Forgive me if this is too cheesy, but........

We're all waiting for the new CW pricing system and rules that staff has been promising/hinting at for a few months to come down the pipeline. While many of us don't feel comfortable submitting or buying new CWs at this time while we wait for these changes to take effect, please try to continue to be as active in the CW community as you can to keep the interest alive until that happens.
Some things you can do-
-Host sales in your CW shop if you have one to move old "inventory." -Use your CW vouchers if you have any from your monthly subscription. -Host or participate in user-made events involving CW giveaways and similar. -Create discussion threads around cw-related topics, and participate in current forum topics like the following to let staff and other users know what you think about proposed and upcoming changes:
Cash Shop Wearable Council Custom Wearable Rules NEED to be UPDATED and made clearer (Recent discussion toward the end RE: price changes)
-Apply to join the CW Council if you're interested in helping to shape future CW policies in a team capacity. -Create or contribute to Suggestions threads regarding potential changes to how CWs function on the site -Encourage friends in the CW community to be active on site instead of on outside venues like discord, tumblr, etc. -Support members of the community by complimenting HAs, or sending encouragement to releasers whose items you've enjoyed in the past.
+More! If you have suggestions for ways to support the community in a non-monetary sense, just ping me and I'll add to the list.
I know several users have still been chugging along with their releases and shops in the last couple of months, despite the slowness and uncertainty. You are troopers! I have some CSC saved up, so if anyone is struggling to fill a first batch recently, please comment me with a link to your shop - I'd like to help if I can!
Also announcing a new ping group for weekly-ish shoutouts for goings-on in the CW community! I haven't created a thread for it yet, but I plan to feature some releases, shops, and events that are going on in the cw community to give more exposure to our awesome and creative members. When the thread is up I will be open to submissions/nominations, so please join the group if you're interested in regular updates!
old post
The site/cw community is always slow in the summer, and this summer has been doubly so since we're all waiting on the upcoming changes to the cw submission process/prices/rules. confirmed that the rule rewrite is currently on hold/being taken over by the CW council, so it may be a while yet before we see any progress there. I just wanted to encourage everyone that is able to keep hanging in there, keep submitting/slotting/buying, stay as active as you can on the forums until we have a better timeline for changes. I don't want to see the community scatter when we're on the cusp of bright and shiny new things! :)
[edit] Some clarification: I understand that a lot of users are hesitant to submit or buy new CWs right now due to the discussed/upcoming price changes that have been hinted at for the last several months. If you want to wait and see how things turn out, that is your choice and it's a totally valid one! But if you can afford to (potentially) spend a little extra now than you might when the changes go through, I appreciate your attempts to keep the cw market going while we're all in limbo.
As for the CW council, if you haven't heard about that you can check out the announcement for it here. Apparently applications are still open for the council, and right now it's pretty small/not very diverse! So if you're a member of the cw community or have an interest in CWs, especially if you're interested in helping shape future policies, there's still a chance for you to apply and participate in the council. I would love to see a variety of artists, releasers, AND buyers working together to make the future of CWs awesome for everyone.

Bless u ♥ This isn't cheesy at all.
I'm definitely one of the ones still regularly chugging away at releases. Mostly because I'm impatient and I want my shiny new CWs NOW lol
I've definitely noticed a sort of change in how CWs are being purchased too. Initial slotting in my opinion has definitely been down, however once they go to shop I've been experiencing much higher sales there. I suspect the new voucher system is at play!
It's just getting over that first batch hurdle!
I'd love to offer my support too in helping people fill first batches they might be struggling to get that last one or two on. Maybe an Emergency CW Brigade could be formed?
Because I definitely don't want to see anyone loose heart! I've always loved CWs and ever since I started releasing myself almost exactly a year ago I've become so much more involved with the people in this community and made so many friends. The thought of it scattering is heartbreaking!
I'm gonna pop in quickly to say that I really appreciate your great enthusiasm and strong support for our community! :)
This is really sweet. I know I just started releasing and commissioning cws but I can understand somewhat how it can be disappointing when sots don't fill. (Sometimes I feel like no one likes my stuff or ideas and ask myself if I should stop but it makes me happy seeing them finally get on site! [S]I'm honestly a little addicted now haha[/s]) but this is really encouraging <3
Also joined the ping group
It makes me happy to see this post from you. I am just a buyer but have been pretty discouraged about the slowness of and lack of new CWs being released. It is good to see that you and others are still committed to bringing us great stuff.
Thank you for bringing the community together. As a member of the council, I am truly disappointed that despite our best efforts, the changes are slow. I just want to apologize for the lack of progress :( I urge you all to apply to the council because we do value everyone's opinion and we definitely cannot do this by ourselves. I am excited to see what comes out from this new ping group!
you are SO STINKING SWEET. if there is anything at all that i can help do to support your lil group, let me know!!! might be fun to host some events or something hehe i'm such a huge fan of yours and this is such a good idea. i'm happy to help co-host events or something or help out with whatever plugs you wanna post (: i dont think we've ever talked on discord, but you can hit me up any time ;; leah#7500
You're too sweet for this world. You are the kind of people we need in the CW scene. <3 As an artist and releaser myself I try to do my part. I'm too broke to help push new cw's on site, but if I can help in any form I would gladly do it!
Joined the group, thanks for this post. <3

Heh. I am More a buyer than a seller, but I do have some items to put through, that are recolors of things I already have on site, that I’ve been wondering about pricing, etc.
I Really Appreciate knowing what’s happening about the cw’s.
Thank You Tartelette!
Hahaha, whatever the reasons, it's good to see you still plugging away and getting things on site! :) So interesting to see your experience with more purchases from shops. Shop sales are still so mysterious to me, but I know there are quite a few buyers out there that prefer to stay away from slotting threads.
That's so sweet of you to offer your financial support too! I haven't had anyone take me up on the offer yet, but if I get an overflow I will definitely contact you. Also, maybe encouraging the use of cwfill both by sellers and buyers could help! Since that's what that group is intended for.
Anyway, you're definitely a big presence in the CW community this last year and it's a pleasure to see you so invested and having fun still. :)
Thank you, this community gives a lot to me and I want to give back if I can! <3
Yes, for sure! Even for veteran releasers like me, it's so disappointing to see a lack of interest. You've started your shop at a bit of an awkward time when there are just fewer sales in general, so don't lose heart yet. :) You've got great ideas and the buyers will come in time! If you need help getting a batch on site, my offer is open to you. Some users have good success adding their extra batches (the ones they couldn't fill by slotting) into their CW shop and selling copies there over time. Some CW buyers prefer to lurk rather than participate in the slotting threads.
<3
You're not just a buyer! Buyers are who keep our community running! That's why I'm really hoping to see some users like you who are really invested the CW community, but aren't entangled with drawing/releasing in the cw council, because you're gonna have a different take on the way policies are implemented. But anyway, I do hope this limbo period will be short so people feel more confident in buying and selling again soon! :)
I know the council is just getting started, but I'm sure it will make a difference soon. :) There have been so many good suggestions and so much good conversation over the years, I hope that all of that will congeal together via council discussions at last! And thank you, I hope it will be a good way to give more exposure to the awesome people in our community.
T_T Thank youuu for the kind words and offers of help! Right now I'm envisioning just using the group/thread as a newsletter of sorts? Spotlighting some current releases/events that might be running. So if you run an event (for a holiday, or just for fun!), you'll be able to tell me and I can update the thread for people to see/come check it out! I'm not on discord but if I ever take the plunge, I'll be sure to look you up. :) Thank you! <3
Thank you, all I want to do is make a positive impact in some small way. :) We have a lot of great folks in the community, but it can be hard to know what to do at times! I don't always have the $$ resources to offer, but I've been trying to at least offer my time/interest when I can. It's a start! :)
If you need help getting something on site (either with slots or just some questions), you can always comment me and I will do my best to help. :)
I love you! You are such a great person and this is awesome to bring everyone together during this slump <3
You are truely an inspiration. Watching so many artists leave the site recently is SO disheartening and then BAM here you are saying KEEP going and don't lose hope. I have such hope for this site and I love it to death and I'm glad that I am not the only one. <3 So happy to be working with you now and can't wait to see what cool things we come up with together to bring more interest to the cw world.
I love the group idea! :D Thanks for the moral support!
Public Ping Group - Xanadu Galleria and RAE Collab
I really really extremely want:Just had this idea recently, and after seeing yours and 's comments yesterday I felt like it was a good time to send some encouragement into the community. <3
Yes, I've been a bit down lately about the state of things too, and worried that people are falling out of love with the site and CWs right before we see the first big positive changes in years. I have faith that good things are coming down the pipe if we can just hang on a bit longer! :) I've loved working with you too buddy, looking forward to the future!
I hope it will offer something good for the community.
bless you ♥♥ this positive energy is so much nicer to see than the constant negativity (that is understandable,,, but not very helpful lbr) ♥
- Thank you for this thread. I'll be joining your new ping group. I honestly think there are a lot of things at play with how slow the CW market is right now. A lot of people, myself included, are waiting on the new rules and pricing. In addition to that, people are really struggling financially, so releases may not have the funds to push first batches through and buyers may not have the funds to purchase at the moment. Just like everything else, it's a storm of perfect conditions. While I would be interested in joining the CW council, I don't know if my mental state can handle it with everything else going on in life at the moment. I expect that others are unfortunately in similar situations.
Hey, I really do appreciate your post here, but I'm a little concerned;
I see in your first post you've mentioned that the rule changes are on hold / etc, but there is zero mention that we've been repeatedly told there will be price changes. Maybe it's just me (I grew up in very low poverty where things like toothbrushes were a rare occurrence) but I feel it's... not fair to try to encourage people to spend their hard earned CSC right now, and potentially lock their items behind a more expensive paywall. We have no idea what to expect with upcoming price changes, but the first time we had an adjustment (from 5k across the board, to the multi-level it is now), people didn't want to buy things that were locked in at the previous price levels (and I don't blame them, 600 csc is a lot for a small item that later only was 400).
I know this is kind of difficult of an ask, but I'd really like to see our community hold staff responsible for pushing this particular change they've promised. If we continue to submit things at the same rate, there is no reason for staff to even bother worrying about price changes in the near future. I understand not everyone can possibly 'stand their ground' on this, but pretending it isn't there is also... just really disappointing.
Everyone's feelings are valid, positive or negative. I know I haven't been all sunshine and rainbows lately, but felt inspired to throw in a little positivity last night and I hope it has encouraged some people. :)
Yeah, I completely understand! There is a lot going on right now, and I know we're all in limbo waiting on the changes. For those that are able to throw in a little extra time or money (and I 100% recognize that not everyone is right now!), I hope that my post will encourage them to do so instead of leaving the site/scattering to the four winds. And yeah, I hear ya about the CW council. I decided against joining myself, partially because I'm just tired (and rehashing a bunch of stuff that's already been talked about before sounds mentally exhausting to me.)
Hey, I always welcome your discussion and feedback, and I get where you're coming from about fiscal responsibility (and also pressuring staff to get shit done, as it were). I did say that if you're able to keep going with submitting/slotting, and understand that not everyone can or wants to for a variety of reasons. TBH, my posting was a bit on the selfish side - I am deeply afraid that if everyone drifts away right now while we're all in limbo, that there will be no revival later on. Plus, it's been a long lonely summer, and I miss the hustle and bustle of active CW forums.
To everyone that chooses to wait to submit or buy until we see changes made so as not to waste money, I won't judge or anything, that's not the point of this post. If we can stay active in other ways, then that works too.
