An interesting thing happened today, my car's check engine light came on. I'm glad to have done the inspection earlier this month. Had I waited, this would've made for a good deal of trouble. When I had my tire replaced, I was informed about some potential problems. Fortunately, my registration had come in today, this allows me plenty of time to look into the root cause.

However, I have to wait until next month to purchase what is needed. I'm logging off early tonight, I need to appraise the situation.

[Edit] IT'S STILL AUGUST! I see Halloween crap in the stores. It won't be September before the Christmas crap is up too.

I saw those same decorations in the stores...such impatience. I am surprised they even clear the shelves. Why not just leave every holiday crapload out, and just let everyone pick through what they want throughout the year....LOL

It turned out to be something stupefying, the has gas cap had been left off. I suspect this was done when I took my car for a tire replacement.

I spent yesterday clearing a yard for a cousin, and I was surprised to see my pedometer ready over 11,000 steps for the day. All I did was pace around doing my job... But I'm also bugged that I had to turn down another day's work on account of lacking time, more so now that I broke my glasses.

This holiday commercialization is just stupid. It's like some people think celebrating is mandatory.

OH! Can you get it replaced easily? So sorry about your glasses! Those things sure can be spendy to replace. I have worn glasses since i was about 2, and some have asked why not get contacts. I think I would be lost without my glasses....LOL They are part of me now.....just call me the specs lady.... 😆 Seriously though, I sure hope you can get them without having to spend too much.

In the end I'll have to make the expenditure, but I was looking to doing this anyway. I'm not certain what my insurance can cover, but I want to get this done quickly.

Our power went out half an hour ago, so I will have to spend the evening outside. A storm is brewing so the setting is comfortable.

Tomorrow I get to spend the day with friends, working on the Fiero I think. The plan is to then watch Star Wars, I guess that will do for a send off of the summer. I can't make sorbet until the fruit is ripe.

Oh, I see! Well, here's to it not being too expensive! ;)

I'm certain some places have a good offer for one or two pairs under $200. This little turnout would be case in point. Until then I'm forced to use a makeshift repair ,( rubber bands :P )

The wind is not strong, but the storm is looking like it'll pass by my location. The outage may last well into the night. I'll pass a time having another Frito pie for lunch.

I wonder if a place like that would be better than the eye doc's. The last I have always just got mine from there, but this last time I was very disappointed at the quality of frames. I swear these are for kids! Now, I am a very short woman, and often mistaken for a child, but these are ridiculously small! Still considering taking them back.....

Was your meat (in the kind they made at school) really finely ground? I loved that stuff, but I have never had it like that again. We make our own meat here at the ranch, and I cannot figure out how they had such finely ground beef. LOL

I can't remember that far back. All I remember is eating the food regardless. I grew up impoverished, school breakfast and lunch was pretty much all I ate then.

I hated the oatmeal, it looked like vomit. Perhaps that is why I make mine so thick it's eaten with a fork and knife.

I am not sure why I remember that, it just always stuck with me - probably because I loved it so much....lol It was just so different. I don't remember the flavor, just the fact that I was intrigued by such small beef chunks. Yes, I am weird. 😆

online you pick the glasses and frames and they send them to you...your eyedoc should have a copy of your last RX and gives it to you..request it emailed to make it eaier on you. then go to eyebuy direct follow the instructions...you put up a pic of yourself and try on ANY frames you want...the distance brterrn your pupils and length of over the ear thingies is needed usually you can read a little of part of that on your old glass freames...anyways my RX is superstrong so contacts are a relief sometimes...BUT i LOVE my glasses and am ready to buy more.. like i said i think they have a two for one deal..mine fit really well too.Somehow they do online eye exams too..i have NO IDES how.

Oh, some people. Me and my friend went on a house call, to see about another friend's Audi. He told us about a misadventure that resulted in his car dying. It was flood damage, and the symptoms told us much. The short version is the engine needs to be overhauled, disassembled, rebuilt, and so on. The water damage isn't the trouble but the sediment. Engines operate with very small clearances, to the order of thousandths of an inch. Sand particles are along hundredths, isn't doesn't need much imagination to understand the damage.

[Edit] Day one of the semester, I'm at a campus to buy my books. I should also see if my student ID needs validation. No word about my first online class today, I'll be checking daily until either my shop on Saturday or I get a notification.

Funny that when I mentioned my art commission, my friend informed m about the artist. He tells me the work is in progress, and that my figure isn't needed for further reference. I may get my figure back by the weekend. Though I haven't seen any hint of the picture to date.

It's a sad day for me now, my PSP may have met it's demise. I left it to charge overnight. I checked it when I wanted to use it outside, but the battery was low. I put it the cable on a different charger, no sign of charging. I think the charge port on the old device itself is the problem.

It was going to happen, the end of the classic handheld of my time. Time to send the relic to a recycling drop off, and make the effort to learn to use my phone.
