All I can say for sure is, I'll end up doing it if I have to for an achievement, but I will grumble a lot about it lol. I'm definitely going to have to unlock lair slots for that reason and I'm not looking forward to that at all. I didn't realize that was a thing you got a discount for during dominance...I guess I should save up and try to remember to unlock some in September since that might be the only time all year my flight gets it haha

LOL! Is there achievements for unlocking slots? I haven't really looked that hard at the achievements yet. What flight are you again? Nature gets dominance like 2-3 times a year lol Not very often at all! But yeah I can't remember the discount, maybe 15% off or something like that.

Ughhhh yeah I just checked and these are the achievements: -Expand your lair to a total of 200 slots -Complete 300 tasks to unlock slots in your Hibernal Den -Have 500 total dragons in your clan So I am going to have to unlock those egg tasks after all. :[ On the plus side though, I realized I have more space now than I thought and since I need to build an army anyway, I can take another look at those dergs you're adopting out... :D

I'm in Arcane, so I can only really count on our festival for dom. We might get it one or two other times throughout the year. I can't complain though since I haven't really been any help with it lol

OH NO! 😅 I would suggest buying them. It's easier to part with them if you don't have to work hard in the coliseum for them 😅

Arcane is very popular actually, I think that's part of the problem. From what I've read, dominance scoring is weighted and gives an advantage to smaller flights. I guess it has to, to make up for the fact that even if they tried really hard they just wouldn't have the numbers to keep up with a large active flight. But in addition to that, I think we're just too lazy too busy doing science wizard things and trying to destroy the world again to waste time breeding and fighting 😂

Oh no I forgor I can't put these in my hibden for a month lmao... Oh well, I've got room. I'm slowly getting less attached to the idea of having all my favorite dragons out in my main lair so I just crammed a few more into the den. And I yeeted all the ones I had ready to exalt. Eventually it's probably just going to be breeders and trainees out there. Sounds kinda bleak. Sounds like a Lightning lair...nothing but the most efficient, streamlined production 😂

No that's ok, I should have remembered because I've encountered that before. And it wouldn't have changed my mind about adopting them either, I just had to hurry and make extra room. They are all settled in and comfy now! :D

I would definitely prefer no cooldown but I kinda get it within your own lair. It is pointless but I guess it adds "challenge" to managing your lair. It's completely stupid for the cooldown to transfer with the dragon to another account though. Like why are you responsible for how someone else chooses to manage their lair? lol

Should you ever want one of my hatchies or want a special breeding being done by my draggies just say the word! <3

The colors are a little difficult to work with but she reminds me of the Rhode Island Red chickens I used to keep as pets so I like them. I'm not sure how I'll gene her up yet but I'll figure something out. Also got the achievement for hatching a Nocturne egg so yay!

I've been there 4 years too (anniversary was my bday) and somehow I also still feel like a noob. I've seen an attitude displayed by some of the older players that "open registration was a mistake" (literally a quote from an old necro'd thread I saw recently) which may just be a joke but feels gatekeepy and unwelcoming. I've never been able to maintain any sort of meaningful conversation with anyone there, it's all just one-off comments that get ignored and weird jokes. I would be pretty happy to just ignore the forums but I need that rainbow star! lol

I like that scry! She has kind of a bog witch thing going on. I tend to think of Firefly as sort of cheating ("this unmatchy tert is not really part of my dragon, I swear!") but it actually makes total sense in that color.

Sparkle looks nice, too, but in the muted colors, Firefly was the better choice and also underlines the nature feeling. And you are totally right, it looks like some kind of eerie swamp lights!

Yes! And when I try to do an image and make it a clickable URL the image link I get from my dragons never work. The only way I can do that is if I upload the image on imgur and that's just such a hassle.

Sorry, I don't want to scare you away even more with my own anxieties. X'D Most people there are friendly enough, at least in brief interactions. But the userbase seems to skew a lot younger so there are a few edgy little baby trolls and I just don't vibe with them. Like now there's a thread about how funny it is to be "evil" and intentionally give malicious names to fodder you buy before exalting for the express purpose of upsetting the seller when they look at their offspring list. Just...why. Some of the posters are probably joking but others are straight up spiteful for no reason. I don't understand being like that. As a counterpoint though, I did recently have a nice interaction with a couple users who were being very helpful and encouraging about the Runestones 50k achievement. So it's not everyone there!

Anyway, congrats on your success with rehoming and I hope it continues! :)

It's so funny that your scry uses Fern/Paisley/Peacock because I just bought a Water egg to hatch for the achievement and made this scry for it (I feel like I got pretty lucky with this hatch, except now I have to buy a Veilspun scroll lol):

I love Sparkle but it's surprisingly situational in my opinion. It has to look like actual light reflecting off of glitter or it just looks cluttered to me. So like a lighter, similar color to the body. This dragon is a great use case for Firefly and I'll probably go with that. And she's going to have those new companion chickens!
