RIP Mom, I love & miss you more than you know. Tell Dede hi.
Ocean Conservation Namibia on YouTube... they do good work! https://www.ocnamibia.org
Currency.Kumos works I hesitantly tried one of Rumi's quests: The "hover" info when clicking the items on the bottom doesn't go away after purchase, I needed to refresh the page in order to be able to click the next item, rinse and repeat for 3rd - I guess this is a bug and not intentional. So I had all 3 items in my invy and searched for the "Complete quest" button. Eventually found it at the top, greyed out with a clickable red "Give up" button. A while later I detected the 3 "turn in item" buttons at the top to its leftt with the "where to get choices" - and it dawned upon me, that something about them had been mentioned here yesterday. Got the funny confetties and finally could complete the quest. I agree with others, if confetties only at fulfillment of quest - or even only, when all quests of that NPC have been comleted? It's a nice surprise now, but will get old eventually, rofl. Now that I know, it'll be a tad faster to complete.
Quest completion details I find completely unnecessary, if people like them, they would be better placed at the end of the page.
Keith, why are you so intent on keeping the lines/boxes so far apart?
Big space under the available quests scroll bar Quest completion details Big space huge repetition of Rumis dialogue (why? feels completely random, we got that at beginning of quest) Big space repeating the clickable items without name (so you HAVE to click them in order to know, what they are called instead of merely hovering) turned in - which is completely needless, anyway. Big space Only now, instead at the top of the page a huge heading "Rewards Received", next line "points" - what for?, space, next line in an orange box, much too big xxxxxsP, space, "items" - what for?, space, the item pictures, again with no names, I have to again click to know, what they are and then I have to click details to find out their main shop price on the Kumos page, which only lists a lousy 5 user shops. No hover is no way to get things done fast. I'm repetative, but the way the layout is on legacy is clear and short. Any improvements should work from there on, not produce a fresh huge cloud of whipped cream we have to dig through to finally find the cake.
The initial plan was to improve speed and ease access, this defeats it completely.
More so for me, if I further on will have to work on a different browser, which I gave up for speed's sake.
New user shop listing: Huge font, Huge spaces,5 shops in the area we have 9 now, on legacy we can scroll down (which is only necessary, if someone wants to check the price development) for 30 shops . What does "Available From 14" mean?
I know, this is a testing area, work in progress, this thread is meant for evaluation and thoughts, so this is, how I feel about the design now. And I'm sacrificing a lot of both my Subeta and free time to do the testing quests and writing up.
I still can't quest on Kumos. I think most, if not all, of the Kumos site is not working.
reporting as requested, it's been like this for at least a few days...
Back for more testing, after I figured out the page in the morning. The top bar with items and choices how to get them doesn't scale well. I had to stretch my half screen size window (which I normally use, or even less) to almost full monitor width in order to even see the top row items and use the icons underneath. Shop search took me to a long user shop list, however did not display the NPC shop, which had the quest item in stock. I only noticed, because I wasn't sure, if I had bought one yet, account searched (led me to legacy window) and from there went to SS, which was legacy and displayed the NPC shop.
Clicking those top bar items for "hover"info doesn't disappear unmless page is refreshed, just as with the items at the bottom. Actually now I cannot click on the second item - doesn't respond (even if full screen). I even tried turning in the first and refreshing multiple times, then I used the item at the bottom, to get it and be able to finish the quest.
Next quest - the second item, Common Six-Shooter once more, again remained unclickable on top.
As somebody mentioned yesterday, the top items "hover" is partly placed underneath the other item(s). With a little window sizing I got to see enough of it to be able to click SS.
4th quest - again the Common Six-Shooter, this time item , clicking works, so it's not the shooter, it's being the 2nd top row item that prevents being clickable.
By quest I new, what to do - these 5 quests took me 26 minutes - of course with trial and errors and writing. But it remains tedious, rofl.
I got the message that the quest was resetting, but i am getting an error:

I haven't been able to use Kumos in a few days or be able to purchase csc (there was another link to buy csc, so that's what I used):

Lag city.
I take back everything I ever said about wanting quests to feel "questy" or whatever. If pages are going to take this long to load, I want the one-click-and-done quests back lol
Yes, it was lagging a bit more. The reset event caught me by surprise - hardly anyone had quested, I did not finish all of mine, because I still had things to finish up on legacy and it takes far too long to do the Kumos ones. Keith hadn't even dropped a line since the downtime yesterday.
One issue with the current iteration is that completing quests back to back is now more tedious. In the older iterations, you could easily accept another quest after completing one, but with the new system it seems to redirect the user to the completion history entry of the completed quest. Although this new method allows the user to see the items they had acquired from completing a quest, it makes the user unable to accept new quests as easily as before.
Whatever you guys did to the Kumos site quests? I hate. The new setup makes it IMPOSSIBLE to do more quests as easily as it had been even yesterday! That, and the new layout is VERY confusing (especially when compared with the previous layout -- which frankly was MUCH more user-friendly).
I was working on Maybel's quests and when I hit an arrow to what I thought was going to expand the window to make it easier to look at? It archived the quest, and I couldn't figure out how to fix it and then finish the quest.... That was BEFORE the Kumos site went down and is now saying: 503 Service Unavailable. As a result, I don't know if I'm going to be able to finish the quest that I started. Which I REALLY do not like!
PLEASE go back to the previous setup!!
Today's changes are whoa. Can we at least get shop search buttons added next to each item? Having to hover and then ctrl + click the shop search on the hover is clunky and nobody got time for copy/paste.
I don't really have a complaint about the changes to turning in items, it's fine. But idk how realistic it is that we're all going to be opening new tabs and windows to search for quest items when the site is having the issues that it's having.
I didn't see what the quests were like before Kumos went down but like Smudge said the new set up it's very friendly. It's so laggy too, I can't load the pages to buy the items. it's taking a while to even buy the items when the page loads too. I don't like it going straight ti the history either. I prefered the previous system to this, I don't mind the searching the shop list like legacy quest but I do prefer the previous quest completion pages

And I ended up running out of time on that quest (Maybel's quest ) because of both the downtime and the continued lag! Not cool. Especially because I don't typically run out of time on quests. grumpy
ETA: I managed to get Maybel's quest done, but it was still very difficult to do with the layout and the lag. I think I'm just going to wait on doing the rest of the quests until the lag has disappeared, so that at least I have a chance of getting things done in a timely fashion. Whenever that is.
Ok I'm getting more used to this. Hmm... is it a header? And it stays there until you finish it? Interesting. I like that.
And OH I SEE there's a search at the very top. That's kinda confusing but I see what you did there. So it's really like a quest hub almost, the header. That's kinda neato. Now that I get it XD
A "Complete Quest" button should be accessible at all times. I don't have time to refresh, manually submit each item, then hit "complete quest". Please add a "Complete Quest" button that I can click at any time.

I'm not sure if I even got through one of Pete's quests. I like the way quests were set up before you added the + 2 quests for the GAs. Quests didn't take that much time. I could click on the item and look it up in user shops for myself if I want to. It was a lot faster then.
I don't like the way they are set up now.
