Ugh. Well, I guess if it isn't as bad as yesterday, I'll wait it out. I was pretty worried b/c I thought that if I had to go to the ER, I might actually have to call an ambulance, since I have no one to drive me. I guess I could've walked to my neighbors right next to me - big maybe on that (walking) - but that would've been embarrassing, even though we're on really good terms and I'm comfortable with them.
Pretty scary to go through, I'll admit. One of the worst feelings I've EVER experienced.
Was there anything you thought was the cause of the onset of it?

Nothing I can remember (it was 6yrs ago). I just remember feeling really dizzy, thought I'd lay down, the room spinning around me when I did. It got worse and worse when I moved. I remember dragging myself down the hall, using the wall to hold me up I was so dizzy/spinning. It was a weird spinning too because even though I knew I was being still I could literally see the walls moving. Ugh. I think Shane drove me to the ER? If not Shane it would have been Ryan.
I get vertigo pretty often, since it comes with my ear infections. It's especially weird when you're just.. sitting down, doing nothing, and you get dizzy and the room starts spinning.
Bear is back again already, I thought I still had a few weeks. Time to take the feeders down. :( I need to get Alex to try and fix the hanger first though. And my new cat shaped feeder!
Aww for the bear coming already. Ryan took his bird feeder over to his house, and bought more feeders/food and hung it all up (its a metal base, Katie got for him for Christmas two years ago and can hold like 6 types of feeders). He's been sending me pictures. He's had some really pretty birds!! Some golden finch (I think?), some little brown birds, and this really pretty red/white one. No clue what it is. And he's had woodpeckers. The squirrels are avoiding his squirrel feeder tho lol
Edit 835pm Ok weirrrrd. My power went out. I went and talked to the neighbor for like 20-30min and by the time I walked back to my house the power company is in my yard. I didn't even call them yet!! I was looking up the number. Neither of my neighbors power is out. Just mine. Edit: they had it fixed in about 45mins. They had to replace the transformer thingy by my house. The one by the road was ok. It was apparently just ME! :P Weird. I still have no idea how they knew my power was out.
Edit: Wed 3/29 612am BTW I forgot to say I got the Edward achievement, for buying Edward from the crystal shop last night :D
EDIT: 403pm Soooo what fun I just had. Spent what felt like half my day at school writing names on eggs (whole group, naptime) lol Right now everyone has 17 eggs each (22 kids=374 eggs!). I had to get 2 from my house to make it even. I had a cranky bratchild who kept falling asleep and whining half the day. I forgot that the librarian was absent and could not get a sub today, so we were in the dark library with ME reading a story and letting the kids pick out books even though we could not check them out lol I have these popsicle sticks with thier names on them, stuck in the books they picked and I'll go check the books out tomorrow - debating sending them home vs waiting til Monday when we come back from break. (Librarian usually prefers books to be at school instead of home during breaks especially for younger kids). But since I was off by those 2 eggs, I brought all the eggs home and sorted them to figure out who the heck was missing eggs because I was getting 372 (31 dozen) eggs which was NOT evenly divided by 22 and couldn't figure out where I messed up since I knew I'd been thru the list fully. Must have skipped two people's names by accident when writing on eggs.
Seems early for a bear but I have no idea when hibernation ends for them.
It's crazy that vertigo just comes out of nowhere... I mean the ear infections make sense but if not that, then what?
Feeling better today, for the first time. It's been slowly easing up each day as long as I was careful not to turn a certain direction, look down for too long or bend over.
Now I can get to some stores again, lol.
I gotta chop up the strawberries I got on Sunday so I can dehydrate them. Just couldn't keep looking down to do them, although I did nearly 7lbs of meat on Tuesday because I had already taken the meat out of the freezer.
That was kind of funny about your power, Kat. I guess if everyone else loses power, you'll be the only one with it! :P
I got the Edward achievement the other day, too! Hell I thought you guys would've already had it. Now I have to build my stock of crystals back up in case I can actually catch the remote when it stocks.

I was never able to catch Edward in the restocks before. I fed it to Kayano too lol so one more food down.
Nathan was invited to go camping for a friend's birthday... Talked to the mom today, decided to let Nathan go for one night of the two night camping trip. No adults are going and it is supposed to be just three boys (Nathan, the birthday kid and the kid he got in trouble with at school). Even tho like four other boys were invited too. Mom says this kid is a lot like Nathan, has people he talks to but no real friends to hang out with and do things..... I hate for this boy to not enjoy his birthday trip because no one comes, and for Nathan not to go do something he was invited to ....he is rarely invited to do things with people (tho this year it has been a little more frequent).
Oh not sure I shared all that on here. Nathan skipped class earlier this month/last month? I think I talked about that. But this Monday he got caught vaping in class. A substitute teacher was there. He said he thought they wouldn't see him. Eye-roll. It belonged to the friend he skipped class with. Both boys got ISS again. I was seriously debating not letting him go at all. And really....I probably shouldn't let him go. But instead he is going to bust ass in the yard during spring break and not have any electronics for at least two weeks. Maybe longer.
I vape, but I really hate that kids think it's "the thing to do". A lot of it seems to have died down with more restrictions in place and it doesn't seem to be such a fad anymore (as opposed to when my youngest was in high school several years ago when the small pens came out) but it still irks me when they get into it.
I was wondering what you were talking about at first so I'm glad you remembered to share, lol. Sounds like fair punishment. You gotta wonder if sometimes it's better to not be invited to many events that have more bad things happening or less that are just focused on friends and not clout.

Yea, its not like I want him to be invited to tons of stuff, with tons of people there, but its like, he doesn't have any friends really. The few times he does get invited to a person's house he goes once or twice and then its almost like he never talks to them again...its weird. And when he invites someone over here, its almost the same - if the person comes at all, its only a few times and then I rarely hear that person's name again....
At least these two boys I have heard their names all year, and I've taken the one kid home several times, and he's come over twice... The birthday kid's younger brother is in my PreK class lol
Yea I was trying to think of alternative "consequences" instead of taking the camping trip away. I told him he cannot complain one bit and needs to WORK and not go "I'm tired, I'm hot, etc, etc" I am also making him work on school work if it rains. Which he will hate. And if he tells me he has no idea what he needs to do for the assignment I am on the verge of just looking up whatever the title of the assignment is and making up my OWN assignment!!!! ARRRGGGHHH So tired of him not passing his classes because he isn't doing the work.
I swear he sounds so much like how my oldest daughter was. Now, if I tell you other things about her and how she currently is, unrelated to schooling b/c she's an LPN and is working towards her RN cert, I don't want you to think that I'm thinking Nathan has the same issues. Make sense?
There's no way in hell I would raise kids in these times. It's become insane and while those kind of times ebb and flow, it really seems to have filtered down into the schools on a whole 'nother level.
Maybe he's just an introvert? They'll never change and they don't have to, right! It's hard to befriend a kid or an adult who's introverted but they usually like it (of course). Kids especially don't know how to talk to or befriend other kids that are shy or awkward or on the quiet side.
What was Shane like when he was in HS?

Shane was slightly more outgoing. Still is. Always has a bunch of random friends. Nowadays Shane's are more online people. Still not people that I would really consider friends, myself personally. But they are to him. I guess in highschool outside of school he had two-three guys he hung with (and told on himself when they did stupid things like smoking or going somewhere w/o permission). Shane was in ROTC all except his senior year of high school, I don't know if that helped him or what, (you know, your "group" becomes your family/friends type of thing) but he never was into sports or chorus/band or anything. He also did construction classes. One of those was "follow orders" and the other was "work mostly on your own" - soooo.... eh. I dunno. Shane also struggled academically, but that was literally because he should have had an IEP, and assistance in school. He always had a comprehension issue, and he did get diagnosed with ADD as a teenager, when he took meds for that it really helped him, but still to this day he mixes up words, sayings, meanings...
I think Nathan withdrew from friends more when he was diagnosed with social anxiety and depression (or well, slightly before that I really suppose) .... he used to be in football and have lots of friends when in elementary school - though then it was still mostly just a few he ever hung out with, just more being mentioned as school friends. In middle school he ended up more in trouble with kids from the football team there (that he was a part of in 7th grade) and I got sick of it, I was worried he would end up in fights, so I transferred him from school to school. He made a few new friends, but I think that is where a lot of his "dropping out of" things started happening...he didn't play football that year, he didn't like chorus or band that year, he did chorus 2yrs in high school but didn't want to be anywhere near the front of the group and didn't like doing performances at all really (looking back). So that is one thing I wonder - did I mess up moving schools? Or would he be worse if he had started being in ISS and OSS in middle school with those boys? Did the move cause him to develop depression and anxiety? Was that already there? Nathan's only academic issue is the fact that he does not want to do the school work. He doesn't like it and doesn't care about doing it. If he put his mind to it, if he is made to do it, he CAN do it, no problems no issues, no concerns. He chooses not to do the work.
I'm glad to hear your daughter is doing well after having issues. I know that all kids are different, it takes some longer to mature/find their niche. Some don't want or need to be in school, etc. I just want him to graduate high school, and then figure out what he wants to do with his life.
Hey guys.
Ian’s just left to go on our friends stag do in London. He’s due back Sunday morning. I’m missing him already. I’ve ordered a Chinese for 6pm.
Tomorrow I’m planning to see three films. Mummies, dungeons & dragons and John wick.
Hope you all are doing ok
Hi ! You ordered a Chinese?! Do they come in the mail? 😂
I need to catch up on some movie trailers. I have seen the ones for JW4, though. Poor guy, always being attacked.
I know what you mean, Kat. Just graduate and then you can figure things. All I wanted for my oldest, too. She got a diagnosed with borderline personality disorder when she stayed w/ my mom for a year (long story) and at first I didn't believe it, just b/c of how my mom is, but I can really see it now and it's not good. She never had a problem academically... was just lazy and played the victim role when she didn't get what she wanted. My youngest was on an IEP since 2nd or 3rd grade and I don't think I saw a lot of improvement until high school. They just seemed to do a better job at getting her comprehension skills up. BUT, she put in SO MUCH effort. That girl worked her butt off and I know that was a huge help to the teachers and aids.
My chickens are getting more regular with their egg laying so I should be able to stop buying them soon! I eat a lot of eggs, lol. Gotta make sure I have a couple dozen stashed away for when my youngest comes up for a visit in May cause she's a major egg eater, too. She got another 3mth extension down in TX and even managed to get herself a raise (finally), so I was super happy to hear the latter part.
I also want to pickle a bunch of eggs, which I've never done before. No wait, I think I have but it was a couple years ago. They were pretty good but I need a better recipe.

What and here I thought you were going to have a Chinese person coming to your house hehehe ;) Enjoy your chinese food.
We hardly ever eat eggs. I use them more for baking than I do for eating. I only usually buy a half-dozen at a time. Except Eastertime, if/when the kids want to dye real eggs. Sometimes we get the new fake dye-able eggs. They aren't plastic but I don't know what else to call them. I like devilled eggs but only fresh made. And I don't bake very often anymore since I don't have anyone but myself and Nathan to eat stuff and it usually gets stale before we do because even a recipe that only calls for 1 egg makes so many cookies.
So today at school we had clapout (celebration of kids who did good things, they get to run around the hallways while everyone else claps for them), then we had the egg hunt, then we had a long recess since we had no specials, in which a child got kicked in the eye, so I got a walk to the nurse. Then naptime, and after nap, special snack, we had cheetos, chocolate chip muffins, and a bit of candy for treats. And capri sun juices. Now it is spring break and i am already so tired. Yet Monday I have to drive to LaGrange for an orthodontist appt and therapy that night, and then Tuesday he has a dentist appt in town and THEN the contractor for the floor is coming Tuesday too I think and i am trying to find where I wrote it down because now I'm worried its the same time!! ack. Edit: and now since I have a 24yr old who likes to drink, I now have two alcoholic beverage spills on my carpet because he was putting together a dresser and spilled his drink twice, I get to shampoo the carpet this weekend.
Make HIM clean up his mess!!
Some massive storms across the central states last night. I saw tornado watches on my phone for around midnight and woke up close to then to a lot of wind and rain. Think it was the lightning that woke me up, since my window was partly open and the curtains open. I was watching a live stream of this youtuber that does weather forecasts (and even shows up with a bunch of supplies that are sent by his viewers to help those that have been hit by tornadoes) and there were tornadoes popping up everywhere.
Crazy weather, and it's still early in the season.
No plans this weekend. Was just online to pay some bills b/c I didn't feel like doing it yesterday, lol. Run to a couple stores, maybe even Home Depot to see how much landscaping pieces are.
Vertigo still hasn't completely left and it's bothersome.

Yes, except it wouldn't be done right and I'd have to do it again. He did soak up all the spill. (He said he would clean those spots - but I'd rather just go ahead and do the whole carpet instead, so another reason I'll just do it).
Eeep, Yikes on the weather up there. Hope everyone stays safe. We had more tornados down here too, but not my city again thankfully. Just around south of us I think.
I've been to breakfast at IHOP (why is it my husband is more than happy to go have breakfast with me NOW when he never wanted to when we lived together? Weird, but whatever) then shopping at walmart. I brought that stuff home since I had some cold stuff and I need to go to Lowes to get new trellis for the rose bushes as both have broken (the old trellis) and the roses are on the ground.... Nathan's friend is on his way over tho, so I'm waiting for them, then after they leave I'll go to lowes.
Just had the Hustler offer to sell me the Giapa hat, so I bought and transformed it into the giapa sticker i needed.
Edit: Home from lowes. Got two trellises. Going to have to use a fence post (green, metal) to support them tho because I couldn't find the right size rebar and they don't have enough support at the base as big as my rose vines are. Another reason I'm shampooing and not Shane - its pouring rain. He is trying to cook a boston butt in the rain poor kid - and I won't shampoo when its rainy, and he'll leave before its supposed to stop and be dry/warm enough.
Well that's a pricey roast.
I know what you mean by kids not doing it right... or maybe not to our expectations, lol. We're pros with all the years of practice. 😂
Crazy windy today... again.
Went to Wally and Dayou (the international market) and got some stuff they were out of stock on. The other day when I was at Wally I picked up a hyacinth that smells so good. Now I gotta figure out where I want to plant it. Picked up one of those flat hoses today b/c I'm tired of hauling the heavy one down to the chicken coop and then bringing it back up to the house so the neighbor doesn't mow over it, like he's done several times. Also picked up a bunch of veggie seeds for no reason, lol. Could've waited but I got some lavender I'm going to try to grow again, for the millionth time, and hope it works better this time. Just ordered my dashcam and a few bags of seeds to make sprouts with from Amazon.
Now I'm about to start another batch of nabak kimchi and do some kitchen cleanup. Fun... Could've done a couple more things today but it gets annoying when everyone else is out before noon, making it as busy as a weekday lunchtime rush or something. People just get on my nerves.

We had a crazy downpour this morning. Like the thunder was so loud it had to be on top of us. Scared us to death.
I dunno what he paid, I just know it is really too big for three/four people. WAAAAAAYYYYYYY too big. He will have lots of leftover to take with him.
Went out just a bit ago and cleaned up most of the limbs on MY side of the driveway that the power company cut down out of the trees (so nice of them to mess up my tidy area of the yard eyeroll) Will probably pick up the limbs cut on the other side since some of them protrude into the driveway.
Speaking of that side, Thursday there was a contractor or someone out here Shane said, and Friday they dropped off a pile of roof trusses and some sort of boards (its not plywood, but its like that? sort of). So I guess soon they will be doing work there. ALLLLL that is sitting in the mud, and it got rained on too. Some of it may not be use-able!! :o oops on them!
EDIT:
Now I've just finished putting in the new trellises and fixing the roses

I've always wanted trellis's for morning glory and other climbers. Were they hard to put up and how's Lowe's on the pricing for them? They look good!!
Some companies really suck when it comes to pre-planning for construction. My younger brother works for companies that deliver construction materials and that happens more often than not. They'll drop off stuff to prepare for work, it will get ruined and then last minute they'll call in an order to those other companies that deliver goods to have it done right away. Guess it keeps everyone in business, lol.
OMGG I'm so irritated. I seriously can not even get to 30 days on the bathhouse!!! I guess along w/ not wanting to pay bills, I forgot to do that yesterday, too.
Just now finished the nabak kimchi. I'll get a pic of how it sits for about 4hrs and then when I stir it up to put it in the fridge. Went out to give a bunch of scraps to the chickens and wholly crap, the wind was so crazy last night that it actually flipped some heavy rocks off the top! I have a thick plastic piece that covers some siding that's on the roof, and the plastic being blown so hard lifted a large and very heavy rock off and that's no easy feat!
More egggsss. :D I gotta drop some off at the neighbor's. They don't go through a lot either but they DO bake a lot of goodies and I love getting stuff in exchange. ;)
Kitchen is an even bigger mess. I just needed to sit down for a bit.

They were easy to put up because I had the fence posts and the fence post slamming thingy lol I forget what it's called. Then I tied twine around to tie the trellis to the fence post and the roses to the trellis. They were about $17 each. I had to use a metal fence post for support as they didn't have stakes or anything that went in the ground. Not sure you can see them in that picture. I had old ones from an old fence we had.
One of the roses (the bigger one) really needed strong support.
Rebar at Lowe's was about $6 for a 4ft section pole you could use that as support too probably.
There, backside of the big one.
From what Shane said it's the owners company that dropped off the materials (he owns a lumber company if I remember right, the home rentals are an extra thing for him). But seriously? In a muddy mess? And no tarp knowing how much it's been raining here? There was plastic around it but like the roof the plastic blew off...if it was ever on correctly to begin with. It wasn't on by the time I got home.
Aww sweet of you to share the eggs, and for them to share the treats back with you!
I am at like 120something. I'm hoping I don't forget again. For the bathhouse. I just vacuumed my living room. My kitchen is a mess too. Laundry in there, big shopping mess in there. And just a regular mess from breakfast and lunch still in there. Plus I just put stuff in the bread machine and I'm baking the loaf in the machine this time since I forgot to start it earlier to do dough. So bread machine ingredient mess 😝
Edit Lowes had some simpler metal triangular fan shaped ones that had short stakes to go in the ground for $15. They would probably work for morning glories But I like wood.
