My strain has disappeared, too. I was at stage 5 Magical, but it's not unlocked in the wardrobe. :c

I don't know if this is related, but I've been stuck on stage 3 of Sticky (a vial strain) for longer than I think I should have, unless they forgot to reduce the times for those ones?

When did you start your vial? From what I can tell, stages should be taking 8-9 hours each.

I would give it a few more hours. With three stages to progress through, it can take between 24-27 hours to finish your vial. Hopefully it is near the end :)

Oooooooooooof. I think I figured out the root cause of the skins not unlocking. Like I said in a previous post, we have a lot of caching across our systems to make sure that Subeta keeps loading quickly.

The skins were cached, with the broken base giving code, and that cache wasn't expired when we fixed those skins with the new ones.

I've just made this fix and hopefully we'll see the infections start turning into wardrobe skins over the next few hours. If the fix worked, then we can figure out how to give out previous infections.

Thanks for sorting this. Will we be getting an alert when the skins have unlocked, or will we have to keep checking the wardrobe for them?

I do have one question about the new skins and I'm sorry if it's been addressed already, but one of our traditions for Survival is to vote on our user-chosen nicknames for the new strains each year. We've already chosen them through a user poll, but I'm not sure if they were given to Amber yet. Can the new skin names be altered in the wardrobe later on or is that not possible? (Usually Amber is given the names before the skins are added to the wardrobe so I don't think this scenario has come up before.)

I was in my wardrobe and I went from infected with Magigal to no biting.! I have not been in my profile changes at all! What is going on? This is the second time I have LOST MAGICAL!

The old infections are working fine. So maybe try one of them instead of the new ones?

According to the NVLB thread, you never signed up for a strain. Did you put on a zombie skin at all while looking for bites? That will make it appear you're infected on the forums, but we cannot give you a new infection until you take it off.

I just cleared all skins in the wardrobe just now. I also can not take bires and I did not activate theat. I do not know how to take do not bite off.! I have put on skins before in previous years after the paying for a skin.
I thin I may just go for an older skin. If I can figure out how to get bites again! :(

You can put a zombie skin on after your new infection starts, but you should not before you are infected with a new strain. It will make you appear infected on the forums when your new strain hasn't started yet.

Sign up for a strain at the VIP, do not put any zombie skins on, go ask for bites at NVLB, then wait until you get the

I know it's all very specific, but it has been this way for a few years now. Mistakes happen, but now you know and can get your infections without any more trouble :D

Q: How do previously unlocked skins work for biting? A: You cannot sign up for the VIP while wearing a skin. You can put the skin on after you sign up, however, and be able to bite with it. Even if your virus advances to the biting stage, your bites will be based on the skin. Wearing skins will not affect the progress of your virus.
