previously mentioned.
I personally think the useful Pylonics shouldn't be requested so frequently. Saggi asked me for Regenerating Pylonics each time as well, but I prefer to use them for battling.
In addition, other quest givers asked for repeat items.

It looks like Rumi was asking everyone for the same items, too.
This thread: ">https://subeta.net/forums.php/read/939472/Rumi-asking-for-an-item-that-doesnt-restock/1/ gives me the idea that it wasn't just me, but everyone, who was asked by Rumi for the black monitor etc.
This is causing the items to be unbuyable or extremely expensive for the quests. Though locked that thread as not a bug, I think it is still indicative of a bug even if itself it isn't one: the randomness of what is being asked for isn't working right, not at all. Asking for the same thing so many times that it runs out in user shops isn't an odd thing, it's happening more often than not, in the new Kumos site quests.
I admit to just skimming through the thread since 18 pages is a lot to take in and I only just found out this exists, but... gonna be honest and say I don't understand why quests are being overhauled so dramatically? What's wrong with how they are right now?
Like many have said, I enjoy zoning out to a podcast or what-have-you while I do my quests, I'd be sad to see that go if the quest amount was reduced significantly. That's one of my favourite parts of the site and the main way I make sP, less quests would make me spend much less time on Subeta. (I'll admit I haven't been doing them so much lately but that's due to personal lack of time, not dislike for the system :p) I don't understand why QP are being swapped out for sP either?
I also don't like how "too easy" the new system is. I can understand wanting to speed things up a bit and reduce the amount of clicking users have to do, but this is a bit too far IMO.
And wait why is it a problem if people store up currency? I LIKE having a hoard of currencies - I try to have one - so that if I don't have time to do an event one year, I don't have to stress and worry about how I can afford all the pretty new items.
Also not thrilled at the thought of not being able to get an item because I don't have enough rep, when right now you can buy whatever you want as long as you have enough points...
I just... I dunno what to say, this feels like it's come out of nowhere and I genuinely don't understand why it's even being considered? There's no real problem with the system as it is so why change it.
Not sure what else to say without just repeating what others have said (and have phrased far better than I could!) but I have to be honest, I'm really not a fan of this at all :/
edit:
My thoughts exactly.
I had the same issue with Miss Maybel. Also ran into the same thing that said about Rumi. Like also mentioned above by Saggi also asked for the pylonic every time.
Overall I like this new system so far, especially being able to buy items quickly from the quest page with one click or use from inventory/vault. Reputation is a fun idea to give us more of an incentive to quest so we can unlock more tiers from the quest shops, etc. I do wish we could do more than just 3 quests though, like the old system.
edit/ gosh i don't know why it posted my reply three times 😭mod if you see this can you delete the extras, thank you ❤️
My general opinion of this whole thing is... bad? The main reason I have my GA for and spend $$ is because of quests and the autopricer (to sell items to people for quests). I adore hoarding all my currencies so I can spend it all on gifts at Lumi time. And I really don't see why quests need such a massive overhaul anyway..? Especially when the wording in the news post comments is that nothing is set in stone and this is testing, but everything reads as this is going to be happening no matter what and a LOT of people just got blindsided by something so massive I think it should've been made more publicly mentioned in the first place.
I can understand and appreciate the new system, and that for some people it will be better, but economy wise... I don't really see it being a good thing. Especially with the concept of random quest givers cycling in or whatever. Especially with the reputation thing locking us out of stuff that has already always been regularly available to us. It just reminds me of games in Early Access suddenly locking stuff they were testing behind DLC paywalls in full release.
Could it not combine the two systems? Could it not keep the current quests, and then introduce some new quest NPCs for a cycling daily with their reputation system, maybe give GAs an extra daily NPC. Maybe if you want to expand on the existing NPCs, make it a bonus x amount of quests for that NPC. With so many other things to work on, I just really don't see the point in messing with a system that has been fine and a staple of an economy for so long. That's what silicon valley CEOs do.
• Maleria asked me three times for Regenerating Pylonic • Rumi asking for computer stuff • MissMabel problem here, too
Also getting the Mabel error message.
I don't know why doing 3 quests feels slower than doing 15 but somehow it does. I've been doing quest testing for a bit and thought the slow was from lag but now it isn't lagging but still feels like a long time to do each quest. Maybe because I'm turning down so many quests since the items asked for aren't available at a reasonable price.
I hate I can't see the user shops price and shop price every quest. This means I can't do my low stress restocking like I've been doing for years while questing. The quest points going away is a bummer since buying all the books for my 60+ battle pets is a main reason I quest.
I admit to not doing every quest every day. Especially when there is a battle related event or I'm just enjoying battling reset challengers. That said, there are a lot of days I do all the quests. I'll miss all that questing when the new system becomes the only system.
I've been trying to wade through 18 pages to see when these quests reset. Is it 24 hours from the time of the last quest? If so, can this be changed to reset at the start of a new Subeta day like the other quests?
They are manually reset - sometimes multiple times in a day, sometimes once a week. Usually once every few days or so. I do them as soon as I'm around after they come out.
Thanks
Rumi asked me for a Green Floppy Disk which doesn't exist in any shops anywhere on the site at the moment of writing this. Unsure if it's because she asks for the same items every time or if it's some other bug, but it seems like an oversight to allow any of the quest givers to ask for tiems that have zero percent access on the site.
As it stands, this isn't the best testing environment, I see a lot of people having the same issue where the quest givers ask for the same 1-3 items over and over again and this leads to (what I've seen others mention) weird price influxes on items because people realize that without these items, no one can finish the quests on the kumos site. I know that probably wasn't the intention but obviously there's people who'd rather make a quick buck or two than to let it be. (No shade, get that bag but you get my point).
The change from quest points to sp does feel like a slap in the face for users in general, both old and new. It feels like older users who have been questing all this time and saving points for their items are being shown that the efforts don't matter anymore, and it shows newer users that the focus is on sp and not enjoying the quests to gain the currency. While I personally enjoy the idea of being able to see if it's an item i own in multiple locations, as well as choosing options for the shops in the quest menu, I echo sentiments above that it does kind of suck not having the quicker access to seeing other shop prices without having to have another tab open to search for the items instead. I think having a button to let us search shops and also having the option to move it from our vaults/stores/etc might be a better compromise in this situation.
I know that with this being something new there's going to be things ironed out eventually, but this is just my two cents on the matters at hand.
