Sorry Kat. :(

I don't even know what's been going on here, I've just been avoiding subeta and uhhh.. everything else. :P

And throwing away everything we own, basically. Except not.. it just seems like a lot.

And today I put up the tree, and Alex put the lights on for me, because I wasn't tall enough. No ornaments or anything, but.. getting there.

We have a well, so I can't give you any advice on that. :( What's happened since then?!

Nothing. I haven't gone back to talk to them yet Been doing schoolwork. Done with bio for this week. Have English class tomorrow. Need to pick out classes for next semester. Maybe can stop by water company Thursday.

Realized I did finish season one of house of the dragon. Started watching game of thrones again. Maybe will make it thru all of them this time.

You're really kicking butt with the whole school thing, though. I'm so impressed with you!

Work today.. even though there's a 2 hour delay, I only go in 15 minutes late, which means Iz has to sit at the school for almost an hour. Poor kid. At least she'll have the other workers kid, too.

Yea I'm really into the groove of it now I think. I am going to try 3 classes next semester. And I am switching to a different degree which will let me take childhood education classes that will count towards the bachelor's degree program. So I hope that I can still handle three classes since they'll be different than regular education. I think I will be fine though as I have done a lot of training classes on similar studies.

Oooh, you decided to switch?! Congratulations!!

I was so thrilled that marching band is finally over (... they're pep banding at the third playoff game on Saturday), but... it's play time. :P And Jazz band.

Well, I am switching programs, not schools (not yet!) I will finish the associates in the new program, as it lets me take the childhood education classes. Then I will switch to the other college for the bachelor's program, after I finish the associates (in one year, if I manage 3 classes per semester for the next three semesters). I turned in the request to change programs, the advisement/financial aid people have to sign off on it, but she said it would be done tomorrow and she would email me and then I could go change my classes for next semester.

I have been racking my brain it feels like, trying to make sure I am going to be taking classes that I NEED and that will transfer. Why does it seem so complicated? :P

I have TWO sets of classes for the bachelor's program I've been looking at. One was found online at the school website, the other was sent to me. They differ!!! Sheeeesh. Like in one, I have to have 11 hours of "electives" and in the other, only 5. Because in the one, there is less childhood education classes than the other, so you have to make up the hours in elective classes (still need 120 hours total). So which one am I supposed to look at for guidance? Both require 30 hours of general education (math, literacy, science etc) but I swear, they can't give me a straight answer on exactly WHAT classes they will require me to have. I want to know, so that I make sure I have taken what I need. I do think I will need a public speaking class, possibly a religions class, and at least one more class - uuuummm I dont know what type of class - but one choice listed at the end was foreign language. So I might be taking Spanish hahahah! I would prefer French, but SCTC doesn't have that, and Mercer doesn't have language classes at all that I saw. It's just an option you can transfer in for credit as far as I can tell.

I have discovered that only 64 credits total will transfer. And that I have to take at least 34 hrs at their school to graduate from it (not a problem, since if I'll only be transferring 64 credits, I will be earning the other 56 there...) Am debating if I should apply to the other school now, in hopes of getting better answers and knowledge, or waiting since I won't actually be GOING to the school for at least a year.

[edit] Oh and I did go talk to the people at the water company again. The lady I spoke to says she thinks its a "Me" issue, that is - that we have to pay a plumber to come fix it. But she had no idea where the issue was located and said we could call the # listed at the bottom of the hanger tag (sorry, those people have already left for the day so you can't talk to them today) in the morning and see what THEY say.... Great. Thanks. So helpful. NOT!

Did Iz like sitting around being bored at school for an hour? Or did she find something to keep her attention with the other kid? Hope that doesn't happen too often. I know its hard on the kid. OMG that reminds me. There is talk going around the school - from a teacher who sat in on the meeting - that there was discussion of changing the hours of the elementary schools - EARLIER!!! So like open the building at like 645 or 7am, start school that much earlier, release that much earlier - something to do with needing to stagger the bus routes more so that the drivers can do THREE routes (one route per school level) since we are having bus driver issues. You are now going to have more TEACHER issues if you make teachers show up at 645am to have kids in class. These kids are already a royal pain at 715-8am not wanting to be there or be awake yet!!! I cannot imagine how it will go with Nathan if I have to be at school at 645am, and I don't know what time he'd be allowed in HIS building!!! :o

Oh boy, what a mess!

Thankfully we only have the two schools here, but the busses do the HS run, then immediately start over again for the elementary.

The way the other kids school does it is that HS, MS and elementary all ride the same bus.. but then they need a lot more busses and drivers.

BUT I'm sure that starting and ending earlier would be a big hassle for working parents too, which is.. most of them, I'd assume!

Iz was actually all alone, poor thing. She had to sit on the steps in the gym for the full hour.. but she played blooket on her chromebook.

And ugh to no straight answers. I'd maybe make an appointment with admissions, and then you can go right in and ask exactly what transfers, what you should be taking now, etc etc etc.

Well, I've been able to find out what transfers (for the most part, it does have a disclaimer that the list may not be fully accurate and that they will assess all classes for transfer). Its more me trying to find out EXACTLY what they require and them not giving me an answer to that specifically. They did send me a program, which lists general education classes, but it is NOT for the program I am going to take. I found another list of general education requirements, but again, it does not state that it is for MY specific program, and I just don't want to waste my time doing a class that won't even count at this point (because other than the fact that it's getting me an associate's degree, and will transfer as electives) I feel that some of the classes I've already taken are in that category - not required :P Also there is like 20 ECCE classes available at SCTC - but obviously not all of them are for my specific Birth-Kindergarten teacher education program. So I was trying to verify which ones WERE the ones I SHOULD take....and then there is this statement I found that says some classes are restricted to being taken only after you've been admitted to the teacher certification part of the program - at least TWO of those are available at SCTC, but would I be wasting my time if I took them? (Like, would they just not count UNTIL I got admitted? Or would I have to retake them?) I don't know and to be honest, I haven't asked that specific question yet - as I have other classes I can take first.

Poor Iz. It does get boring sitting around. At least kids nowdays have their tablets and online games and things to do like that. I probably would have been reading a book if that was me though ;) I always loved to read.

And I think I've gotten sick finally, from all these sick kids. I am not like throwing up or anything, but I just feel generally blah. And can't stop coughing (part of which is side effect from two of my medications so its hard to decide is it sick cough or med cough? Or both?) Even with taking cough med and using cough drops I just couldn't stop coughing or clearing my throat today. And my voice went wonky (its not gone completely but I sound funny) We had two out sick and sent TWO more home today by recess. (1145ish) And its only one more day til break. Thank goodness, because I totally NEED a break, and a chance to get over whatever it may be that I have gotten.

[edit] Yikes. So. They sent out a powerpoint to teachers detailing the proposed time changes. So right now for instance, I have to be at work at 715. I get off at 315. (building opens at 715, bell rings to start school at 8, kids dismiss at 225) Nathan building opens at 7, bell rings at 745am, dismissal is at 3pm (So I can drop him off on my way in, and he only waits 15min for me to get off work)

The two most likely proposals (there are 3) have Elementary doors open at 645, Bell rings at 730, dismissal at 215, I clock out at 245 High school door opens at 730, bell at 815, dismissal at 315. This scenario has Nathan sitting at my school for 45min and walking over, because I won't be able to drive him over (unless a bus can run him over there? I'd have to see. I know there is a bus for the little kids in the afternoon that goes to the highschool, so it stands to reason they could grab a kid at an elementary and drop them at the highschool in the morning.... And if he walks - this is if he is even ALLOWED to stay at my school? Sometimes they don't allow teachers kids to do so...what else can I do tho? I mean, he can sit in the car I guess in the parking lot which they wouldn't be happy about that either!!!) And it has ME waiting 30min until he gets dismissed. Second one is Elementary doors open at 7am, bell at 745, dismissal at 230. I clock out at 3. Highschool doors open at 745, bell at 830, dismissal at 330. This has Nathan sitting at my school again, for 45mins, and me waiting 30min for him to dismiss. - so same scenario, just slightly different time frames for it. Both these will be a pain because he is ALREADY hard to get up in the mornings, and next year I have to be at work earlier, and he can't even be dropped off to hang out with his friends?? UGH.

The third option has Highschool doors open at 650, bell at 730, dismissal at 230 Elementary door open at 730, bell at 815 and dismissal at 315. This one is worst to me, because while I could drop him off later (on my way in, before his bell rings), that part is good, but the bad part is HE gets out 45min before elementary does, and I can't clock out for 15min after that - so an HOUR of him out of school doing god knows what while I have to be at work and he can't be there at my school? ??? NO!

(BTW, the middle schools would be opening at 815 or 830, bell ringing at 9 or 915, and dismissal at 4 or 415, but this doesn't affect me as I don't have a middle schooler)

And God forbid he actually gets his license and decides he can drive himself to school - while that would help - I would be terrified he would NOT GET UP and NOT GO TO SCHOOL (at all, or on time!) Because I'd be long gone and wouldn't know!!

Hey guys. Everything is packed and at dads. It’s been busy. Plus I finally picked up my laptop for work. This weekend will consist of moving all furniture and cleaning behind everything that’s being moved, then next Friday it will all be done. Then we will be moving everything back. I’m sure I’ll decide to get rid of more stuff. Not taken anything to the charity shop since last Sunday.

I'm going to try and clear some stuff out as I get out all the Christmas stuff, I think. This week, while I'm on break. And then again maybe during Christmas break too. If I can manage the energy (because i've been sick the past few days - just blah-ish feeling and coughing) :P Today I have gone shopping for all the thanksgiving food plus regular food/drinks/household supplies. Then I am washing laundry. I need to redo my bio labster assignment. Then I can start on next weeks stuff (once it becomes available - at the moment I can only read and print out the chapter summary/vocab words -which I am doing because doing that has helped me in my quizzes). Need to write a little more on my paper for english as well as I swear the man changes crap every time, so he added in that we should put in how we felt the characters changed, so thats another paragraph for me to write. Won't take long thankfully. Just need to figure out how to word it.

Have only been buying vegetables and milk, basically, for the past 6 weeks. Alex and I went grocery shopping today and it took for everrrrrrr.

Still getting rid of everything we own too, Luce was a major inspiration :P I've been using all four of our trash bags for the past 3 weeks, instead of just the 1/2 we normally use.

And lots of runs to the salvation army/goodwill, too, dropping stuff off that we just.. don't need anymore.

I am pretty stocked up on meat myself right now. I did buy some hamburger yesterday so I could do tacos and chili. But I have plenty of beef/pork right now. And I got a big ham even though I dislike leftover ham forever (it's ok a day or two but after that I don't want it). But the big ones for some reason taste better than the smaller cut ones. (I always get a spiral sliced honey glazed ham) :)

[edit] 1035am Well, not sure if I made progress or not. But I have a giant pile of "get rid of" (burn, donate, trash, whatever I decide to do with it) by my bedroom door and I can walk around in my closet again. Oh well, yes then, I guess I did make progress (IN THE CLOSET!) however I cannot walk into my room very well atm hahahah!! Got to move it all outside to burn or trash or car.

glad to be if inspiration. 😂

It’s official we are already for tomorrow. Ian’s looking forward to it. I’m ok at the moment. But tomorrow it’ll be a different story 😭

When we moved everything to dads I was strict and got rid of loads of stuff. But when we start bringing things back from Friday I’ll go through everything again and try to get rid of even more stuff. I like the house less cluttered.

I’m in the office all week to. Which will also be weird. As I’ve not dine that since march 2020. Then next week, I’m. In the office three days a week which will be my new days in the office. I do love just doing one day I’m hoping my new lap top breaks so I can stay working at home.

I don't think I'd like to go back into the office, after working at home.. but then again, maybe sometimes it's nice?

But you have a life, Luce :P Unlike me haha.

There are currently 21 bags of garbage waiting to go out. :/ All teh girls cleaned their rooms this morning. I am.. flabbergasted. Like.. IDK what to do with this.

I hate it too. It’s made me realise I’m not good at making small talk with people I don’t like. And as I’ve gotten older if I don’t like someone I can’t hide it any more 😂

Wouldn’t say I have a life so to speak

21 bags that’s great going.

It's kind of great going.. except that it's literally all TRASH. And we only get 4 bags a week.. and we normally have two with everything else. So.. it'll take a while to get rid of :P

Yeah, I'm.. not good at it, either!

Well, I mean, you go to the pub nights and trivia and stuff. That's fun, and you see and talk to other adults!

Whoa that is a LOT of trash. Why are you only allowed 4 bags? Is there a place that you can haul the others off to? I mean like if its not stinky old food trash and just paper/clothes trash, it won't stink up your car, so if there is some place you could haul it to? I don't have trash service (I could, but when we first moved here and I tried, they left my can more often than not....so I stopped and just haul it myself) - we use the nearby trash dump for household trash (its not the landfill, its just a dump site for trash/recycling - they haul it from there to the landfill I guess) Going to the landfill WOULD cost $ per load I think...I haven't ever done it, but I remember someone saying that ....

I am very bad, I let Nathan burn a lot of the stuff that is burnable rather than haul it off to the trash. I have a small pile of things I will take to the thrift shop.

I have also burnt my thumb and finger with the hot glue gun...fixing the old cat towers because I like them better - Cheddar clawed holes thru the cardboard tubes that hold the lowest section to the bottom, so I got a 1x1, a peice of cardboard from a wrapping paper tube, and twine. And hot glue. :P Got to do the other one, then I'll switch them back out and give Katie the new blue ones I got to replace the old brown ones. She has a cat, and their roommate has 2, so they'll get good use.

you will be soo happy once its all done and finished tho! I'm sure of it! And hopefully working in the office won't be too bad, does everyone have the same days, or are some of you alternating, since you said only 3 days a week for you....? Maybe you'll be with people you like/tolerate instead of the others ;)

Oh, we always burn the burnables, and recycle the recycling. We have a burn barrel, and it's legal here, though. Just papers, cardboard, etc.

And because that's the amount you get for week, 4 bags. That's actually the most you can get LOL. And nope, nowhere else to take it. So it's just.. waiting, mostly :P

I had gotten Lily a trashcan for Christmas (hey, she asked for it!) and I just asked if she wanted a present early, and then I gave it to her. And she walked out and was like "IS THAT A TRASH CAN" with a big smile on her face and tears in her eyes LOL. She is VERY excited about it so.. who knows. :P
