low tier 11, 2580 hp and 103 AP, so i don't have any delusions of being able to survive the first attack 😅 so i go for a slow and steady 100% block and freezer on the first turn and chain freeze approach.

freezing baguettes in all mod slots except for the first two, they both have singed.

my scrolls aren't amazing; lots of perilous whirlpools, a cold blast, and a psycho smasher with gelaspell as my constant (should i get insanely lucky and survive to that point). the good freezing scrolls are a bit out of my budget right now and i couldn't squeeze even one win out of stomper (or nightlady last morostide) so maybe next time.

the reason i went with the catoblepas toy was because it doles out pure damage in addition to the freeze compared to other freezers i have in the hopes of increasing my overall average damage per pull; it's a more recent change after using my usual intricate energized helm and realizing that it wasn't doing much else besides freeze since blessings are disabled. i considered the scientist specs because of the small boost it gives but decided against it because overall if my luck runs out early on and i don't re-freeze it on the second turn with my scrolls, i'm toast so i might as well squeeze in as much as possible from the catoblepas toy in the first turn.

i did end up buying a potion of the robot after reading this thread but i'm not sure which if any bomb i should replace with it. i'm also wondering if i should change up my constants, although i'm sticking with rapier solely for its freezing capability to drag out the fight as long as i can. any chance i can get to keep that hydra on ice!

Put Robot and Acorn for turn two if you generally only last two turns. If three turns is the norm, put the Robot and Acorn for turn three with the Flame as setup on turn two. Crit mods on all your bombs.

Yep, nope, no way! In 2 turns I only got 910 damage and knocked on my butt both times. He's an expensive challenger!!! My pet is tier 8 with 2106 HP. With all these errors it will take a whole lot of sP and time to get 15,000,000 damage on him... :(

thanks lol and good luck with hitting your 15mil in time! Just a heads up that Keith confirmed no extension, since outdated coding with this kind of event is causing the lag. So battle battle battle while the site is semi-stable!

thank you for the suggestions! :D i've swapped in the robot bomb to replace the item hunter's bomb and put crit mods in the bombs + catoblepas. whether or not i survive past turn 2 depends entirely on psycho smasher successfully freezing... xD

i broke 4 million before going to bed last night and the site seems to be a lot more functional today (no blank pages yet knocks on wood) so i'll hopefully be able to make good progress today.

For Hydra, you don't need more than 2 main attack weapons because stealing is disabled. You also don't need blaster because it has a ton of weapons from generation and what you nullify won't make a dent in what it can use. Use the weapon slots you free up for bombs, freezer, curse generators/stat boosters and/or full blockers. Which you choose depends on what you need to either stay alive long enough to do some damage or if you can normally stay alive for a bit to crank your damage as high as it will go.

Finally done... Or am I? Now I feel like I need to continue on to 15 million just in case they sneak in extra rewards for those who reached the original goal. Maybe I'm just being paranoid but I think I'd better do it. At least I still have a couple days so I can take my time with it.

Edit: I saw the message from the battle admin that in the interest of minimizing server strain, we shouldn't go over 10 mill and there won't be extra prizes, so I won't do it. But I'm still nervous they're going to change their minds after the fact. Sorry for my trust issues.

95 losses, 10.1m damage. Zzzz. With each attack I toss those Dark "element" potions that BQs give out. Couldn't find a better use for them really.

666 loses and got 10.3m. I don't think I'll go for trying with another pet. Battle events always remind me why I don't like battling and don't want to invest more into it.

My strat was to freeze with a shriek or the Deluxe Death Shard then hit with a bomb. Thanks to following this thread I bought a Potion of the Robot. So I used that along with the Acorn Bomb. If I lucked out each of those on the turn I used one would hit for up to 2.5k. After I used both bombs I'd just smack with my weapons for each freeze until no more shrieks. Even though I would hit for 1k-1.7k, I could last a few goes before being knocked out.

23,628,121 Total Damage I have 260 losses in total, but I doubt they are all from this year. Did statistics reset? Anyway, I'm not aiming for high damage per battle. Pet is capped with Health: 11002, Strength: 10002, Defense: 9000, Speed: 5000, AP: 270 x2 x12 x3 Tactic is basically chain freezing, using both bombs after first freeze, then going on until I die, sometimes getting some extra rounds after a full heal. I was on hiatus for ten years, has been a while since I battled him and it worked differently back then.

I'm struggling along, barely hit 120K total damage so far. I feel like my T9 could be dealing a lot more damage if I had better equipment, but most of it is either out of my budget and/or I need to get stronger to start being able to earn better equipment. I'm averaging anywhere between 750 to 2000 per battle.

My current set is mostly modded out with Crit crystals. I've just resorted to smacking the Hydra with the Acorn & Minotaur, and if I survive a second round, then Minotaur & Trusty Blades. My scrolls are useless. I've slowly been training with the hopes of being able to earn Shrieks eventually, but for now alternate Cobalt Eternals and Holy Deluge.

How much AP do you have? Unfortunately I've loaned out all of my lost-cost freezing scrolls and full blocks atm or I'd offer you a hand, the only alternate on hand is The Void Scroll but its 50 ap for a one-turn block and high freeze chance.

144 AP, I definitely have the room for better scrolls. Most of them are just too expensive or locked behind harder opponents at the moment. Appreciate the offer though!

Okay, you definitely have enough AP so I'd like to suggest adding these for the duration of this event. Trade Lot

Turn 1 use the first Void and see if it freezes. Use your main attackers here. If the freeze goes through, turn 2 use your acorn bomb with potion of the robot and holy deluge. Turn 3, attackers with second Void. Turn 4, attackers holy deluge. Turn 5, attackers and a cobalt. I believe that would net you a little longer and more damage per battle.
