I just bought the item to unlock cursed effigy the tormented but am wondering before I use it if I actually have a pet that could beat him. Colsons stats are Level: 895 Health: 1530 / 1530 Strength: 1526 Defense: 1520 Speed: 1519 Intelligence: 2722 AP: 170 Tier: 9 Also if I do use the item to unlock him will he disappear when fireside is over or will he remain in my battle opponents? It is not a cheap item so I do not want to waste it.

So there are two different version of the effigy. There's plain ol' Cursed Effigy, which is only available during Fireside, and is unlocked randomly by throwing items into the fire. Then there's Cursed Effigy, the Tormented, which is unlocked with the Iron Fireside Lantern, and then available year-round. Plus, once you get a win on him, you'll earn back your Lantern (which is nice, it's a pretty good low-tier bomb).

Your pet should definitely be able to defeat the Tormented version. He can't be frozen, and your pet can't heal during battle, so make sure you're focusing on defense and hitting him as hard as you can. Good luck!

- I mean, what Evil said is a little extreme, but not entirely wrong, none of the cash shop boosters give intel, and only that one gives HP (along with other stats). If you wanted to focus on just strength. defence, and/or speed, the enchanted charms are worthwhile, but otherwise, yeah, save your CSC for books or sell. Intel is best stat.

Sell the CSC for sP and buy other boosters to get the same effect your going for was my point.

The ones that give 3-7 of a stat are 50 CSC each....which rounding down puts it at 3m per booster for 3-7 of one stat.

The combo one gives 2-3 of Strength/Defense/Health/Speed for 100 CSC which rounding down is 6m.

You can get much further using the sP equivalent to buy the other available stat boosters for the desired effect.

The only thing you get is convenience....which comes at a premium.

Oh yeah, and they aren't on sale this year for 25 CSC, so yeah, they kinda aren't worth it. Avg about 600k per stat on the charms, which is more than you typically pay for a shinwa booster. IIRC I bought a ton of the charms a few years ago when they actually went on sale for 50% off, much more worth it then. I still have some of them in my vault though cus I decided to try and focus on HP boosting instead of the other stats which are cheaper to get with EXP.

Does anyone know if cursed effigy (the fireside challenger) drops the stat booster Singed Scale of Red Rreign past 10 wins?

I just did 20 fights NO LOOT was dropped past 10 wins but I got 40 EXP each fight and an occassional very hard token.

Hope this is helpful for someone.
