I've been defeating the gelatin golem for some throwing vials, but are there any other good potions that do decent damage and aren't too spendy? Willing to consider anything under 25k apiece, I have the money it's just I don't want to go completely overboard.

My calculator says I've still got 1580 battles to go (really less than that but I underestimate at 5000 damage per battle, so when I re-calculate my results make me feel better haha) and any extra damage is helpful.

ETA: Have forgotten about the Dark Fire potion and its brethren. lol i'm forgetful

just in case you're still beating on the hydra -- there's no point in doing more battles with whichever pet did 200+ losses! if you still want to fight, i'd switch to a second pet to get more participation prizes :0

I really appreciate your posts, I started following your advice on the last page for Celesdragon and it's really bumped up my damage. I only have 1 Void scroll (and not enough AP for a second one + the Deluge & Cobalt, though I could always improve that), is there something you'd recommend using as a substitute freezer/other on the 3rd turn?

Not sure if anyone else is fighting seriously with a tier 8 pet. I’m 160 battles in. 363,563 damage. Curious about others’ damage at that tier. My pet’s low strength is likely holding me back.

@ Marina I'm glad I can be of help! Do you enough of the extremely hard tokens to buy a gale force scroll? They have a moderate chance to freeze. There is also aero subzero with a low chance, but its permanent as memory serves instead of another once per battle. If you have at least 2000 speed unstable fairy has a 6% chance to freeze, so maybe better off trying a glaciating pylonic. Also equipping a negating pylonic for the one use full block, just keep in mind that pylonics are attached to each pet and as such they are gone forever after use.

I don't have a gale force atm, but I'll let you borrow my other two mentioned scrolls and see if that helps you any. Oh and a Morosbane as a possible bomb.

With that said, the dagger seems to be a surprising good weaponh and I don't think anything else you have will serve you better than the trident. But hey have you transformed it into the blessed version for tiers 8 and onward? That goes for anyone using a trident from T8 and above.

@ Elysium Thanks! I actually won't take your scrolls because 1) I actually don't have 2k speed, rip - still around 1700, and 2) Those other two scrolls seem pretty cheap, so I'll pick them up/make them myself to help build my armory up over time :)

Edit - I just learned about the Blessed form this week! It's made the trident way better, from what I can tell.

I get 0 damage the first few rounds -- while he's frozen, and then only 8K or so for one or two hits. help me ;)

Get rid of bludgeon. While it's frozen use the bear and Ballista or Ballista and Swashbuckle. Don't use Quill at the same time as a full block. If your pet has enough to stay alive for a hit most of the time then use Ballista with the helmet for first move and save full blocks for later when health is low or Hydra has generated it's bombs that are auto kills unless blocked.

Can somebody explain why I get 0 damage on him while he's frozen? I'm throwing vials and scrolls and good weapons....what am I missing?

Chazezmom It looks like you are using things that don't do damage together, like the rainbow, quill and shriek scroll. They are still good because they freeze, heal and block all damage, they just aren't made for attacking. If Hydra is frozen use your attackers: bear, Ballista and Swashbuckle. If you still aren't doing damage with those when it's frozen then something is wrong.

And keep in mind that its health bar never decreases, like with regular opponents. As long as your side of the screen displays damage at the bottom, you are hurting it and working toward your progress.

The Potion of Phoenix and Potion of the Robot are both weapons! They are once-per-battle, with 2 mod slots.

You can get them from the battle token shop. You don't have to buy with sp if you don't want to.

I just don't have enough battle tokens to get one of them at this point, sadly. I figure it's gonna take me a while to get 210 tokens for each one. My pet just reached Tier 9 with 2112 Health Points. I've been working on that stat mostly. I do have all my other stats just over 1,000. My battle pet is

Can anyone suggest potions or pylonics to use in battle? I know they are only one time use but every bit helps!
