Know of any good potions to equip to my pet that will extend my life against the Hydro? I get killed in the first round.

Do you have a full blocker to use on the first turn? It can still potentially freeze you right out of the gate, but if you start with a full blocker + freezer and then keep freezing until you run out of scrolls, it helps.

I use + + first turn and then cycle through all my freezing scrolls until it unfreezes lol

And since you asked about pylonics, will all do damage (15, 13-23, and 12-17 icons respectively, and the other dark potions will each do 11 I think? The type of icon shouldn't matter as far as I know as long as it's frozen since it won't block anything) also has a chance to freeze so it might help if you have the sP to throw at them and not many freezing scrolls

@ Jules so for anyone wondering, here is the 2019 prize breakdown by damage. Since the staff have knocked the Core requirements down to 10mil, I would think that they would amend the other requirements, however no word of such has reached me. This is just meant to give an idea of the previous reward thresholds by damage.

Just wanted to say thank you again for the loan and advice! I'm getting very close to half a million in damage so far, and based on the 2019 list you just posted, that's not too shabby for a T9 pet! I'll be ecstatic if I can break 1 mil.

Did you mod your ? On Subetalodge it shows one mod slot for it. I have 2 in my scroll library and tons of the pylonics and potions. Which full blocker do you use, or do you just freeze him as much as possible?

Full blocker weapons are Shinwas Temple Shard, Rainbow Vortex (which also has a chance to freeze, check subetalodge for when it scale to full block but I believe it's low) and Amulet of Neutrality (which can sometimes last more than one turn before it breaks for the battle. It's unfortunately rare and expensive).

What about shields, as is obtainable for me right now?

My gate keeper collar isn't modded at the moment (I don't have the battle tokens for upgrading my into the helmet yet so the collar is my freezer) The Rainbow Vortex is my full blocker, so I start with those two to freeze the Hydragellos and block all its attacks and the Morosbane to get some damage in since I don't need to use a freezing scroll with it

I only have for freezing scrolls, so after Morosbane then I run through those until it stops being frozen (Gelaspell can be used multiple times so sometimes I get lucky with a few extra turns) and I end with just because it's in my scroll library lol but a second Morosbane or other attacking scroll is good for the last turn if you know it's probably going to knock you out (I have a tier 10 pet and sometimes last two turns after the Hydragellos stops being frozen, but usually after that it knocks me out)

Depends on how much you want to spend.

[edit] Thank you so much!! I had a gate keeper collar in my wardrobe. I put it in my armoury now. I also bought a feather explosion scroll. I have another question though. What does it mean when it says -3% healing on Subetalodge? Is that inflicted on my opponent? If so, I gotta go through the scrolls again because I skipped over wishlisting a couple because I though it was minus healing on me. :(

It’s a negative heal on you. For some powerful weapons/scrolls, they take away a bit of your HP as a cost of using them.

No, it is on you, unfortunately. I got a brand new shiny this year which makes up for the -3% heal on some of my scrolls in this fight specifically. It also doesn't really make a difference if Hydragellos is going to 1-hit my pet as soon as it's unfrozen regardless lol

I'm not a super serious battler so I'm not sure honestly if it makes a difference in other situations but I would rather rely on various small heals + freezing scrolls than avoid them because I'm still taking less damage that way

I feel the same way about healing. If I can freeze my opponent, it could give me a chance to make up enough HP to continue the battle. That's why at the training center I only train for health and use the EXP points I earn in battles and battle quests to raise defense, strength, and speed.
