Yea the timing for different things is crazy. I wish it was all the same for the different wait times. I like 5mins too, because then even if you are only on for an hour or so you still get plenty of time to do it.

Those are different. Pretty tho.

My arm has been killing me today, and my whole body has been slightly stiff/achy-ish the last few days. Hope I'm not getting sick. I need to do some arm exercises/physical therapy type stuff I found online for my arm again I think.

[edit] 510pm I am tired. I want to go to bed. I just really don't feel great. I don't feel SICK if you know what I mean tho. I think this weekend unless I get really bored, I am going to stay out of the yard and just rest. I have completed almost all of my available schoolwork - I have 1 assignment (not due til March 20) and I could be reading the next set of chapters for the next test (test not available yet).

I have been on phone with husband, brother, son, and 2 contractors for the foundation. Called the one recommended by the guy who did my roof, who sent me to someone else, apparently, he doesn't do what he feels needs to be done for my foundation. They can't come out til March 17th, but I got a 3pm apt, and will arrange to leave work a little early. No kids that day anyway. Also had planned to go pick up the car that weekend, but I will have to wait to leave until after I see the contractor for the estimate. Waiting on brother to call again so I can send him the $ for the car. He will pay the guy, I will drive down, sign papers and be good to go. I am trying to decide if I want to drive down early Saturday (next, not this one but the one after) morning, or late Friday afternoon/night - but since I now have the contractor coming out, depends on how long it takes them to look/do an estimate on if I leave Friday. Will probably get a hotel 1 night and visit a little instead of rushing right back home....I know the drive will tire me out anyway.

[edit] 526pm March 10th (Friday)

ugh. what a day. Long crazy day at school and then afterschool I scrambled madly for a little while and then ended up staying home instead. Yay? :P Anyway. Money transferred to brother. Shane NOT picked up. No idea what I am doing for dinner, but Nathan said he would cook himself a frozen pizza. I also managed to get a phone call into the insurance company just before they closed to get a quote on the Nissan XTerra (new to me car). Costs more than the Mazda eyeroll and now have to decide if I want to stick with liability for cheaper costs or go for the comprehensive coverage as well and pay more per month but not have to freak if anything smashes into my car again. Its a difference of $50 a month which is not huge, but it does stretch my budget tight. Am debating paying off Farmers Furniture (sofa/loveseat), I only owe like 5 or 6 more months of payments on that, but then I'll breathe easier if I didn't have that $100 bill monthly, since I'll be ADDING $100-150 monthly to my insurance. I do have some $ left from my tax return that I can use for that. Also was debating finding out what the 6m insurance premium would be because you can get a discount if you pay in full (I think anyway). Then use the next 6m to save up enough to do it again at renewal :P Speaking of returns, I still have not gotten my state return which I find weird, and I planned to use that $ for the RenFair food and souvenirs this year, we are going to go on April 30. Hope it comes in before then.

Well Kat, I hope you're able to rest, like you want to. I feel like I've been "resting" all week but I haven't been b/c I've been in too much pain and I wake up constantly during the night, so I'm dead tired after work and sleep for no less than a couple of hours, if not more. Really wish I could take a nap during my lunchtime but I get too stiff while sitting upright during the day and since I've been training, I don't get much time to take short breaks to move around.

Where do you have to drive to pickup the car, and who will be driving the other car back? As far as insurance goes, if you don't have any nearby trees that have a chance of tossing a large branch on your car again, then maybe it's not worth it? I know you save by paying 6mths out, but I've never had the extra money or when I did, I used it towards paying off credit bills. Don't you just love how you pay more for a newer car that has additional safety features than you would an older car, that has less?!!

Speaking of cars..... ugh. I have to go to the title office and file for a lost title for my wrecked Solara so I can sell it. Wanted to do this for weeks now, but I get so intimidated b/c of my anxiety that I just freeze up whenever I think about going there. The problem I might face is that I never got the initial title. I was mailed the memorandum stating that the lien was paid off and that I needed to take that to get the actual title and, well I never did and then I lost it.
Now, the next anxiety inducing thing I have to overcome is finding a pain management specialist b/c I definitely need help for my physical problems, but a GP can't do shit. Now, just to show how much of a pain THAT is, the last time I was trying to find a new GP and going through the list that Anthem gave me, half of their numbers were for emergency rooms!! One lady told me that it happens all the time, when I said I'm sorry for calling! I haven't had to go through this for several years so whatever laziness is going on in the insurance side, it's made finding a new doctor a royal PITA!! I'm also really dreading what will or won't be billed so that it doesn't go towards the 2k deductible I have, as that's one of the reasons why I'm leaving my former GP (and also b/c she really SUCKED). Their office would bill my daughter for her regular 3mth depo shot as something OTHER than the code used for "routine maintenance", as a friend often calls it, which means it went towards the deductible - meaning out of pocket. I've already gone back and forth with them and the insurance company about it and it finally got resolved... although I don't know who resolved it. The only way I knew was that I called the insurance and asked what was still owed and all the other bullshit had been removed. Anyway, the last time I went to a pain specialist, I was put through 3x a week PT and when that didn't help, I FINALLY got a corticosteroid shot in my hip which actually helped, but I was nearly a thousand dollars in debt by that time. (Low tier insurance didn't cover PT and I have a feeling that even my high tier one is going to go towards that ridiculous deductible...... no wait, I think my deductible was 4k for that tier so yeah, still not actually covered.) So yeah... stressing b/c I know I need the pain relief but terrified of how many hoops I'm going to have to jump through.

Like seriously... just give me a few shots and let me be on my way. It's far better than those drugs you be handing out.

I am going to drive 5hrs for this. But for me to be comfortable buying a used car, because my brother has looked it over, driven it and says HE would buy it and it's a good car that will last and not have a lot of issues is important to me. The plan at the moment is for me to drive the Mazda down, leave it at my brothers, drive the XTerra back. Brother (remember he is a mechanic and offered to see if he can fix it) is going to get a good look at the Mazda, see if he can actually bang it out, replace the lights, and replace the hatch, and if he can, he is going to let Nathan come down and help him do it during the summer (Nathan for the last few years has been saying he wants a project car - but has no mechanical skills really, other than what hubby has taught him/let him help do). My plan then is to allow the Mazda to be Nathan's car if Nathan wants it or Shane's car if Shane wants it (if Nathan doesn't).

The insurance company has said that they will be able to reduce the cost of insurance on the mazda as it will be "low miles" as I will be driving the other one, which will help offset the full coverage cost, but still....AND even told me the difference between having a 500 and NO deductible on comprehensive coverage (which is if a tree falls on it again or a I hit a deer)...and thats only a few dollars a month, so if I DO go full coverage I will probably go no deductible. (they can only do this -lower it to low miles - while I am the only driver listed however, as I know from past experience). Oh and the XTerra (2005) is older than the Mazda (2011), I guess its just that its a different type of vehicle that is making it cost more, it doesn't cost TOO much more tho. Like I pay $90 for the Mazda for liability right now and the XTerra would be $97 for liability.

And Ryan plans to help with the cost of insurance once Nathan gets his driver's license if he is still in school at that time. If Nathan has graduated before getting his driver's license, then Nathan will have to get a job and help pay for it himself, just as Shane will have to if he gets it instead.

Yea, I probably won't do the paying 6m out, even tho I think I would like to, just because I doubt in 6m I'll be able to do it again because some way/somehow the $ intended for the 6m payment would be spent. I'll probably just pay off the furniture debt. Wish I could do the 6m payments, but oh well. I just was rambling about my thoughts because I would like to do that, it is an option ATM, but I don't think it will be a good option in the future.

I'm sorry to hear about your pain getting that bad :( It is hard finding a good doctor. I haven't bothered, I just go to the family medical clinic which is like a walk in urgent care and get seen that way. They do have an actual "make an appointment" office next door to them, that the doctors also work at, but I haven't gotten around to ever making appointments with them. I do like the different doctors/nurse practitioners I've seen there tho. Insurance for medical stuff SUCKS. Unless you can afford to get the highest costing one monthly, which is the only way you DON'T have to pay co-pays or deductibles (at least, in my case, the options I get to pick from). And if I paid the highest costing one, I'd lose almost half my paycheck. Its crazy. When you do go to the doctor, explain that PT didn't help in the past/you can't afford to go, and do they have other options instead? Maybe?

Would writing down what you want help you with the title office? That way if you freeze up when speaking you can just pass over the note - have an apology written out or something, "sorry I'm freaked out about this and I can't talk when I get nervous, but this is what I need.... etc?" Or just the going INTO the building freaks you out? Could your brother/daughter do it for you? Or go with you to help? (If that would help, I don't know if it would help you to have him or someone else along as support....) ?

[edit] 855am It is raining, so now even if I wanted to work in the yard, I won't be able to LOL Its POURING. I guess I will do some housework. It needs it too. And laundry. I didn't do a lot yesterday; I did go out and help a little because Ryan came over and used the chainsaw to cut up some smaller stuff so I helped hold the long pieces and helped load the car so he could take some wood. Then I raked a little bit and made Nathan go out and rake some more.

Evening… hope that you’re all well. I still feel rubbish. I’ve not forgotten your birthday gifties. Just been all over the place, can’t concentrate so when I better I’ll send them over.

Last week we lost a friend that we met through the drinking scene. We spoke to him Friday during the day and he died Friday night. He was late 50’s with no health issues. It came as a shock as we had so recently spoke to him.

Ian has a stag do/Batchelor do for our friend Phil. It’s in London on the 1st April. I wanted to go. But wasn’t allowed. Got invited to the hen do/bachelorette party but declined as I can’t think of anything worse. Just not my cup of tea.

Our back garden is complete. Shed was installed on Thursday when we had a mad snow snowstorm. It didn’t settle. New floor boards have been installed in the landing and spare room.

Just the additional two solar panels and battery to be done the week commencing 20th. And then the front garden and side to be landscaped and that’s it for the year.

We saw the new scream movie yesterday. Love it. So gory and jumpy. Just like a horror film should be.

I’ve lost 11lbs in two weeks. Loads more to go but it’s a start.

I finally made those cinnamon rolls. I made them thin tho because I like a bit of crunchy outside. Also made some bread from the other half of the dough. They still have to rise and be baked.

, sorry to hear about your friend. a bachelorette party may have been just as fun as stag night. Depends on what the activities are I suppose. I've never been to either. Only baby showers a few times, and birthday parties (mostly for kids). I saw the snow ya'll got! So jealous lol I just keep getting rain rain rain. Yay for the back garden being done and solar panels going in! Also congrats on the weight loss! :)

those look lovely 🤤

I tend to get on with men more than females and being around drunk women is definitely not for me. The stag do is doing axe throwing and gokarting. The females are going to Amsterdam and just going there to get stoned. Which isn’t my thing at all. When I was in my late teens but not my 40’s.

We had snow and a lot of it and it didn’t settle. I live in the flattest part of the uk and when we get snow it usually just turns to rain.

go-karting and axe-throwing sounds more fun than drinking/getting stoned to me :P

We get snow sometimes, just not often. Its been a few years since we had any stick. I think last year we got to see some fall and had like, a dusting that melted pretty quickly. I've had enough rain today. Huge puddles in my yard/driveway again. And the grass is going to grow like crazy if it warms up again (its supposed to be in the 50s-60s all week but get chilly at night (down in the high 30s). And the grass growing makes it harder for me to finish cleaning up the yard.

I completed all the laundry. Tidied up the kitchen, washed MOST of the dishes (dirtied a few as I baked lol) and swept the floor. I folded and put away almost all of the laundry (towels are still out here but are folded). I still need to vacuum the LR and hallway. I also pulled some crap down off the shelf in my closet - I need to sort thru it, trash it, give it to Ryan, whatever. And I plan to pull my collection of Cabbage Patch Dolls out of the attic boxes and display them for myself in the closet on the shelf :P I need to get crap out of the attic and that is a nice way for me to begin with it.

Those cinnamon rolls look goooood Kat!

Awww Luce, I'm sorry you're still not feeling great, and about your friend. I agree though, I'd much rather go axe-throwing and go-karting!

Yesterday we had our first club meeting, and.. it went really well?! All the kids had a lot of fun, and we recruited three new leaders! ... which is good, because my co club leader and I were each running three projects at a time haha.

Supposed to get lots of snow today and tomorrow, but hoping it holds off until after our pasta dinner tonight, it's the biggest fundraiser of the year, and is still happening. Cross your fingers for us! :P

Ughhh. :( Hopefully she just.. conks out.

And yes. OK so there's clubs, which.. everyone needs to be a part of a club to be a project. Each club has officers, etc. We did ours yesterday, Lily is treasurer LOL.

And then anyone cna be in as many projects as they want to inside of that project! But we're only allowing two projects per child this year. So we're offering sheep, poultry, sewing/designed by me (changing clothes you already have)/stitchery (embroidery/crossstitch), coding, cake decorating, and then cloverbuds (under 8s).

Normally she does. We had the behavior specialist come get her tho because she was still up and being disruptive after refusing to clean up, refusing to leave the room to go to the bathroom, making noise during storytime, going into play areas when it is not playtime, spit on the hallway floor, make spitting noises, etc etc etc pretty much all day. About the only thing she didn't do was hit pinch or push someone. Which she normally does do at least one every day. She only behaved during small groups - her group was playing with geo boards and rubber bands, and center time (play time).

Cake decorating and embroidery sounds fun. My hands/arm probably wouldn't let me do those very well right now. I hurt just pouring water and twisting lids back onto bottles today ☹️ I didn't realize you were in charge of 4H I thought your girls just participated and you helped out! Very cool.

[EDIT] 610 am Yawn my alarm went off, I'd been laying in bed half asleep - and I thought to myself, its the weekend, why is my alarm going off? Then I realized, if the alarm is going off it is NOT the weekend and after I got up I realized it was only Tuesday. Oh and I had the weirdest awfulest dream. I was making Nathan do some yardwork in the driveway (shovelling dirt and moving tree branches, and I ran into a spiderweb or two, huge ones and a spider!) and then realized we had to get to school so we ran up here to get ready, left the house, but he was driving, he took us god only knows where downtown, in the dark( even tho it was daylight while we were working in the driveway), while a substitute teacher texted and called me asking where I was, she NEEDED me!!! And finally I had Nathan, who was driving super slow, pull into a parking lot so I could switch with him, then I got him to school, but we were on a hill and the car kept trying to roll while he was getting his stuff out of the backseat (which he never has it there, its always in his lap). Then I tried to go around the backway to my school (which is really weird because his school does NOT have a hill, and there is no back way to my school from his, its literally around the corner from his lol) and my car would not change gears and I was like, pedaling the clutch and gas like a bicycle but the car wouldn't work....and then I pulled over and was taking everything out of the car to carry to work and was going to leave the car on the side of the road. And then I woke up. WEIRD!!!! Edit: The rest of the day was nice enough! 5 kids absent, including the above-mentioned PITA. We did get observed (well, more-so the lead teacher did) by the assistant principal for the yearly observation, and we also had a guest reader in for a program they call "Real Men Read" - which name irritates me as it insinuates that men aren't real men if they don't like to read. But I know they mean well by it and do it to encourage boys to read more by seeing men come in and read. And then we had specials today- our music/agriculture teacher for us....and we got to go outside and pet the new bunny that evidently we have aquired as a school pet, in addition to seeing the chicken we already have.....and then the kids got to plant some seeds. FUN! :) Then I went and got Shane and now I've popped on here while reading the next chapter of my college class. Got to read Ch 6-9 and take a test by March 27th on that, and a discussion too, by that date.....And in the other class that just opened up, I have til April 17 to read Ch 10-15 and take a quiz on each chapter and then take the unit test.

Winter returned and while I doubt we got as much snow as , we still got snow and it's cold. Has made me want to go back into hibernation. The warm February really screwed me up but at least I got a head start on some spring stuff, lol. Gonna be a really cold weekend, which is just irritating but I think that's the last of the really cold temps.

Nice job on the weight loss, ! Very sorry to read about your drinking buddy.
I totally get not wanting to go and get stoned with a bunch of chics, lol. The other stuff definitely sounds like more fun. I did have a fun bachelorette party with a buddy of mine many years ago, but her and I and a couple other friends were more on the same level and could totally let loose and have a blast. Baby showers are incredibly dull, too.

I'll have to take a look at the picture later, . It's currently blocked from my work vpn. Probably a good thing I can't see it b/c I've got to get some groceries and I haven't eaten yet so I'd be going in hungry, lol. The anxiety comes in dealing w/ people I perceive to be in an authorative position. It stems from dealing with something close to a decade ago and I'm mostly over it, but sometimes I'll get a burr in my mind or s/thing and I can't shake the perception of having to deal with that situation. I need to find some more coping mechanisms to use and practice.
Seems like you're doing spring cleaning. :P
Oh, I just heard about a situation that required a spanking on of the grandboys - one peed in the other's halloween mask last year. !!! Those boys are hellions! It was the older one, which I think is turning 6 this year, that did it. I definitely would've made him clean it up, thoroughly. What makes a kid even think to do s/thing like that?! What's going on with your arm? Do you have a pinched nerve in your neck?

Well the only thing I know is the carpal tunnel, cubital tunnel after I got the test back in Nov? Dec? But it still aches off & on even with the pain med the Dr prescribed. The other day I think it was more muscle aches in that arm. I used some icyhot and it helped. And the one that hurt while doing the water lids was the OTHER arm and I'm not sure why it sent twinges.

Oh gawd . Yes that child would have been made to clean it up if it was me. And probably got spanked too. Today our lovely one (sarcasm there) got in the mud, covered her shoes, pants (front and back) and hands, then smeared the mud on the playground before we were able to stop her, then smeared mud from her hands onto her mouth and proceeded to blow spit bubbles. Then dropped her jacket on our way in and refused to go pick it up for us. Counselor took her to go back and get it, and talked to mom who was bringing new shoes because "well she has a change of clothes doesn't she?" when we called to let her know about all the mud. Child went home with mom instead of staying just now, after counselor talked to mom. 18 other children btw, played on the playground perfectly nicely w/o getting in the mud at all. And were all disgusted by the mud smeared spit bubbles.

I got my stuff at the store, even the big bags of dog food and chicken feed that I wasn't able to get sooner, and came back and immediately got ready to cook chicken for some vietnamese style spring rolls.
Those cinnamon rolls looks so good it makes me wish I would've picked up something like that. If I wasn't so full and tired, I would probably run back to the store, lol.

Man that child needs some help!

The other arm is what makes me think of a pinched nerve.

Gotta go out and feed the chickens. Need to move some before I pass out, lol. It's a bright, sunny day around 46, which is a lot better than it's been but it's not going to be so 'nice' again until next week.

Maybe it was. It didn't bother me again except that day during that time, and it was sore for a while after I did it.

Lead teacher stayed up in the office talking to mom of that child for a while....she told me the child ran up the hallway, darted into the office and yelled at mom "WHERE. ARE. MY. SHOES." Mom did not bring any as she came from work and didn't stop at the house. When told that child was telling us "No I don't want to" (get on the mat, it was naptime), she gently scolded child "you should not talk back to adults like that" and got a "I'M SORRRRRRRRY, stomps feet/glares" Mom sighed. Obviously mom is part of the problem here. (at least, in my opinion) because if my child did that, I'd have done more than sighed!! :o When told by mom that she should apologize to lead teacher for playing in the mud and getting so dirty, child stared off into space. Mom never "made" her apologize, not that saying I'm sorry would have done anything anyway.

Chickens fed, dog ran around like a nut and is now chewing on a piece of a pig ear that I picked up at the feed store and I'm continuing on my rewatch of Ally McBeal. Anyone ever watch this show? Definitely get feel good vibes from a better time (younger) in my life and all the funny stuff in it.

Picked up some regular beefsteak tomato seeds (the big size) at Wally when I was there b/c of all the young plants I got sprouting, I don't see any of the bigger ones tomato varieties. I've got yellow pear and cherries, but the other 2, nothing. These are organics, although I think that's more to make the price higher.

I definitely agree that the mother is probably part of the problem if that's how she was. Then again, it's always a little awkward to reprimand your child in front of school staff. My daughter babies her youngest and I can't stand the way he acts.

Is there any kind of surgery they can do for carpal tunnel? I thought in some cases, there was.

I thought about that too, that maybe she didn't want to react in front of staff....but to not even call the child out verbally ? "Hey, stop shouting at me." "You need to respond to your teacher when she asks you a question." Even just "we don't act like that young lady" Except, she obviously does...so I guess that would be useless for mom to say anyway. Something tho.

Yes there is surgery. But mine is minor according to the test. So that's why they recommended physical therapy. I guess as it gets worse (if? When?) then I may end up having surgery in the future.

Edit... I've heard of Ally McBeal. Dont think I've ever watched it.

That arm isn't bothering me anymore. It only did it that one day.

Also carpal tunnel and cubital tunnel are both pinched nerves (wrist and elbow). I am trying to remember to do the stretches I found online a couple times a week like it says to do.

Happy Birthday !! I saw you were all dressed fancy but just didn't register lol
